Ditto on that Veyron. zakyta posted one awhile back, I'd love to have one!

Sony: I hear you on those cars becoming semi-permanent residents on the pegs. Trend should continue as long as Hot Wheels keep overproducing crap castings that nobody wants, or until stores stop stocking them. If they took my advice & overproduce the desirable models, make crap/weird castings into chase models, that should help speeding up the rotation. :P

Downside: Drop in the value for the collectors. Upside: Less scalpers!

I saw that when I first uploaded the pics and checked why only the codes were showing.

Yeah exactly the same thing that happened to me, when I first uploaded the Falcon a few days back. Have to admit it took me a a couple of minutes to figure out why it wasn't working.

I finally secured one Treasure Hunt RX-7. Predictably, they've been going too high.
Man, I gotta get a McLaren F1 GTR sooooo bad for my collection!
Good luck Phil, just keep looking for the right deal. I have no idea how many months I waited for mine($3.99).

Got mine for $5. Also got the new Mad Propz, Classics Cobra and 68 Mustang, Garage 68 Barracuda (black), Garage 69 Camaro (orange) and some scrapes and bruises from a bicycle crash. :P

I got two F1 GTRs for $3.50.. in-stores! :P

Now I kinda wished I hogged them all. Would've totally had an extra 3 McLarens to customize.

I think Jason might be referring to the TH RX-7? For the RX-7, I'm paying $4.49 + whatever shipping for group buy that is sure to grow this weekend, all from suprakid94 on TTP(another recommended seller). I think I've ordered about five cars from him this evening. Andy's two F1 for $3.50, needless to say is a frigging steal. :dopey:

I think I would've saved well over $200 if I started collecting back in 2009. By that I mean I probably wouldn't have ended up buying a whole lot of '09 and '10 cars online for higher-than-retail prices as well as shipping that goes along. With those two years, I may just have started establishing specific castings to collect and may have never picked up a lot of the poop I've been mindlessly grabbing

You are right, we all went through it. You can't really worry about that stuff though. As with any hobby, it's a learning process. ;)

Edit: meet, yes. Can't buy anything for anyone at the moment though with the 1:1 car around the corner. :)

What the 1:1 car you're looking at?

And even though I am replying kinda late (heck, reeeaaall late) it's ok, I can wait later or one day visiting a store that's back in time with some F1 GTRs. :)

I know that can feel. But I'll keep everything open for one. I've been trying to get a F1 in my collection since I seen the car when I was a kid in the 90's!

So I'll be waiting patiently.

I have been on and off around 2006-2010, but I have missed so many cars it's not even funny :banghead:.

That's why from trading and/or buying will come in handy for some of these cars to be in my collection. I have a huge disorder called OCD, and don't get me started on action figures and a few things on my list!:lol:

Wheres Dr. Nessy when you need him?

How about something like a Cavalier, or the last Mercury Cougar they made? I doubt they go too fast.

:P

I looked around couple of stores today & found NADA. I did find these bikes for my nephews, but something tells me I'm keeping couple of them.

Edit: I forgot to add, I found a great blog. It's in Japanese, but it has some valuable commentary on Kyoshos, Tomica Limited, etc. This here compares the two Skyline 2000RSes: A ten-year old cast from Kyosho versus the brand spanking new one from the Tomica Limited Vintage.

It'll bore most of us, but I think Kakashi would find it useful. Maybe.

Nothing at the moment. Cars keep selling before I get to them.

You're looking at a BRZ or FR-S?

What about a Evo or a STi (cars I'm looking at also) or maybe a Mk3 Supra? Mustang GT? G8 Sedan? Nissan 350Z? VW Golf GTi or R32?

Just guessing.

Maybe when I win the lottery.

$8,000 cars or cheaper, dealership only.

Edit: Crapalier? Must be kidding. LOL

Jason, you noob........ nice thing about Cavaliers, you can double its resale value by putting on a new set of tires. Awww, I kill me!

What's odd is that Kyosho re-released the "Tekkamen" Skyline. Mine is the re-released version. Same goes to my 787B...

