I will post pictures later, but today I got something I have never seen before. It's the 2011 Peugeot 908 HDI FAP (#9) from the Norev 3 inch series, but I can only seem to find the 2010 and earlier models

Out of curiosity, what's the scale of those cars from this three inch series?

Ben: Have you opened the Viper GTS yet? That thing is a beauty. I recommend it. I'm also looking forward to the Kyosho & this mystery purchase!

RACECAR: 3-inch sounds awfully close to Hot Wheels?
Call it the Scion or the... er... there was this big red old Matchbox pick up you recently posted. That one you won't find at the store either, so you hunt for it online, then pay the price of it + shipping, making it efectively be worth the price + shipping. That you didn't have to go to a store (with the accompanying expense in gas and all that sutff you mentioned) to find it because it would have been impossible for you to find it in a store changes nothing.
We are still running specific cars, when realistically, half the cars, maybe most of the desirable cars are hard to find. For someone like me, who aggressively seeks certain cars, I can spend $100 in gas & I still won't find even the new to current releases.

You are a regular in this community. Have you ever seen an American member finding all their cars while they are grocery shopping? All the rant and frustration in this thread about the scalpers, stores not restocking with what we want, going from Target to Target, Walmart to Walmart, that should've given you an idea that shipping versus "hunt" isn't very straightforward! Again, all I'm doing is stating that give & take exist. ;)

Geez, does a6 have anything left?

Great stuff, Ben. Looking forward to seeing your Kyosho's when they arrive. 👍

Not sure how much he has left. I am getting another package off him again so he will have even less then. But Ill probably be getting another real car soon so that next package from A6 will probably be my last big purchase of cars for a while. Im not selling my current car its going to become a project car. I was going to wait until tomorrow to show my Kyosho's but seems there is a new page already Ill show them today.

A Tomica Hello Kitty Car. I got one of these for a friend at work who collects Hello Kitty stuff and one rule I have in my collection is I don't normally sell or give away a car if I don't have one in my collection already. So with that rule I had to buy one for me aswell. The GTS is staying carded. If you do have a loose one around that you no longer want you can add it to my box and let me know the extra cost.

Nothing. He doesn't collect, remember.

Yeah, but you can't exemplify the "store hunt vs shipped stuff" with a car that you will never find in a store not due to scalpers or bad restocking from stores, but because it has been out of production and out of stores for years so it would be pretty impossible to find it in stores. For your example to be valid, you should have used something that would be available in a store right now if it weren't for scalpers/bad restocking/etc.

Also, it still sucks, and for $6.50, dear God

Kyosho Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT.

Ah, those are the ones Ahmed is selling :dopey:

So 1:64 then? Sounds good, likely means those might be about 4 or 5 dollars for one of those. Will definitely check out what else they got if that turns out true.

A Tomica Hello Kitty Car.=

OK, I admit I didn't see that coming.....

j/k

Hello Kitty is collectible, I do think the car is cool in a different way, and I always think that little change-up in the collection is good! It would not surprise me any if the value of this car go up a bit in coming years.

Love the lime-green Lambo by the way. I've looked at it so many times on eBay, but it falls through every time.

Damn straight.

You do realize that this is a made up rule you are preaching to me, right? :dopey: This equation that exist in your head, it doesn't in mine. Current models or discontinued models, they are all costing you something to find it, then bringing it home.

I think we have to agree to disagree, we are beating a dead horse at this point. :dopey:

Measured some of my cars & they are indeed mostly 2 3/4 to 3 inches. 👍

Do we all get a free signed copy? :D

No signing, but you can get a free bookmark made of my boogers. :dopey:

I believe it was 1:57. Also:

Six euros is about the price for a Norev from my short experience of searching those up. Expect them to be in that range. Me Badass Fiasco Fiesta WRC went for about that price:

Wow. Someone wanted this more than I did....

I would say 1/64, might be closer to 1/60th though. I will post some pics next to my other Norev 3 inch LMP1 car and a few Hotwheels to give you a better idea.

My correspondence with tardy seller 1 of 2:

1.5 week after payment:

a6m5 - Can I get a tracking number?

seller - Sorry for the delay, just shipped it yesterday. I'll have the tracking to you tonight.

Next day:

a6m5 - Do you have that tracking number?

seller - what state are you in?

a6m5 - *calls him something awful in head* I'm in Oregon. Want tracking #

seller - I don't want to wake my gf, so I'll have it for you tomorrow.

a6m5 - *more negative thoughts*

What scale is that?

