1/64 Model Collectors Thread

That was the first Civic I picked up, my other errors are a red C7 with a chip on the hood and a blue DBS with one black wheel while the other three are chrome. I still have the C7 carded but not the DBS. I think I might un card the civic.

Love that Civic, but it has some of the worst placed tampo jobs.

In a bit, not home atm. Just imagine the BMW's with backward windows. And the Boxters, one is missing the windshield and both have the tampos at the very bottom of the door, almost slid all the way off.

That is a great video - nice slice of collecting going on in there; pretty much everything we're doing except most of us are doing it on a much smaller scale.

Well went to Wal Mart Friday and got that slightly lighter variant of the Infiniti G37, along with a COPO Corvette and a RD-09 with it.



To my surprise it was still there where I left it. I usually don't go this far when I am low in cash but I am somehow obsessed with that Infiniti and I just couldn't resist it! (Yes my spending habits are bad) Lucky for me I got to do a brief comparison just to make sure it was the one I was looking for. I don't why but I get this "eerie" feeling when I look at this lighter variant compared to the other one, it somehow strikes me as "ghostly".

Usually when they paint the lights and grill on Hot Wheels, they almost always are off slightly (sometimes worse) but this Infiniti is actually perfectly proportioned for once, hardly any visible imperfections at all that I can see. It's not everyday I find castings this well done. Will upload high quality comparison shots later.

Who the hell finds a Super when they're going to buy a loaf of bread. Lucky.

In that case, I should buy more bread!

I went to Kmart to get a new watch battery, which I did, and looked at the cars to blow off a bit of steam. I got an Austin Taxi, Porsche 911 Cabrio, and a Conrail blue Shelby Mustang.





Not today's finds, but I got a Pierce Dash Fire Engine and a lifted Chevy truck from a dollar store.



Obviously, all are Matchboxes.

I don't know much about them AcceleRacers, but last I remember all there cars where fantasy cars. Seeing how the Infiniti and the Corvette aren't fantasy cars, I assume your referring to the RD-09?

...and today I managed to find the other four. Woo hoo for a complete (minor) range!

@R1600Turbo - Potentially bad news for you in regards to the AmiAmi preorder: Did you catch that IDx Freeflow & NISMO are being released month apart? That's two separate shipping to already (somewhat)high prices for the cars.

I have a car preordered from them due this month, so I was looking for another car to add to the order. That's when I noticed two IDx's are being released separately.
