Nice. đź‘Ť

No probs. Was hoping you had more to sell.

Ahem, I think it's time you scale back on the collection. :P
I've gone thru my collection couple of times now. I do want to get rid of more, but not quite ready to part with the rest yet. Way I keep loading up on the Tomicas, that day will come. Again. Eventually.

In the Wallmart I'm working at
That's about right. Everybody around here sucks with the Retro Entertainment..... or any premium line Hot Wheels.

Okay, so I have about 20 bucks to burn, so I had a few questions:

Are there a lot of hot wheels classic muscle cars, or am I going to have to shell out for different brands?
Same for supercars.
Are they 1 USD just about everywhere, or was that a Freds thing?

Tomica Limited Vintage-Neo Toyota Carina I ordered from eBay:

Another random TLV custom I found online. Same car:

Would it be too much to ask if you could hang onto my stuff?
How long? I do generally prefer to kick them out ASAP.

If you are looking for mainline cars, they should be around a buck at most retailers. If you want real riders(rubber tires), they are generally around $3~$4, all the way up to $100 or more online.

If you are just shopping for mainline muscle cars, there is a great seller on TTP you should check out. 40 cents a car, $4.25 shipping for the first car, then 50 cents additional. What's not to like. :P

Thanks, but I'm 16, no credit card for online purchases :P.

This is my most expensive purchase for a single Hotwheels car.

P3010595 by commodoreben, on Flickr

It was around $250 shipped. Thanks again for it Jason, I hope the cash helped you out. My most expensive model is a 1:18th Bugatti Veyron SS World Record edition. That car was just over $400, but my most expensive single purchase for a toy or model goes to the Lego Ultimate Collectors Series Millennium Falcon. That one cost me $750 on sale when it was new.

I think my most expensive single car purchase I made was around $7 I think. It was a Retro Entertainment car, maybe the Stroker Ace Thunderbird.

I get it. One's on the right, one's on the left?

Seriously though, you covered up the difference again, didn't you?

Nope, it's clearly visible.

Edit: Those arguing about Hot Wheels scale, I forgot to mention that they are also scaled to a specific size so that they fit on the orange track.

I'm gonna have to go with rim color: orange vs. gold/yellow.

Edit: By the way, nice 370. đź‘Ť

and like I said, I had cash on hand that was begging to be spent. :P

Geez if you wanted to get rid of $70 that quick, you could have given it to me instead. :P

Also, buying cars because of their tail lights is possibly the strangest thing I've heard in this thread, well aside from Cano threatening to pee on someone's head that one time. Still that TLV Carina is cool, can't say I've ever seen one before. Good stuff. đź‘Ť

I am so sick of that guy always one-upping everyone........

Taillight thing is little weird. Don't say I didn't warn you, because I did! :P

Which Carina did you like? That 70's one with the cool taillights, or the 80's one?

The cool taillights one, definitely.đź‘Ť Just checking out some images of the 1600 GT. Cool looking car.

Here it is:

Bought it for $400 off someone who pulled it from a case, then sold it a few years later when I was moving for $950. I actually sold off my entire variation collection for several thousand dollars. Most I don't miss, but there are a couple. It isn't hard to guess which models I miss. Here are some of those I sold:

So, was the FTE version extremely limited or something? I have very little to no knowledge on variants & errors.

Wasn't there one? I don't recall his name, but he was in here briefly(considering) with rare prototypes or something.

Which one!? :D

Well, I don't know about competing...... Like I said on the last page, I do have an fair idea of where my collection is..... Like Cano calls them, supermarket trash, or something like that. That's the range of cars I like though, mostly, and off the top of my head, I couldn't tell you one car I want costing in hundreds. That's a good thing(rather invest it in a German handgun). :D

As for this variation, I have to know. Buying it high($400) & more than doubling it is intriguing. :embarrassed:

Do they have like five total, with possibly a variation of the newer Skyline(probably late '83) making it the sixth?

I do like all of them, but not enough to come up with the funds. :P Early '83 Skyline was the absolutely must-have, and I did order my second favorite, which is the "Coca Cola" Bluebird. I made a mistake of ordering one on Amazon to save a few bucks off the Japan Booster price. While I fully expect it to take no more than maybe around couple of weeks in transit, they have no tracking, and Amazon page tells me to expect it in Mid-August. Lesson learned.

My last Japan Booster order, I did google the link from Lamley to place the order. đź‘Ť

I did not realize this. Makes sense!

The Skyline Super Silhouettes.

Not me, man. Never. :D

Ben lives! I forgot all about that Datsun. Dual-Auto RLC Bluebird actually makes #2. I think it was $77 shipped.

Im having to save money now due to buying a block of land to build a house on and lately most of my spare cash has been going towards Lego. The shops near my house have had nothing new in Hotwheels for a few weeks now.

So nice to buy a plot of land and build your house on. Remember to build a TOYS only storage room. lolx.
