Hot wheels is serious business. I thought we all established that lol

But no, I wasn't joking. That's the E-Type I splooged about, that is one I don't have and need to be one step closer to completing the collection. Want something more valuable in exchange?
I thought you were talking about the Zombot. I was thinking how you were as weird as me, collecting Zombot!?

And no. You can have the pictures I post when I get it though.

so sorry lol

No man, the pics look great. I was just making a joke about how long it's been since you've posted pics in this thread.

Oh. I see. Well that should change soon.

Now I'm confused. Was your color rare then, or more common? You may have to draw me a picture.

This color for this car is common, there should be about 15 of them around. Rarer ones are spectra blue with 2 cars known, and black, with only one. By Cipsa standards, 15 cars are a lot.

I'm feeling cheesed, surprised from irony and all sorts of other random emotions that the one E-Type someone beat me to from that seller was someone I know and talk to.

It's SO awkward and somewhat frustrating at the same time to know who bought it and that I can contact this person, except they aren't willing to resell it to a collector who focuses on it too. To be honest, it's a crappier feeling knowing a friend snagged something you wanted after you found out someone nabbed it, than losing the car to an unknown identity. I wish I didn't know, but again, the coincidence of it all is amusing. So be it-I'll find another one.

Awoken sleeping giant......

Got it. I've yet to own hot wheels that rare, but I have owned some really rare basketball cards. Those things are in the class of their own.

I think we are supposed to do one of those high-fives, where I have a dorky smile & you are looking annoyed.

^ It's been ages since I've seen one of these photos.

I've missed them. Please continue using your paychecks to make these colourful photos.

I want to read the next chapter of Countach. :grumpy:

I couldn't stand reading any more of Countach after a few chapters. The cars look great, but I've grown so tired of protagonists such as himself.

I will  that's just the stuff of one morning.

That's racing manga for you. It cannot not suck.

If this "Countach" is in Japanese, might as well read the gibberish that makes no sense to you, as I've never seen a good Japanese to English translation anyways. They all suck.

Cano's picture changes the whole thread. It so takes me back to 2012!

Edit: If anybody's interested in some new(er) cool Matchbox cars, boogytoo's at it again. He's listing them as you read this. I've must spent $100 on cars already this week, I'm taking a break!

Even the "Countach" is pronounced differently in Japanese.

"KAUNTAKKU", they say...

Anyways, it seems that Tomica is once again creating a lot of foreign sports cars, based on that video I posted a while ago.

The next generation F-Series?

Can't wait to see what the Viper would look like...

Ooh, Lesney Holden ute. :embarrassed: Looks very minty. 👍

It's dead mint with the exception of a small chip in the front fender. All the cars in that picture are mint/dead mint. And the weekend after that pic happened, more of the same fell in my hands, including the goddamned Cipsa.

And also, just so there's no saying I don't post pics and bleah:

This was just posted on the HWC website, BRE cars are starting to arrive and:

I received them direct from BRE..very poor quality...reject samples to my eyes,..no numbers, no kar keepers, damaged cards, faded paint, and paint run off on the cars itself..these were sold to us at a huge markup..i am very disappointed..they were treated like mainlines...how much do kar keepers cost especially when you have a working relationship with mattel?...retail about $1 a piece...from mattel direct?..what 25 cents?..i am NOT supporting mattel anymore for 2014...I need to take punitive action to feel better about getting cheated...I will hit them back with my wallet..right now mattel doesn't seem to care..these were shipped directly from asia mattel to BRE...mattel knew they will be resold to collectors..and this "drivel" is what was sent out.

:(

Swear to god if that happens to my Chevelle, I will be 🤬 and will be done with any cars not found in physical stores right there.

So you guys may remember my exchange with HWC regarding the 20-for-1 Chevelle and where I can find the order form. Below are two screenshots of the exchange.

My original message:

Circled in red are how I said I already checked the page for the Chevelle, and the link directing me right back to that same page.

Keep in mind you have to buy 20 cars at KMart between the given dates, and mail in the receipt from that purchase.

Also, the order form may not be available until that date. (15th)

I was in a mood that, to put it nicely, forget thinking, just do.

So as you can see in my original message, I'm not an HWC member, so if I have to sign up to have access to the order form, what so you get with an HWC membership? Is it free (I remember I asked this before but cannot remember the answer)?

What the hell. I hope that's not the case, but then again, I wouldn't be surprised if Mattel actually pulled somethig that low off. It's been a total freefall since a while ago.

@a6m5 make sure to post pics of your car as soon as you pick it up!

Membership is not required. They do those cars to help promote the collector day at KMart. You can buy as many of those as you want but keep in mind you are paying $20 + tax + $3.50 shipping for each one.