I have always been thinking that TLV's market is attempting to enter Kyosho waters when it comes to high end 1:64 castings.

Omoshiroi na....

Got back from my trip to Europe yesterday and decided to show some pictures of one of my purchases.

This is an Audi R10 TDI in 1/64 scale manufactured by New-Ray. It was bought at a BP store in France, and has been to the Louvre Museum before. The details are pretty nice, with a good paint job and decals with letters that can be seen clearly. (Watch out for scratches on the car and misplaced decals though, they might be out of place.) The car also comes with a base (as seen in the pictures below) but not a transparent plastic cover, so I'm looking for one to prevent the car from being damaged or covered with dust. (There already is some paint scratched away, as I accidentally dropped the car on the floor when I was taking these photos. :guilty:)
One stupid thing though, is that almost all of the cars have misplaced rear spoilers (as seen in the pictures below), but the problem can be easily fixed by taking the car apart (with only a screwdriver), putting the rear spoiler in its right place, and putting the car back together. Another slight disappointment is the lack of tail lights and exhaust pipes painted on the rear (Shall I paint them myself?), and the rear spoiler and the cockpit are a bit loose, so I'm considering fixing them to the chassis with cement. It costs 4.95 Euro.
New-Ray also manufactured Audi A4 DTMs and Audi R8 Le Mans Prototypes (both pictures taken from a Google search) in the same scale, which aren't available in the store and are in the same series as the R10, I guess.

The Audi R10 with the base attached:

The R10 before the rear spoiler was fixed:

The R10 after the rear spoiler was fixed:

All of the parts of the R10 that can be taken apart with a screwdriver:

I searched this car on Google after I returned from my trip, and it appears there is a better version with a silver rear spoiler, a painted helmet, rear view mirrors and wheels painted silver. I guess I got the other version then. :indiff:

Boy, that one is bit different.....

Hey guys, do you remember that Vintage Racing Bluebird/510 Jarrod posted awhile back? Is this a good price? Should I buy it?

I am so glad about the 787b(another one of your intels đź‘Ť), because without the re-release, I wouldn't have one right now. Didn't know about two separate 2000RS releases from Kyosho. God, they must keep pretty hectic schedule on creating new castings!

I think Kyosho is re-releasing some of their models from their Beads collection and include them in the boxsets.

My 2000RS Skyline is from the Nissan Skyline GT-R Minicar collection (my R33 GT-R Autech sedan also belongs there). Tekkamen is one of three DR30 skylines in the set.

I am wishing that no one bought the racing version of the Hakosuka from the set, or else I'll summon my Ninken to hunt that person down and bring it to me.

I don't even know what ninken is(ninja dog?). By the way guys, that Vintage Racing Bluebird/510 is now $76 + shipping. Aww... I curse myself for not buying the second one when I had the chance.

I doubt any of you guys have used the "Global Shipping Program" on eBay? I just had my second encounter with this thing, and I'm considering taking it off my auctions.

Last time around, it helped me out by allowing this international bidder to drive up the price of the car I was selling, which eventually sold to someone in Louisiana(domestic).

I just sold another car, but this time, a international bidder was the sole bidder & won. I can't even send him a invoice, because eBay invoicing does not work with Global Shipping Program(GSP). GSP estimates the customs & international shipping, then allows the seller(me) to ship the item to some processing center located within the States, then they handle everything from there........ for really HIGH price.

I just email this guy in Germany that, for one, I'm not even sure if he was aware of what he was getting himself into, and that if he wanted to back out of the deal, I'd assist him in doing so.

For those of you who use eBay from overseas, please be aware. We'll see how my transaciton goes.

That's one Bluebird I'll probably never ever add to my collection. Nor that 1985 Mexico Release Shelby Cobra.

Damn it Andy. That's one car worth the price(maybe not $76+ship lol). I think I voted it in as one of my top-3.

Nah..with $76, I rather use that money to go to tools to make my own Bluebird custom. Make a nice one and its sentimental value will exceed that amount easily.
