I hit the Wal-Mart and Target today, and came back with several interesting finds (for me anyway).
Here's everything I bought:

9 cars and a classic wheel car carrier. Backpack and shoe not included. Clockwise from top:
Matchbox Ford E-350 Ambulance that nobody cares about, Matchbox '71 Dodge Monaco police car, black Hot Wheels Delorean DMC-12, Johnny Lightning '70 Buick GSX, Castline Detroit Muscle '69 Pontiac GTO, Johnny Lightning "Project in Progress" series '70 Plymouth Superbird, Hot Wheels Decades '80s Corvette, Matchbox '68 Ford Mustang GT/CS, Hot Wheels '68 Chevy Nova. As you can see, today was primarily a muscle car trip.

The black Delorean before I took it out of the packaging. It was a short card in the midst of all normal cards, but I bought it because it's a Delorean, but it's black. Which is awesome (and never existed).

The Decades Corvette before I took it out of the packaging. Sweet casting IMO.

The Chevy Nova and Decades Corvette. I bought the Nova solely because I love its stance. (Apologies for failing at photography)

The ambulance that no one cares about, the Mustang GT/CS, the Dodge Monaco police car, and the black Delorean. As Cano probably remembers, I saw the GT/CS last time I made the rounds but left it. I saw one left this time, so I grabbed it. The Dodge Monaco is one of my favorites because now I can reenact classic chase scenes with the classic cop cars. Now all I need is a Plymouth Fury cop car.

If I see another Monaco on the pegs the next time I make the rounds, I'm getting it.

I decided to take a look at the Johnny Lightnings at the Wal-Mart and I instantly knew I'd be getting at least one. The castings are just AWESOME. There were some others I decided to let go, but I couldn't resist a beat-up Plymouth Superbird and a black on black Buick GSX with a massive engine. They're sweet.

(Sort of actually good photography alert)
This is my favorite of the bunch. It cost me a whopping $5.50 NOT including tax, but it's sweet. All metal, opening doors and hood, detailed engine and interior, actual rubber tires, and on top of it all it's a GTO. In black. I've decided that from now on whenever I go on a Hot Wheels excursion I'm buying myself one of these Castlines, because they're awesome.
EDIT:
I needed to take all my cars out to resort them with the new car box so I thought hey, why not do a photo op? So here's my complete collection, in all its after-looking-through-this-thread-it's-actually-really-small glory:

In it are Hot Wheels, Hot Wheels Classics, a Hot Wheels Cars of the Decade, Hot Wheels Speed Machines, Matchboxes, Matchbox Superfasts, Johnny Lightnings, a Castline Detroit Muscle, Maistos, Pacemakers (from the '70s), and Muscle Machines (the 3 JGTC race cars on top of the clear car box), for those who care.