That's 3 people who didn't read all recent posts....

(flips table)

For the last time so no one decides to skip it:
This Fiesta is a NOREV brand.
NOREV uses 1:58 scale.
NOREV roughly costs $7-9.

Nice OEMs Ben. The Kyosho Sesto Elemento is the winner, though. Good for you to score one, as I am having difficulty in spotting one at the store... :( I am partial for the gray one.

My bad, I read but didn't see that. Thanks for the info though, maybe I can find one or two!

Seller wasn't a liar, just flaky. I finally got the tracking number this morning, and it really did ship last Thursday, like he claimed. I should have this car to post tomorrow after work. You guys would recognize it, I've been after it for probably over a year!

He kids..... I'm actually quite entertained when he flips the virtual table, but no pic was inserted this time.

Nice link. Interesting read. My complaint with Daboxtoys is their less than optimal photography. I think pics on their site is barely better than what I take(they are more consistent, obviously), they are microscopic, and way you enlarge them sucks. They do have fair pricing & everything though. I've yet to make a purchase from them, because they never have anything I "MUST" have in stock, or enough variety of cars to buy at least 3, 4 items at a time. I know, I'm picky. I have bought Kyosho Mazda 787B from them on eBay. I wonder how much that thing is worth now. :D

This black magic won't work on me, since I still have mine! I can't bring myself to open the blister though, it's one of the most expensive cars I have, along with my Vintage Racing 510 & Red Line Club Texas Drive 'Em.

Went to JCCS and there was one collectables booth. However that guy was a total scalper. Plus the prices were outrageous. Selling 2013 Celicas, Supras, FRS, and the like for like 3 bucks each. There was a good supply of TL stuff, which upon inspection up close does leave some to be desired. There were a lot of S12s with no price so i didnt ask. Passed on a maisto IS-F. Loose and the guy wanted 8 bucks. Also passed on a tomica (maybe limited?) R33 in blue with detailed wheels for seven (kinda regret that). Same with a loose tomica R32 for 5. There was a pair of Lucky Star itasha RMagic FDs (assumingly by Aoshima) i kinda wanted. Also passed on the Kyosho 1/64 FC which i also kinda regret. I also regret not getting a ST165 Celica model on a base. (It was red with pretty nice wheels, dont know the maker)

Just to show prices too, he had a loose Vintage Racing 510 for 45 bucks. I know how expensive these go on ebay, but loose for that expensive? He had the elusive 510 wagon as well... for 50 bucks.

It's unfortunate how sellers at conventions make just about everything overpriced. Would love to go to JCCS one day. Sounds like some good diecast was there, but as you said, a tad overpriced. And the 510 wagon for 50? Could be worse, could be the Civic EF Hatch on eBay that sold for $255. (Posted by Lamley)

Vintage Racing 510 for $45 is higher than eBay, but I think that's to be expected. Boulevard 510 wagon though, that's nuts.

Selection was great. That seller also had some plastic kits of very period correct cars.

Other booths had some 1:42 selection, like the main JCCS stand had a selection of high detail JDM cars, 2000gt, CPS Silvia, even some EU spec AE86s in that grey-silver two-tone each for 35 bucks (i thought those as reasonable) The mazda booth was selling AutoArt 1:42 of the RX8 and CX-5 for reasonable prices as well.

Looks like RLC will be getting the BRE Datsun 510...
YouTube Link

Knowing my luck it'll sell out first day.

Anyone here with an RLC membership? Might need some help on that one...

First day? That Gulf Drag Bus sold out in roughly five minutes.

As you know, I got hots for this car, but I doubt I'll have any luck unless I have a comp day to burn, and get this particular Tuesday off. Even then, there were plenty of people who couldn't get any cars, last time around. :ouch:

For the third time, I really hate them for doing during a work hour.

Well its not coming up for a while I think. I doubt it'll be as popular as the drag bus but will still go quickly, and I'm not buying their membership for one car.

Wooo...... I'd be looking forward to that Jarrod. 👍

Jason: I think it's gonna be sold out in less than 10 minutes. I hope I'm wrong. If by some crazy accident, I do get two preorders, I will hook you up with one.

Wooo...... I'd be looking forward to that Jarrod. 👍

Total impulse purchase. Was only on their site because I was bored and wanted to see what they have, didn't have any intention of buying anything. I should have known better.

Hopefully they will arrive sometime next week. 👍
