Whatever.

See . . . this is the kind of attitude that gets you into trouble. Before you know it you'll be having so much fun that you won't stop . . . and then . . . then you'll begin to notice the guys in the white coats hanging around you. :D

I know you a busy guy Cano but you can't proclaim something like that and then not provide us with any pictures. . đź‘Ť

Cano is not busy (not like me anyway - I'm busy). Cano is just lazy lethargic lackadaisical ; he hangs around looking at everybody's cars going: Yawn, yes, yes, I have all those . . . whatever . . . GT40 hm, okay got to get that . . etc.

Unless a picture of 'Most Valuable car in my Collection' is seen post haste I'll be visiting the Ludicrous Claims Court soon.

Not that that would make him budge from that permanent siesta he seems to be in.

Good to hear from you Harry đź‘Ť, been awhile since your last post here.

Sorry for the absence - I was hoping no one would notice. Fact is I have been spending every moment of my spare time with GT5/6, most of it online. Made a ton of friends, got heavily involved in hosting rooms, and had so many sleepless nights that I have been a bit of a zombie at work. As for purchasing anything new for my collection - almost nada - I say 'almost' because I have been rushing around and had not a minute to spare for the HW aisles, but managed to pick up some of the Cool Classics SPECTRAFROST models a few days ago when I had to take my son out to purchase some new Pokemon decks (X and Y) which of course had me standing around in the toy aisle . . . so what else is there to do but go look at the model cars?
And if he gets decks - well, hey, then I get cars. Right?

In related news - I found another silver Huayra, so don't feel too bad about losing the last one. On the other hand . . . I was looking through my cars last night, and I seem to be missing some 'Vettes. This means a huge search through many boxes, which is annoying me. I swear I had more - I'm definitely missing some variations I was familiar with. I need to tidy up my collection a bit, but domestic and business busyness keeps stealing my time . . .

Hope to see you guys again more often sooner than later.

@a6m5 - yes, the Mercury is a real beauty - and I often wonder why people don't compare the upper line HWs to the 'other brand' cars they compare with. Most times one sees a premium JL or Tomica being compared with a Mainline.
The HW upper lines are where the real quality is.

Good Luck all. Happy camping, and joyous collecting and so on. May you have the 'Thrill of the Find' ! :)

Harry.

Had a bit of a scare at Kmart yesterday. Found a Boulevard Series teal Honda Civic. I already have one. I saw another at Kmart, but it had no treads on the tires. I didn't get it. I just now checked my Civic, and found out that the treadless wheels are not an error or variation. No need to go back and get the other Civic.

Andy probably know this

Andy actually didn't know. And because he didn't he missed out on an E-Type that's harder to find! On top of that he ended up buying 4 other cars he didn't need out of impulse... again!

Or you could and send them to me. :)

Hey, I'm a busy guy! I just happen to work at home, but all the magazine stuff I do is mostly done at home. Which is cool (:

Ok, I'll post pics of the damned Cipsa today.

It shows in transit now, should have it tomorrow. :D:tup:

Mine should arrive it's destination tomorrow too đź‘Ť

I see. I just wanted confirmation that the parcel has arrived at its destination, because like... it's been over a month now! That's all.

Came across this Realtoy Ford Focus (WRC) at the Goodwill factory. They have a store where they bring out large carts full of donated items that people can come in and pick up and pay by the pound. Mostly items they don't bother sending out to the stores.

Not my picture...but it is the same color and wheels. Much more beat up as well.

Haven't seen one of those before. Nice find. đź‘Ť

Is that why there's a white van parked across the street? :nervous:

Cool beans, looking forward to it. đź‘Ť

@Spacegoat @photonrider, and well, everyone else.

So, as promised, here it is my new hyper-top-tier car, a 1970 Hot Wheels Cockney Cab redline made in Mexico by Cipsa. An extremely rare car, only about ten are known in this color, making it one of the most "common" Cipsas around, but about half of them are in such a good condition, and as you know, in the redline world, condition is only second in value to rarity, and this thing excels in both:

A peek of the white interior, a Cipsa-only characteristic:

The base, showing the typical bad-quality Cipsa rivet:

You're looking at about 600 bucks worth of car here. Cost me $3.

