I'm selling this custom Vintage Racing Datsun Bluebird/510 I made(using crayons) on eBay. Please bid $100, it's worth every penny. I even used the worst card I can find for the car.

Grabbed about 17 cars at Walmart today. Haven't done that in a while!

Won't say I'm a fan, but at the very least the colour scheme doesn't suck miserably, so I justified getting it and breaking it open.

Secondly, found two versions of the RX-7:

Hopefully, the photos make it somewhat clear of the difference. One has the rollcage, one doesn't. @R1600Turbo, I found the rollcage one in a multi-pack. You found yours as a single IIRC?

I could've sworn I saw your post about this before the new year, and I want to doubt that it's not a 2014 Multi-pack Exclusive even though two eBay listings say otherwise. Other than that, here are some other exclusives from the 10-pack:

Fourthly, the fantasies!

Didn't expect either one. Saw it, grabbed it. Wish the wheels weren't coloured (don't care if it's OH5 when I got bright orange wheels to put up with), but what the hell.

Shame it's not a licensed car, but after analyzing more than I usually do, I've decided this is passable. The vertical lights sure remind me of an existing car. I initially thought the whole thing was based loosely off a Suzuki SX4, but then I was thinking maybe a Renault or some other French hatch. It's rather bland in some spots, but it's got a giant wing and large front lamps to make up for it. Will likely touch it up to make it look much cooler.

Thanks Jarrod, and yes, I know it dude. For the loose one on eBay, I asked if she'd do $60 + shipping, seller countered $70 flat. I asked if $70 flat included shipping or not, and if it did, I'd take it. Instead of an answer, she listed the carded one for $150. At that point, I approached the TTP seller if he'd be up for $85(full asking price), but with free shipping, and he said yes. In the weeks(months?) I hunted this thing, I think I was quoted similar price just once(after haggling ), and never actually found one listed this low. That's OK though, I'm selling few cars I didn't like to offset the cost of the big purchase.

It's not worth that. I'd put the market value at around $100. It's one of those cars that would've been nice to get our hands on when it was $20, $40. Kind of like our Vintage Racing Bluebird. We thought they were kinda spendy at the time, look at them now. :tup:

They also promote terrible taste in product quality unfortunately. I'm going to have to do something with several of these cars. Both lots of mine did not sell so I'm still stuck with a lot of crummy cars, and now I've got about 6 more cars to add to the amount. Goodness.

Also, reflecting back, I definitely DID NOT keep it to 250 cars for all of 2013. I highly doubt I'll be able to do it for 2014. Maybe 350. 400 if I can contain my impulse purchases. Came close to buying the RM Mercury. Put some logic into it, thought back to how I grabbed those RM Chevelles and how I told myself to stop after two colour versions, and decided to exclude all Cougars from the collection, minus the Vintage Series.

It indeed was, but it was still hilarious. Even though the seller absolutely clearly mentioned in the auction that this was a presale & the seller is waiting for the BRE to have the cars signed, then shipped, people were still asking stupid questions like "can I see the pic of the autograph?". Other people's kids.

Edit: Although this is the only completed sale that I'm aware of, based on it, I'd guess the value to be around $150. I'd expect it to gradually climb, but if BRE bother to include CoA, that could bump up the value even more.

Guess what? Now you will. I think I have a case of ADD when I'm at home. I was working on the photos, when suddenly I decided to do a quick wheelswap on that super lame lime green COPO Corvette (since I figured it wouldn't take up a lot of my time, got caught up looking for the other disassembled COPO Corvette (I planned to make into a blown street rod almost half a year ago) just to swap parts around to see what new possible ideas would spawn. While I was scrounging through the big box of to-do customs, I found a '64 Chevelle (that was part of the collection I took out at some point but forgotten that I had taken out just recently), a red MBX Audi R8 (which too I took out of the collection but returned it back a few hours ago), a disassembled white 2010 BMW M3 and two Pennzoil Buick Grand Nationals (like the R8- decided to return back into the collection, after a quick wheelswap), as well as the few other cars I had planned on a wheelswap before I even bought them but left them in the box sitting, simmering and marinating for far too long due to forgetting all about it.

Now that I remembered, it was time I did something. And so I did. I have like 20-30 photos to post-edit tomorrow, and completed 6 wheelswaps all in one day. I am amazing.

I will have pics of the cards and the Target Box tomorrow morning. I just don't know whether I should take it all apart or keep it all in.




edit: Correction, it was 8 wheelswaps I did today. Today was certainly a busy day!

I also finally got myself the one Reventon I've needed to complete the collection... Probably one of the hardest-to-find mainline Reventons: 2009 New Models. Scored for opening bid of $2, because no one else found the listing. 👍 All the scumbag sellers that get higher priority got many bids that ended at $3.25, $4, one at $7 even. Then you got the Buy-it-now chums selling it for $8-$10.

Lol, always knew you wouldn't make it. Look at me, I said I was gonna tonne down the car purchasing for this year to try to get some showcase stuff done, and it's only half of january and I'm 100 cars in the hole. One. Hundred.
