The depth of that tote. Guess how heavy this 68L tote is when it is fully loaded with cars?

Sorry I took a whole month to get back to this, but I'm back with results!

I skimmed a few pages and surprisingly got little competition.
Here were the guesses:

34.56kg by @R1600Turbo
37kg by @Cano
42kg by @commodoreben

The actual weight?

24.76kg. You all went bust so I'm not titling anyone a winner. I will however do another one since I've already packed a small box of cars for some lucky individual. I will ground some more rules in a later post.

Stay tuned!

As always, nice photography! 👍 *edit lol @ Harry

I got so many great cars today. Much thanks to Andy for posting his 'Milky Way' Bread Box. Found the complete line at my secret store(on my first try for once!), so I picked up the Milky Way & Skittles Deco Delivery, also M2 police car I've been on a hunt for months(all on sale even).

M2 Machines 1957 Dodge Coronet Police Car

I've flirted around getting any kind(including Japan Convention one) Deco Delivery, and just over the weekend, I ordered my first one from Tony on TTP, but I ended up getting my second one ever just after the first one barely shipped out. :embarrassed:

Also, big thank you to Jason for bringing up the news about the closure of Johnny Lightning. That actually sad news took me to their website, where I saw this:

Johnny Lightning/TOMY 1965 International 1200 Pickup - Employee Holiday Truck(2012)

I think I ended up shelling out $26, but as far as I could tell, that's the lowest you could expect it to go on eBay these days. Who cares, the shine of that paint job....... Before I forget, this was the Johnny Lightning employee holiday car(from 2012, obviously).

Finally, my Custom Mustang from TTP arrived today.

What a beauty! 12 bucks well spent on this one. It's only matter of time this one comes out of the blisters, too! Hard to see it, but the entire rear surface(around taillights) is mirror/chrome finish. 🤬 awesome.
Fun fact of the day.
My nephew loves both. I guess I should look for that one. 👍
I'm thinking 20 hot tamales will make him part with that. ;) Then again, he might want a burrito thrown in, too.
Hmmmm........... Burrito sounds good......

Thanks guys(Andy, that sounds dirty.....).

I forgot to add, but Johnny Lightning employee truck has opening tailgate & hood(according to their blog). It also came with a clip to use it as a Christmas Tree ornament(not happening):

P.S. To those who are not aware: Tomy of course is the parent company of Tomica, but they also oversaw Johnny Lightning(how much, I dunno). Still kind of surprised they put Tomy on there instead of 'JL'.

Wat. That was surprisingly light.

What value would you give them now?

Over here in Mexico, about $8, lol. I'll explain. 80s Hot Wheels were not too common here at all, and there were two kinds, imports from elsewhere and local market cars made here in Mexico. Both are higly sought after by collectors now because they are way scarce in both forms. Import cars are usually worth 10-15 if they're in great/mint condition, mexican cars are worth 5 times that (and I won't even go into 1,000 bucks mexican Greased Gremlin territory here). So when I buy that 1-buck minty GG off E.-Bay I know I'll be able to sell it over here for about 10 times that. Hey, I haven't specialized on 80s blackwalls only because I like them, but because there's a great market for them in here (:

Over there in the US/Canada? Not so much, as they were very very very common. If I were to sell you guys a mint GG, I'd probably ask 5 bucks at most. Haven't any of you wondered why the hell I've never posted anything to sell in here even if I have hundreds of available cars? Half-value drop, that's why.

And also, speaking of made-in-Mexico cars, I'm going to drop 50 bucks on two mexican cars today. Been a while.

Edit: I'm doing a giveaway. Winner receives a small box full of random cars and your job is to guess how many cars are in this photo without guessing higher.

Consider it an early (Christmas) giveaway.

Here are some facts that may be of use to you. The floor tiles are 11.5" squares, and the tallest part of the pile is 4.25".

Guess away! You all got until December. :)

Well, hopefully they will be here sometime in the next 2 weeks. And a small hint Shinji. One of them you have, the other you don't. ;)

All mine's awesome, so at least one'll be pretty epic.

:P

Still kicking myself for not being able to get around to that one Delta you have. Just too many cars out there I want!

The highly anticipated day has come. Today's deliveries?

100% planes.

Too bad, so sad. But don't worry, I'm offering everyone a chance to play again and for you to redeem yourself

I just dumped my cars on the floor to re-sort them, but then I thought, hey why don't you guys trying guessing how many there are. Anyone is welcome to play if you've been involved with the social circle here in this thread and here is how I will determine the winner: Person with the closest guess without going over the amount. Winner gets that box of cars I have packed up already, and you won't have to pay a thing. Consider it an early (Christmas) giveaway. Here are some facts that may be of use to you. The tiles are 11.5" squares, and the peak of the pile is 4.25" high.

Im guessing 155 cars

This isn't a Hot Wheels, in fact it's not even 1:64 scale, but can the usual suspects here keep an eye out for one of these for me? Supposed to be found at Toys R Us stores. They are 1:43 scale.

Two others coming out that some of you might be interested in: http://greenlighttoys.com/387.html
