Nah..with $76, I rather use that money to go to tools to make my own Bluebird custom. Make a nice one and its sentimental value will exceed that amount easily.

I think it's worth $55~$60 at this point. This one did go a bit high, I think because it was the only one going on auction at the time(there is another one now).

I suppose you could always build one, but it wouldn't carry any collectible significance.

Look for a DSM Eclipse, a Impala or a 240SX. There a lot of them out there, but lookout for any problems they may have.

Or look for a Si EK Civic or hatchback or a DC2 Integra.

Lol whats wrong with a cavalier? Lol theres trd parts for it. For 8k, you could always pick up a decent miata from a dealership, an NB was listed for 7.5 near my house. If youre into high mileage stuff you could find some good treasures too, if i had cash, idve bought a 2.5 GT-B legacy wagon when i was car shopping. You really do just have to look around.

No you won't. I have seen 5 in my entire life as a collector. Two of them without the windshield. Oh and a shell Ahmed has that doesn't have a chassis or something like that. The thing is elusive as all hell and when it pops up for sale the price is just irrational even in the local market. In E-Bay is just right-down obscene.

2014 car, that's why. When they start hitting retail, it'll drop in price. Plus someone should report that listing to Mattel, they're cracking down on listings of stolen goods.

I forgot to update that eBay "Global Shipping Program" story. Last night, I tell him it'll be OK to back out, if shipping/customs fee set by the GSP is too high.

This morning, no reply, but there is a PayPal payment in my (e)mail box. I ship the thing to the GSP sorting center in Kentucky.

I come home tonight, and there is a message from the German buyer of the car. In broken English, he did say that fees were very high, and if I wanted to offer a discount to relieve some of the cost, that was fine by him.

I of course had to tell him that I have no control what Pitney Bowes(operator of GSP) charge, and now that item has been paid & shipped, it was unfortunately too late.

I'm not completely sold on this program. When I was leaving feedback for the guy, I did see that he was charged $22-something for shipping. Charges on my end were $10.99 for the car, $3.95 for the shipping($2 loss on shipping ). I do wonder if $22 included my $3.95, and also the duty(import tax).

P.S. I ordered couple of "custom" hot wheels for the first time today. I can not wait to share them with you guys.

Tell me about it, but just like everything else, stick in there! With all of these morons ruining the scene, it's not over yet. Some of them will get bored and will stop soon.

I'm still gonna collect, especially with my favorite RL manufacturers cars keep coming out of the woodwork.

I just dont ship international (except Canadia) so I dont have to deal with it.

I also don't(just ask our resident Canuck lol), but this GSP is aimed at sellers like us, who doesn't want to deal with international shipping.

Personally, I think they are just fine-tune away from pulling it off. As a seller, if I can be confident that bidders/buyers are fully informed about how much shipping & duty they are in for, I would have no qualm about selling internationally.

P.S. One time, I did bend and shipped to Australia. Why? This girl wanted to buy this throwback Blazers Starter jacket for her Blazer fan brother(my avatar).

First ever Secret (or Chase) car in my entire collection!

Oddly enough, no one ever took notice of this in that hobby shop (since the shop keeps allow opening the boxes, as long as it is neatly done). I have thought all along that it's a silver CLK DTM AMG road version since it's the one marked on the box. However, I took a peek in the box before purchase, and voila! It costs just the same as the others in the lineup!

That Japanese blogger who reviewed the Kyosho vs TLV Skyline? On his Yoroshiku Mechadoc review, he reviewed the cars in the series, noted some of the shortcuts Kyosho took to sell the models as the cars from the comic book series. Then he presents the "Champ" RX-7 from the comic, saying it was the "Secret" car.

HE WAS LYING. He got me good. I was close to looking around eBay for it.

The dark green is a 2009 mainline. The black you seen in the photo is a 2007 10-pack release. Should look up databases if you got some free time.
