*gasp* I don't see you saying that about my McLarens :grumpy:

They're kickass McLaren's Andy. I'll take them off your hands. :P And what if I liked Matchbox more for their realisticness...back then.

Stopped by Toys R Us today and had a look around. Did notice that they had Maisto Fresh Metal models. Including the new C7! Tempted...but $1.45 is too much for something lesser than a Hot Wheels model.

I'll do my best to look after it for you.

Yeah be sure to walk it every morning and that it gets polished at least once a week.

You didn't get them from me, Ando

Oh. So that's how it has to be, huh, Shinjo? I can onry gain your praise if you ship poop to me? When you don't even ship poop up north? What a load of horsepoop.

That OH5 one is up for trades. I've already swapped the wheels on the loose one ;)

Stealth Project, for those who remember. The roster went down to 11 a few hours ago.

Nobody on the Jag? Guess it goes on the 'bay.

Andy, got your last package, box can go out whenever. Also, I see TONS of Cobras every Friday.

I'm going to pass, but thanks offering. đź‘Ť

I can't be bothered to worry about somebody else's kids!(or car, poop, whatever!)

Nice, but too dark!

(Fluke)

All the way. :dopey:

Ah! So! You would beat me at the game of modesty, too.
Victory shall be mine when I own all your cars.

BTW - what's all the fuss about Speed Machines? There's loads of them posted in here (near every model) about two years ago - so if anyone wants a look go thread-browsing - there's some nice models to be caught.
Like this one:

Dang, nice speed machines! And Jarrod, you lucky dog..... Never saw that Toyota Truck in stores, ever. Good thing Jason hooked me up with a loose one. đź‘Ť

P.S. Batteries comment's a classic. :lol:đź‘Ť

Welp, I have given you a list of Cobras I don't have yet, right?

That package can go whenever you're ready. Shoot me a message on shipping and I'll do the rest.

That's the common reaction I get, but quite frankly I think it's appropriate for the purpose: "Stealth". We should barely be able to make it out, shouldn't we? I mean, I wouldn't display a stealthmobile in bright lights. That seems rather counter-productive. ;)

I will post pictures later, but today I got something I have never seen before. It's the 2011 Peugeot 908 HDI FAP (#9) from the Norev 3 inch series, but I can only seem to find the 2010 and earlier models. Also, the box does not have Norev on it, it's finished in the Peugeot sport colours with the Peugeot logo. It looks like a limited edition that was probably sold at somewhere like the Peugeot booth at Le Mans, has anyone seen one of these before?
EDIT - It's this year/number we're talking about:
Peugeot908-1300ccm.jpg

Would you call ÂŁ6 a fair deal considering I can't find one anywhere else?

Six euros is about the price for a Norev from my short experience of searching those up. Expect them to be in that range. Me Badass Fiasco Fiesta WRC went for about that price:

Ford+Fiesta+WRC+(Castrol+EDGE).jpg

Sweet Fiesta.

I finally found a decent deal on a car I've been on a lookout for a looong time. Kind of let down by it, because it showed up with a noticeable scuff on the windshield banner & busted front axle. I bent back the axle to the point now at least it rolls, somewhat.

Jada Scion xB

While fixing it, I noticed a character resembling "front" in kanji/chinese character. Pretty realistic interior. There is a yellow one I want too, but these cars generally go for $10(got this one loose for $6.50), so Cano will have to wait for pictures of that one. ;)

No senor......

I beg to differ, because personally, I'd want to be able to see the "black". Point of the stealth technology, ultimately, is not to be seen at all. "Stealth" on cars should be a "look", a gimmick that we can observe, not a functional military technology!

Looool. And 6 bucks. Dear God.
Well.... there is that thing called shipping. Car was only $2.50.

When I finally received Jada, I compared it with the xB/Bb from Maisto & Matchbox, size-wise. I then realized that I don't have the Tomica version(discontinued, very expensive). FINALLY found one cheap, ordered it, made this:

Nobody really cares but I do. Hot Wheels make a really 🤬 up one, and I'll never buy it. Well, I have bought one before, but that was for my nephew. I also have the red Maisto, another purple MBX with different wheels(both MBX came in a set), and just won a auction on a white one recently. My Scion xB-poor days are finally over. They are coming down a bit in prices finally. 👍

You paid $6.50 for it in the end, so $6.50 it was. Again, lol
This brings up another interesting point in buying stuff like this online. Keep in mind, I'm not saying right, wrong, one way or the other.

2012, I got in the habit of hunting, and while I rarely(if ever) found anything, there were plenty of gas spent + wear & tear on the car.

Granted, shipping is more expensive than driving around, but when you add up the cost & time expended looking around town for cars, reasonable shipping is actually a cheaper alternative.

I think I'm more like Andy now. Calculating shipping into the actual cost isn't really black & white to him, which didn't really make sense to me until recently. Whether I buy locally, or online, transportation cost isn't really clear cut anymore. $4 shipping isn't necessarily a $4 shipping when I don't have to drive to a store, drive to another store, park, walk around, etc., etc. & I may find what I want, or may not.

Sorry for the long post, but this has been the change in my internet shopping philosophy.

And Jarrod, you lucky dog..... Never saw that Toyota Truck in stores, ever.

:D

More excited with the Hare Splitter though, only one I've ever seen on the pegs. Looks even better than the Flying Customs version.
Buying Smarts: International Hot Wheels

Backed by years of experience.

Do we all get a free signed copy? :D

This brings up another interesting point in blah blah Andy blah blah internet shopping philosophy.

That's all a bunch of bollocks. It's obvious you will never find the Jada XB in stores so you will never go hunting for that one. I want to see you hunting down on the internet for the Datsun 620 instead of picking it up in your local Wal Mart once it lands there and you're casually there to pick up food.

You won't buy all the stuff in the internet. And also, all that philosophy trash doesn't change one bit the fact that that thing was $6.50. You're just stating the obvious, come on

True. That one, I had to buy on the toy peddler.

I think you are still stuck on the Scion. :dunce: It is most definitely a case by case, but what I said was, as with much in life, this is a gray area, not a black & white.

You are right. It is the obvious. Interesting you utterly dismiss it, but each his own I guess. :dopey:

P.S. There is no Walmart near me. And once the Datsun becomes available, chance of me finding one without driving around to all the store near me are a long shot to say the least. ;)

Call it the Scion or the... er... there was this big red old Matchbox pick up you recently posted. That one you won't find at the store either, so you hunt for it online, then pay the price of it + shipping, making it efectively be worth the price + shipping. That you didn't have to go to a store (with the accompanying expense in gas and all that sutff you mentioned) to find it because it would have been impossible for you to find it in a store changes nothing.
