Seriously... this seller is Japanese?

hahaha, it's a guy that sells used stuff at a flea market I go to each week over here in Mexico city. That's the only time he's had cars for sale. He told me a young guy brought them to him to see "if he could get something from them". That is, he gave them to him, so he priced them to sell. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I also bought these form him that day, all of them Japan-made, all of them mint, all of them for 80 cents each:

Same bike as before, but in police livery... note that the wheels are metal, in both bikes:

Extremely extremely hard to find with the little guy still in there:

Dynapac with all-metal rollers (:

And lastly this Nissan Cabal which I didn't bought with the same guy, but did buy that same day off other guy in the same flea market for 80 cents, too. Not mint but in good shape, and still with the telescopic arm complete:

The bikes are nice. Steam roller still able to find.

Yes, I know it's quite expensive as it is the real, made-in-Japan deal. In fact I only own a single made-in-China, late-model Tomica, and it's the exac same car with an aniversary something gold tampo on the roof that I bought like 10 years ago off E-Bay for a buck and change, shipped. All other tomicas I have are vintage, Japan-made cars, including the brown truck I posted above. It isn't a 90s reissue, it's also the real 70s-80s-deal (:

Here, have another one that also cost me 80 cents, bought it with the same guy I bought the Skyline. Also Japan-made... bozosoku bike, mang!

Mint as all heck, too.
Ah yes, let's not forget the bikes.. It's the #42 Honda CB750F of 1982-2004! :D

It's rare to find toys that were made in the native country.

Well, Tomica here was available officialy only in the Japan-made era, and they were cheap alternatives to Hot Wheels and Matchbox, which were more expensive toy cars. Tomica retired from the mexican market in about the late 80s. So all of the Tomica cars you find over here are from the Japan-made era. You can find new Tomicas with a few independent importers, but they are an arm and a leg for the dismal quality of Tomicas of today.

I need to own at least one MIJ tomica! Lolx

Yup. Like the '79 Esprit that has pop-up headlamps.. And the Unimog that has a spare tyre!

Ah, I have both of those, but they are in very, very bad shape. The Lotus specially. Of course, everything can be brought back to life with a bit of tlc...

Doesn't take much (:

I have 3 Japanese models.. Two Cities, and an ultra-rare '96 Battery Operated Tomica Honda CR-V.. :sly:

I must have like 30 Japan-made cars. I need to up that number.

Photos please..Lolx I avoid buying battery operated cars Because over time it will fail...
But I never use my B/O model.. I just put it inside the box and wrap it with Cling-Wrap.

I have the pictures of only two.. The City and the Z.

This was posted several posts ago..

P.S- I mainly collect late-90s to early '10s cars.. Just rebuilding my childhood :D

Yeah, same here. But I do open some to play around and photo talking. Now we can buy some of the memories back. Lolx.

That Super Van with the A-Team style red stripe is quite difficult to find 👍
Best condition of that lot too, haha.

But this bunch of 30 or so that are somewhere has much better condition cars. And a whole bunch of 1970's Hot Wheels military vehicles.

Damn having a messy room...

I have somewhere about 30 old (similar vintage to these) Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. But I can't for the life of me think of where they are.

Here's the only 'old' ones I have that I can find.

Made in France. Nice. I have one made in Italy but think it's a 1: 32 scale.
