Well guys, it´s been a while. I´ve been busy and haven´t managed to post anything soon... Anyway today after work i passed trough my local store to go shop and just couldn´t resist this beauties (That plus Brink at 9 Euros )
A Scion FR-S and a Lotus Évora GT4 and one of those boxes with 5 of them. This box featured servisse cars (A táxi, a medic rescue, a cop car, a fire dept. car and a preety radical School bus!)

Preety neat, eh?

The green is a táxi (Ballistik) The white one is a Toyota RSC, The cop car is the Rapid Transit, the Fire Dept. car is the Sir Ominous and finally the School bus is called Hyperliner (Wich remids me of a tricked up Hiace :P)

Finally here are the two beauties, the Évora GT4 and the Scion FR-S

That is all, for today, i will post more as soon as possible, perhaps tomorrow :). With this findings shopping just became way lot interesting, and i just didn´t brought more because i couldn´t

AGH that freaking Motormax SLR. There was a brief time in Mexico that Motormaxes were sold in Wal Mart, and that one was one of the absolutely hardest to find models. I never did. A cousin managed to find one, along with a rubber-tired Pinto, which was one of the "chase" cars of the series they brought.
Really? i walked into a Freds store, and it was sitting there in another set of highly detailed cars... 5 set, never knew motormax had detailed 1:64 cars like this, all cars have separate headlights and tail lights.

I painted the interior red since then, looks great.

@photonrider @Cano I really like how Harry characterized Hot Wheels as "collectibles", but I also sort of agree with Cano that Tomica, at least the mainlines, they can be loose on details to be considered credible replicas. Scale-wise though, Tomica seems to be lot more on the money compared to Hot Wheels, which aren't at all.

Today's cars.... Nothing to write home about.

Hot Wheels Ultra Hots 50's Chevy

Hot Wheels Hall of Fame AAR Cuda + '64 Pontiac GTO

Hot Wheels '68 Mercury Cougar, Hall of Fame Jaguar D Type, Real Riders '67 GTO, Firestone Dairy Delivery.

My Tomica Limited Vintage from Hawaii? I'm convinced that thing went back to Japan. It left Hawaii two nights ago, no scan has shown up on tracking since then. Not happy. :grumpy:
On my lunch stopped by the local Walmart and picked up the Auto World Premium '67 Mustang GT and the '66 Chevelle SS 396. Pics tonight.
Which color Chevelle did you get? I got blue!

Well I had a bit of fun today buying vehicles. :D Although I will admit I did overspend again. :ouch:

Went in Fred's today and got these cool cars here :):

Love the Mustang, couldn't resist the Lincoln and its pretty color and I finally caved in and got that Dragon Blaster to add to my collection of vehicles with animal bodies. Finally found that Porsche, although it was the only one they had unfortunately. Excluding the Porsche, I honestly have never seen any of these in these color variants and never they existed until today to be honest. :dunce:

Got this Supra for my dad :):

Fred's had a lot of interesting vehicles today I haven't seen before, more than I knew what to do with. :ouch: Needless to say I will be buying more if I go in again soon, but for now I think I better be careful. :scared:

Went to Wal Mart and got that '69 Mercury Cyclone I really wanted along with the chrome 10SP Ford Falcon!
image.jpg
That Drift King is also pretty cool. 👍 Been a fan of that one since it was first released. :) Started to get the mystery cars '69 Corvette and the Infiniti G37 but once I saw that 3 pack I decided to put them back since I knew I had already spent enough for today.

Currently taking new photos to fit those tiny rectangles better. I've also decided to spend a bit more time photographing some of the nicer cars I've left and forgotten all about for years. Here's one of them:

Cropping could be better, but it's for my facebook cover photo.

I used to have several of them castings when I was younger but I don't know what happened to them. :indiff: It's one of the few from my younger years I don't have anymore for unknown reasons. Luckily I got one from Kit Kringle a while back. 👍 Classic Packard is another good vehicle as well. 👍

I finally got the second Tomica Limited Vintage today. After it shipped from Japan > L.A. > Hawaii > ??? I really thought I may never see the damn thing.

