damn i'm screwed by .2%,thats real nice :indiff:

You're absolutely 200% sure you've won every single race? And completed every single mission? Maybe you just miss one race at a manufacturer's cup. Check that first again, hopefully you've missed a race, or saw a bronze for a gold.. But to be screwed by 0.2%... That's horrible.

But the only special thing you get is the black F1 car, for the rest nothing. That F1 car is just the same as the other one, which you win at the Nurburgring 24h.

Hopefully you've missed a race, good luck.;)

i've checked so many times i only manage to find one bronze. i went from 99.6% to 99.8%. I've done the mission's in ordered but not all. Every manuefacture race i triple checked, there is no sign of a bronze. i've also checked my diary i found only one thing fishy. i've done a GT all star race n came 3rd in the 3rd race. it said that in my diary, i move down a couple of days n years. theres no sign of that race being redone. i've never got a gold after i beat GT All Stars. i finish every event race n it left me with 99.6% i go check once again i found one bronze race but it wasn't Gt all stars. For some weird reason that Gt all stars race was gold n i never came back to finish it  . I know the Black Formula ain't nothing but the 100% completion matters to me. do any of ya think is a glitch ? i can get pictures of my diary n the race

you should redo that race just to be sure. Maybe it will count it this time through! It's only about seven laps, what harm could it do?

I've got just three endurance races between me and 100% for GT4 and I have zero b-spec points. I just picked up the Model T and Dome Zero in the last couple of days too. Sadly after the first super test with the civic on motegi ( I don't like the track or the stupid front wheel drive car) I started to lose some of the feeling in my tip left thumb, like it was slammed in a door, because I only have a dualshock2. I'll probably get carpal tunnel syndrome in my right wrsit pretty soon, too, once I do my last two 24 hour races on a-spec. Yes I do realize that I am an idiot, but I contracted Granturismo-itis about seven years ago, and for some reason I seem to have a grudge against b-spec mode.

Don't worry, I'm sure the feeling in my thumb will come back soon. 👍

hehe, I was at 100% at March the 20th. I've used 11 days, in this periode I only sleeped 7 times, together 47 hours out of 264 possible... B-spec - 0 kilometres... I maybe thought I was upset hmm hehe

Well I'm only around 40%, but I just spent a good bit of time on 34 missions in the Mission Hall. I think things should be smoothe sailing from here on out. I only get 1 - 2 hours/ day in usually, but I figure a couple of weeks and I'll be there.

 How do you do that? Only 48 golds, no silvers, no bronzes... But 100% with only A-spec. Without having all licences??? Think you made a typo with your licence medals.. 💡

I think he transfered saves from GT3, which you dont have to do the Domastic B and A.

Sorry, i was gonna specify this, but I did transfer the GT3 data so I only did IB, IA, and S licenses. I felt like it would be a waste of time to gold the other two because the prize cars aren't really that good, I think.

You should get all golds on A if you want another prize car. It's the only way to get it. The car is like the Skyline Pace car, except without the stroke lights and what not.

Is it really worth it when I already have the one with the lights?
I like skylines a lot, but I'm kinda against GT4 having so many versions.

I guess not, but it makes the game feel more complete. I mean, if you're gonna play this game against other people, it's kind of cool to show them the depth of cars in the game. Golding all of A isn't that hard either (Especially when you press R3 during the test, shows you the racing line and everything)
The call is totally up to you, I thought I'd add something for you to think about.

Yeah, forgot that. We Europeans could only transfer 100,000 Cr from our GT3 saves, the A and B licenses must be transferred from GT4/P. Since I haven't got GT4/P, I only got 100,000 Cr.

But those licence results from GT3 aren't added to your GT4 test results then? because if you transfer them, GT4 should mention them imho.:)

Sign me up.
100% complete.
73 gold, 7 silver license passes.
25,300 A spec and 7000 B spec points.
Mission 34 was my final mission. That took approx 8.75 hours from my first attempt to passing.

Finally made it to 100% - all Golds in all races with a 97.6 winning percentage. I lost a few by underestimating the competition and not modding my car enough. I'm at 1700 days and bought GT4 about a few weeks after it was released. I can only run a few races a night due to time constraints.