It's cool. I'll take up the slack. :D
Well, look at you go!
Fast Bed Hauler?
Nice find. đź‘Ť Looks good stock, but so much promise for customizing indeed!
I agree, some of them look pretty darn ordinary now a days. Namely the Prototype H24. Some are just not as decorative as they used to be in my opinion.
Hopefully it's passing trend.
Made a ton of friends, got heavily involved in hosting rooms, and had so many sleepless nights that I have been a bit of a zombie at work.
How do you do that? Last time I went thru this was with the Call of Duty 4. Shooters are addicting & keeps you awake. I play racing game & I'm dozing off after 75909@#%Q# lap, running straight into some wall. In fact, nights I can't sleep, I should start playing Gran Turismo.

The HW upper lines are where the real quality is.
I used to think they were kind of funny looking. Funky. They grew on me, big time. đź‘Ť
It shows in transit now, should have it tomorrow. :D:tup:
No email, no nothing.

I hope I run into that someday. I passed on it a hundred times. Now I'm like "I wish I had one of them!".

Good prices, amirite? I did pick up one E-Type.

I like this Focus, but I often pass on the Matchbox ones you see, because I don't think the detail's that great. Yours look sweet! You should touch it up little bit, and set it up with real riders!

Did you remember how to use a digital camera, or did you have to have your wife show you?

:P

On a serious note, that is a looker! You know I'm not a huge fan of the Red Lines, but that is one sweet casting. Also, were you being serious about how just "ten" in that color makes it the most common color? Amazing job buying it so cheap!

P.S. Johnny & Jarrod will be by later to clean up the drool off the car.

Frontier DSL is the worst internet service, also Frontier have horrible customer service. Thank you.

Took me an hour + downsizing this pic to nothing before I could upload this one.

2007 Hot Wheels Fright Cars Zombot

Do I look like a dog to you?
You ain't foolin' nobody!
Call themmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Lazy. :P

Did you get a confirmation email at the time you ordered it?
I didn't remember, so I ran a search in my email box, it was shipped 1/31. I must have deleted it by accident.

Last scan in Vegas, so I should have it Friday. :)

Nice Zombot. Even nicer that you'll be getting the Bluebird soon. đź‘Ť

I hope my 20-for-1 Chevelle doesn't become as tumultuous as the 510 if I go for it. :nervous:

So I stopped by my local Walmart tonight looking for F case cars, and noticed that all of the Matchbox stuff was on clearance, including the mainline cars. :odd:

Haha, silence. The defficient pics are because of the lens I was using. I took those with the DSLR.

As for the car's color, yeah, I don't think there are more than maaaaybe 15 known in that color, asuming there are (and there should be, I mean, I found one) others aside from the 10, including mine, that are known. Other colors known for it are mustard yellow, brown, and I think there's a black one (exclusive Cipsa colors, ultra big bucks) and blue, green and red, all of them Spectrametallics like mine. Oddly, the mustard yellow is the most common color for the car with several found, even if the color itself is a Cipsa-exclusive color. In contrast, the rarest one is Spectra blue, which is a common color for US and HK redlines but way rare in Cipsas. Oh, and black which is like the holy grail.

I don't like them. Maybe when they start stocking those Buick police cars again(new, gray one)
@a6m5 OMFG THAT'S THE ONE I NEED!

Well... I'd like to buy it off you if you don't mind.
You must be joking.

No man, the pics look great. I was just making a joke about how long it's been since you've posted pics in this thread.

Now I'm confused. Was your color rare then, or more common? You may have to draw me a picture.
Yup. đź‘Ť

Thanks man! I don't know why I like those, but I do. I also have the Hot Ones, chase version.
tumultuous
What did he say?[/formerESLstudent]

You must be joking.

Hot wheels is serious business. I thought we all established that lol

But no, I wasn't joking. That's the E-Type I splooged about, that is one I don't have and need to be one step closer to completing the collection. Want something more valuable in exchange?
