Paypal! Darn it! I did NOT need to see that logo!
That Konami thingie is really good. I also want to check out Konami models. I'll have to shop around a bit, but I won't be buying new stuff for a while, since I spent quite a lot of money on the cars I bought this past weekend.
Still Real Riders?Scratch that, I need something with 7 spokes. Hmmm...
I really like those. I have a red R8 from a more recent line.No one's buying my stuff, these two are back in the collection:
2012 All Stars
2009 Sports Car
And here's the latest addition to the collection:
2007 MBX Metal
Is that why nobody's bidding on my VW Drag Bus error w/missing roll cage? I had to try.It could've been an error but it was sold to me loose. Even if it really was, it has no value as an error anymore.
I'm gonna reply to your post in here, so as not to antagonize the "scale model" fans in the other thread. My reason (out of three others) for collecting Hot Wheels: Its cheaper than collecting the bigger scale diecasts.
Perfectly okay. Time to delete/modify a post.I'm gonna reply to your post in here, so as not to antagonize the "scale model" fans in the other thread.
I see HWs as a collector and customizer, and will shift to an investor. My other reasons: less space used, most of the HWs I have I will likely never have their real life counterparts, and the HWs can be sold to earn some quick money.Hell, yes. I do like how much cheaper hot wheels are, but as some of you may know, I don't display model cars. Hot Wheels hobby do work nicely for me, and they also don't take up a whole lot of room, which is another plus. That said, if I was into displaying toy cars, I would go with 1/18, or larger scale. I do like them a lot, just not enough to "collect" them.
I don't really ponder about it, but sometimes do crosses my mind if any of the nicer cars I buy will pay off as an investment. Basketball cards, I used to buy them because I liked them. I recently sold most of them off, as I had zero interest in them anymore, they paid off big time. I think they sold for easily triple what I paid, with the largest payoff off the top of my head, a card I paid $80 something going for $700+. It sure would be nice if some of these cars we collect today payoff like that. Texas Drive 'Em by Red Line Club & Datsun Bluebird from Vintage Racing are displaying similar surge in value....... don't ever stop!Perfectly okay. Time to delete/modify a post.

Come again, how much?I've found it, guys. I've found the very first release of the E-Type Coupes on the web:

SIGH.
Super T-Hunts, after looking around on the web at price guides designed for investors (based on secondary market selling prices) from 2012-2013 (haven't checked 2014 Supers yet), go for about an average of $25 (USD).I don't really ponder about it, but sometimes do crosses my mind if any of the nicer cars I buy will pay off as an investment. Preferred.Still Real Riders?
It's not really worth close to the asking price though, is it?
Well, good luck to you, as you may still 'win' the autographed version. Supposedly they were thrown in randomly, so it ain't over for you yet! I got screwed with their log-in glitch that very morning(since then solved), so it's been game over for me, for quite some time!
I looked on eBay to see if there were any completed transaction for the Jag, but there were none. I guess they indeed are pretty rare.Don't know at all. I'm guessing not, but conventions are always sold for a lot. Like that other dinner '59 Impala I was tempted to grab for half that price.
And monkey will fly out of butt.Speaking of investment, that FAO Schwarz Viper was bought intentionally as an investment. Hope people will suddenly want FAO Hot Wheels really badly some day.
Well.... still, odds were better than lottery. 102 & 118's very low, and oh so close, but you still gotta a killer deal on a highly coveted car! 👍Got my two BRE Datsun's today. No autographs (I'm not THAT lucky). #102 and #118. They look really great in person.
That sucks mang. You really had that many people watching & just one bid?Ugh, hate when you have a car on eBay you expect to bring some good money, 15 people watching the auction helps with that feeling, then 1 person comes in at opening bid with 10 minutes to go.....and it sells for that. Where the 🤬 were the other 14 people?
I looked on eBay to see if there were any completed transactions-
Search first, then from the lower left select either "sold" or "completed" listings. I routinely use the "sold" search to get the real world pricing(for those of us not named Cano or Wyvern). What do you do to enable that kind of search?
Just one. Sucks. I listed for what I thought was reasonable, but with 15 watchers I expected it to jump to at least a few dollars higher. That sucks mang. You really had that many people watching & just one bid?
My starting bids are generally the lowest acceptable price for me. I'm used to very few(a handful), sometimes zero watchers, then close with very few bids, I think most of the time with just one. Since the starting bid was acceptable sell price for me(even the eBay 10% fee is calculated in), I'm happy. Multiple bids, I'm super happy. Downside is, you do get used to the practice of relisting a lot, but I don't mind.
I want those as much as I want those FAO cars. OK, maybe little bit more, but not by much.I see.
Speaking of, I noticed it a few days ago, but that diabolicwyvern completely disappeared from this thread for ages. Wonder where he's at.
Also, that Dinner Car Jag - according to the seller in his listing - has had only 200 units produced. Not even a 4-digit amount.
I don't blame you. That is a lot of watchers.Just one. Sucks. I listed for what I thought was reasonable, but with 15 watchers I expected it to jump to at least a few dollars higher.
Anyone need a 10-spoke HW Racing 24/Seven? Might be a little dinged up, but for $5 or best offer...

Sent them another message, told them they have 24 hours to cough up the dough or I'm reporting for non-payment.At least in your case, you can do something about non-responsive users. I on the other hand, couldn't.