My last stumbling block was that damned final Mission. The McClaren Mercedes at the Nurb. I have to thank someone who had a video of his few cheats. The guy that drove in that video was so good it was hard to imagine. I never even noticed the sections he was using to wall slide. He finished first by about six effing seconds. Jeez. I was able to wall slide in two sections and that was enough to win the Mission by about a half a second. I tried one other section he slid into a few times, but I couldn't manage it and kept getting time penalties. His grass cutting technique was so awesome. I raced that Mission about 60 times and I didn't believe I was ever going to beat it. I got better for sure, but I was still about seven seconds behind the lead car in my best all pavement run ever without screwing up or bumping a car. I hated waiting for my NTSC version to count down from 123 seconds or whatever it is. I'd work at my computer while the clock was ticking down. Without that guy's video I would never have figured it out. I thought I was pretty good at racing, but I'm not smart at all.

I normally use Manual Transmission for all my racing but for that Mission I had to use Automatic to keep the tires from sliding and greater consistency in times. What a bringdown. I was humbled.

I did every race under four hours using A-spec and some longer ones using combined A-spec and B-spec. I did the Fuji and the Formula races in A-spec.

I have to get about ten more Gold licenses to get them all and I'll have to resort to the tips page to do it. The Mini race at Tsukuba has me baffled. Damn.

I recommend anyone that has problems with snow or dirt to buy the Mitsubishi Super Rally Car. That has to be the ultimate off-road vehicle.

I really enjoyed using this Forum to play GT4 and listening to all the tips and comments. Great fun.

I use the standard Sony Dual Shock Controller and find it good for the most part except for feathering the throttle. Someone said they could half-throttle the button, but I was never able to achieve that control.

I'm going to try to start increasing my B-spec points from 4900 or so using less powerful cars and more courses. My B-spec drivers seem to be very good but I just want to increase points. I'm also going to try to find some time for fast record runs to see what I can do. I don't have much time for that since it can take hours to get a car set up properly for different courses.

I can now sit back and enjoy testing all the cars I've won and bought (250 vehicles) and relax without feeling the pressure to get completion. I'm ready for GT5. Shame I'll have to buy a new Playstation III since my current PS2 is in very good condition.

Kudos to all you ultimate racers out there. I'm really amazed that you guys find all the tricks, notice all the little details and make all those spreadsheet charts. Simply amazing.

You probably already know this, but on the Mini test, never go down to first and stay in third on the last turn. I had to resort to manual for the first time EVER when I went back to gold this. It's very easy if you're new to manual, like me, because you downshift only once. If you haven't gotten that gold yet, did you get the A license test with the Skyline at Trial Mountain? The only way I could gold that was to use manual and NEVER downshift.

Done! Joined the 100% club :) I had done the hard parts before, so it was just about b-speccing the 24h races and finally doing the corvette races that I had saved for last. Now that I look back, the hardest parts for me was definately most of the rally events, not so much missions even though some of those are real pain too. It took me ages to learn how to handle the rally cars, and that was supposed to be my special strength, having played all WRC games, Richard Burns Rally and others.

I have about 30 golds in license tests, rest are silvers. Maybe I'll do something about that later, but now it's time for some more hotlapping at the 'Ring and to collect more A-spec points.

Congrats on joining the club. 👍 I would guess that the 6 sec vs. 0.5 second difference you noted is the PAL/NTSC difference -- the PAL people get 8 extra seconds. (And yes, us NTSC people are bitter about it!) Check to see if the video had a 115 or 123 second countdown...

There, done! 👍

Finally got 100% today. My final race was the last race in some American event I for some reason forgot to do.. I guess I will backup this save and begin a new one as soon as I feel like it.. Oh well..

Cheers!

Hey, I should just be able to run the demo Mini run and copy it move for move. It didn't work for me for some reason. Yes, I was able to beat the Skyline License test after a dozen or so tries. It wasn't much different from the license test in GT3. True, the higher the gear, the higher the speed. I've always had a tendency to use a lower gear instead of staying in a higher gear. Not good. Most times near lugging an engine with torque is better for keeping the higher speed.

Some of the License tests I haven't gotten Gold so far is R92C at Sarthe, Viper at El Capitan, Mini at Tsukuba, Alfa at Amalfi, Skyline at Fuji, Starion at Canyon (way off), Mercedes at Trial Mountain. I have Silvers, but that's crap. I usually never bother trying for Golds in the License tests since I find it a waste of my time once I get the License and can easily win all the main races by huge margins. I honestly don't think those License tests teach you the driving skills you need to win races. A fast, good handling car will win races, period. A Mini at Tsukuba has nothing to do with driving an LMP car at Sarthe or Suzuka. Funny thing, the Mercedes at Nurb only taught me how to cheat better. Why should I take two hours to win a Gold License with a Mini and yet win the Formula races with my eyes closed? With an F1 set up properly, you can't even flat spin it at top speed around curves. It just sticks. Don't need driving skills, just set-up skills.