Surprise: This Tomica is not a car!

Tomytec Tomicarama/Tomica Limited Vintage Idemitsu Gasoline Stand(Gas Station)

I thought it would make a nice backdrop to hot wheel/minicar pics, but the thing is tedious. I finally broke out the tiny coke bottle crates for this occasion, but passed on installing the side mirrors. That'd be way too much work!

I used to have a Tomica gas station, just like this one when I was a kid, but for the life of me, I could not find a pic of it. :indiff:

Edit: I just took couple of quick test shots with "Hot Wheels" car on it, thinking it would look ridiculous on the Tomica set.......... not bad at all, actually. 👍

Hmmmmmm....
I like it......... but you know, them wheels.
Cropping could be better
It bothers me.

:P

I hate the Youtube/Google profile background pic thing, too. They make it so hard to control how those images appear on the screen. 👎

That's a pretty rad garage set there, Shinji. Like the shot with the Golf & Civic, looks good. 👍
Thanks dude. 👍 Speaking of the set, I just listed that, along with the tank truck on eBay.

I originally wanted the "Shell" station, because that's the one I had as a kid. Shell set was way too much in the secondary market, and it was sold out new at both AmiAmi & Plamoya........ Guess what. You may want to check them out again, because they got some cool preorders for September....... and now are accepting backorders for the Shell gas station set.

It's a long shot me being able to sell my "Idemitsu" set on eBay, as they are expensive & I have to recover costs. If I do, I'd get the Shell set on backorder, if they sell out, I may preorder this.

Again, checkout AmiAmi Jarrod!

No, don't do this to me, must resist.

Edit: :meh: Aside from maybe this. (Would like to see a picture of the actual thing first) There isn't too much that jumps out at me. Patiently waiting for invoice for my first pre-order, hopefully not too much longer now. :D

I've been eyeing that one for weeks now. :D Two that I'm sure I'll be preordering are this & this. Come to think of it, it probably wouldn't do anything for you guys...... "National"(logo on those two trucks) was the domestic brand of the company more commonly known as "Panasonic", etc. on the western side of the world. Of course, for me, it has that throwback appeal. :D

Hope you post them! I´m impatient for those Fiesta Treasure Hunts :D

I will tomorrow. ;)

Which Cyclone? Thailand or Malaysia version? :dopey:

I don't know. I'll have to check when I get back.

New Fiesta TH is the white one, right? Do. Want.

Yes. I got 3. 1 for collecting, one for customizing, and maybe I might trade the other one. :D

Edit: @Sonygamer455 the Cyclone is the Malaysia version.

I couldn't wait to share my finds, so here's some pics for y'all.

And a close up of the Buick, in case you can't see it in my crappy pic

I wish I could have found a pack with better cars besides the Cyclone, but it was the only one I could find. :indiff:

1 Challenger for collecting, and 1 for customizing. :D (And in case you're wondering, the car on the bottom is an '05 Mustang)

And the cars everyone was excited about

My first treasure hunts from 2014. :D (I did find two fangsters a while ago, but I left them because they're so damn crappy.)

Good ish on the garage, @a6m5. I look forward to seeing your new photos!
"Good ish" is already back in the box, I'm already ready to trade her in. :D

NICE. Dart & Mustang, too. Well done. 👍

Again, well done. :D:tup:

No, not really. :P Funny though that TLV are releasing those individually rather than offering them as a set.
Either, or, type situation, I guess. Only thing that sucks is now I have to sell the three-wheeled truck that we both preordered, one that came in green or red. As great as AmiAmi has been, you can not cancel preorder with them, which sucks. Can't complain, their pricing rock. 👍

Which color did you order J? Red or green?

Wat? :odd: Um, I didn't pre-order one of those. All I've got on order currently are the 260Z, Beret 1600 & the Bluebird (Nissan service version). :embarrassed:
