Thank you for all the likes. :)
In a sense, they don't really mean anything - but they tell me you appreciated and enjoyed those pics - which of course means more than a lot. I see, too, that you have been reading back into the thread - yes - this thread can be a real time-waster - ask the Panda, who does nothing else but read this thread forwards, backwards and sideways.
Who is the Panda? Well, if you've read the thread you'll know.
I don't have the time that I used to have, to post as often as I used to post, (especially pics) but I still do drop in at least once or twice a week so that I can gnash my teeth in rage at what a6m5 is not collecting, or have a chuckle at Cano's comments, or check out Andy's latest pics.
And of course to look at what everybody else is nabbing off the pegs, and off the web.
There are so many collectors in here now that it's probably time to take a roll call. Just to make sure no one gets lost.

And now some tips about cleaning your cars.

If you grabbed a dirty-as-hell car off a fleamarket, you'll need a more or less wet -not dripping- cotton rag and some tootpicks. First retire the filth off the flat and easy to access areas. Be careful with the tampos, some of them WILL erase with just water, some 80's hot wheels come to mind. And also I don't have to tell you that paper decals, such as in Regular-era Lesney Matchboxes, will go to hell if you wipe them wet.

Then with the rag wrapped around the toothpick, carefully do the lines of the car and the difficult to reach corners. If it's a ragtop DON'T use a toothbrush, as you can damage the steering wheel or random details the car's interior might have. Just use the rag and be patient.

This also works for when your cars have sat for a long while and they have a inch-thick coat of dust... much like mine.

What the hell is dat?

C
alcium, Lime, Rust.

If one is storing their cars where they accumulate calcium, lime and rust, then that collection is in deep doodoo.

Good tips; so basically just dumping them in a bowl of soapy water isn't going to work then?

Picked up six more tonight; LaFerrari, 57' Gasser, Falken Supra, Red Taladega, Green 71 Road Runner and the RRRoadster, which reminds me of several Jaguars. All on the short card.

Burgundy*

and pics? :P
Stole this from stumanfu5 from HWC, pics with description:

The darker shade variations are such a great variation to find. They're probably one of the hardest ones to spot.

I've only noticed now the 3SP Fish'd & Chip'd I have has a smooth application of primer for some odd reason. Maybe it's a different primer used. See the front fender where the highlights hit the surface and notice the difference in texture.

Nice CRX!
I love the vette
I forgot to tell you...... I got that one for its wheels($1). :P

I'm going to make another attempt at slowing down. Wish me luck, Harry!

Nope, you got me stumped on that one. BMW 3 series maybe?
Looks like I'm going to catch you off-guard on that one. :D It will be little bit off the mainstream, but considering our taste in cars, I'm sure I'll make you proud!
That M2 Chrysler300c is so sweet! :D

I want it!
I'll be honest. I'm generally not a 300 fan....... But that M2 with vintage racing theme is pretty cool. Best part: $2.50(shipping was around $10 for five cars, breaking down to $2 per car)

These are well known right now, the lighter one is made in Thailand instead of Malaysia, and comes with those subtle differences. Same with the Falcon Racecar I found with the chrome 10SP, and there are many others.

After I slow down on growing my collection, I'd like to get into wheel-swaps & diorama. Great once in awhile, I browse eBay for diorama pieces, but I never buy anything.....
I have one of those 1:24 Jada Lopro cars that is like to build a permanent diorama for, as well as building a rig for my racing wheel.

Believe it or not that cool classics Fleetline was the first Fleetline that I've gotten. Never had one in my collection until now, wish it wasn't pink though.

I think I have one like that(mainline), does not interest me any though.

I think I've seen them at Target. I don't collect larger diecast, but they are neat to look at. 👍

I probably should slow down too. One minute I feel like buying every car in the store, the next minute I kinda lose interest, and want to sell all the cars I have.
Don't get on eBay, don't get on TTP, you'll be OK. Also don't go to Toys R Us or Walmart, right after they restocked.
