Outstanding achievement, RVDNuT374. You have accomplished the equivalent of climbing Mt. Everest. The view from the top is superb, and the quiet knowledge that you did it, step by patient step, will improve your taste for life and all the accomplishments still before you.

Respectfully yours,
Dotini

Superb Job RVDNuT374!!!👍

The max is one amazing achievement!

May we ask what were the last few races?

Thanks to all the compliments everybody! :) My last few races to hit max were in order: Crossfires, Saleens (I've pushed better handling shopping carts), Lotus Classics, Triumphs, and the Roadster 4 Hour Enduro.

 Super Congratulations on your achievement for max points, and Welcome as well, RVDNuT374

Its a long hard road, from which to Max points you did not wander.
Fortunately, as you so graciously pointed out, there is a wealth of help and support to negotiate the course from those who have gone before us.

Personally, I consider having to run the Roadster Enduro last to reach the final, an added achievment. You certainly left one of the highest hurdles for the end.

Thanks again everyone! :) The Roadster Enduro took me 2 full attempts to complete. However, I ran up to the AI's first pitstops several times to fine tune the ballast balance for Dotini's great setup in order to get even tire wear front to back. My first full attempt ended in disaster as the 1800RS spun me out with only 1 pitstop and 15 laps to go. :grumpy: Despite my best efforts which included skipping the final stop and using up my remaining nitrous, I could not hold him off and finished second. The second attempt ended much better as I finished ahead of the 1800RS by about 0.700 seconds. 👍

Well, it looks like the saga is at an end.

If only the pictures were a little more glamorous and a little less covered with the black bars. :ouch:

I've had an immensely enjoyable experience in pursuing A-Spec points, and it feels great to have collected them all. I have many people to thank: Smallhorses, whose offbeat and often stock choices for races and striving for clean runs inspired me to imitate him and do many similar races; Open Addict, who was always there to provide help and encouragement; jdw, whose guide with AI statistics was very useful; Wild Cobra Z28, whose list of A-Spec values was an absolutely incredible and invaluable resource; and all of the veteran members of our 200-point community, including nige, SuperCobraJet, Moloch_horridus, route_66, slotcarrod, Fizio, ANK, Car-less, Han_the_Dragon, bttlefed, Vash666, CRXnut, SirBerra, alhajoth, jbrennen, RJV, among others, who each provided information that I integrated into my race strategies and choices, as well as enormously entertaining reading material, which helped to spur me on to my pursuit of points. Dotini, GTsail290, and imtheleprechaun were always helpful and congratulatory and provided not only good information but also enjoyable reading, although by the time they began, I had already garnered all but a few points. Cheers to you all, even if you've left the forum long ago.

Finally, I have to single out AMG. for a very special thanks, because without your efforts to obtain this subforum as well as all of the race reports and encouragement that you provided, I never even would have thought of pursuing A-Spec points. The fabulous organization that you helped to maintain allowed me easy wins when I was just beginning, which in turn gave me the confidence that I needed in order to persevere with the difficult races. Again, thank you immensely. 👍:)

This is only one part of the saga, I am sure you can think of more things to do with the game. ;)

Gigantic CONGRATS, we all knew you would get there, eventually. (finally kick your sister off :))
 for the mention, but us old and new vetrans of the hunt should always try to help a fellow dedicated member in the pursuit of A-spec points.

Once again CONGRATS and does it feel nice?

It does, but I don't feel a huge sense of relief or achievement, probably because 111813 has seemed like such a foregone conclusion for so long.

It's odd to consider that even though I've reached this mark nearly five and a half years after the game's release, I probably still won't be the last to do so. Dotini and GTsail both will probably get there at some point. Perhaps one of them can wait until after GT5 is released, just for the amusement. :D

That could be five years away for all we know :), It would be good to get some more fresh meat in the big club though.

Austin that is fantastic news, good on you brother. And thanks for all the help you've given the gtp community along the way. I must ask: which race was the last one, the one that got you to the magic number?

EDIT: Okay, I found it in the next tab I had open.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS from me Austin343!👍

Well done!

I must thank you in return for all your valuable help as well. I continue to marvel at your driving skills as evidenced by your video postings in the License Tests, and first place showings in the on-line races. And I heartily concur with your mention of all the other GIANTS that have come before us:tup: Without everyone's help, the road would be nowhere near as much fun and enjoyable.:)

Respectfully,
GTsail

Congratulations to Austin!👍👍👍

Your videos have been of enormous assistance to myself and I'm sure many others. I'm firmly of the belief that the self-confidence inspired by achieving the maximum score in this game will resonate with you for life and enable many other excellent achievements.

Respectfully,
Dotini

Congrats with your promotion to the Max group! Great achievement. Triple 2 has been updated. And in response to your kind words Gosh you're making me :embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed:

;)

Great stuff Austin, I think you have been my main inspiration in the (still ongoing for me) quest for maximum A-Spec points. Your videos are great to watch and your knowledge is invaluable, many congratulations.

:)

 👍 BIG BIG CONGRATS and WELCOME to the max point club Austin 👍

Perhaps there is one good thing in the seemingly infinite delay of GT5s release. You have to find some other game or games in an attempt to fill the void. Many of the more recent inductees to the 100,000 or max point club may not have made it, had GT5 been released already. Well maybe it just helps to think that anyway.

For those who havn't yet collected all those Aspec points in GT4, drive on.

BTW, ditto what Dotini said. He sure has a way with words.

Bravo Austin, you prooved that there is still somebody fighting
for good reasons!
I just looked at your IA15 on YouTube, hot stuff!
Who's next?
Salut,

phil

If I did this right can I be a qualified member of the 100,000 A-spec point club??

100,000.jpg

It may please Smallhorses to see my B-spec miles.

My remaining quests are in the 24 hour endurance races, the F-1 extreme races (3000 points), and any races requiring car wear, and the dreaded Miata 4 hour blocking marathon.

So triple 2 updated but then I saw you had already made it to the list in Dec 2009, or had you forgotten? (post 619). Not that it matters as you've now also included the screenshot.
