Aww that's disappointing. I ask for a lighter car and what do I get? Two more seats. Great.

This looks like a good home for these pics.

Absolutely beautiful photography. You wouldn't happen to know if these are available in 1920x1200? I'd like to use them as a wallpaper.

I've got the shots (in the respective order) at 1024, 750 and 1000 pixels. They're all by professional photographers, who pretty much never give out high resolution work. You can contact them yourself, but I think it's rather rude to ask someone for a product of their profession for free.

I bet that thing is an autocross monster. And I bet it weighs well over 100 pounds more than a stock car.

I've booked a Lotus Exige driving experience at Silverstone, i'll fill the camera with photo's and post the good one's:tup:

It's in november so i'm expecting rain and high winds, should be fun:D

The picture's on this thread are outstanding, keep 'em coming

If looking through this thread tells me anything, its that the Lotus exige (and its variations for which only makes it seem to make the car even more special) is one of the best looking cars ever made. Quite a statement that actually, its not exactly a spur of the moment thing either, over time I have realised the exige must be one of the most photogenic cars around.

It's true. The Elise S1 is going down in timelessness very shortly, but the current Exige is still absolutely spectacular. It's got form that the S2 Elise ruins with detail and crease. Up front, the no-fuss splitter and slits are perfect and uncluttered like the Elise, and out back, although I really like the little outlets by the tails on the Elise, the Exige's fastback is just such a nice balance to the planted front.

I totally forgot to post my own Lotus photos in this thread.

What's the difference between the cars with the Yokohama AD07 tires (like the red and black ones above) and the cars with the A048 R-compound tires? Are those tires optional or something? It was just recently I realized that some cars came with the lesser AD07s, as I always thought they only wore A048s.

Basically Elise with LSS (the Sport package) get the split 7-spoke wheels and 48s, while regular and touring get the 8-spokers with the AD07s. However there are little exceptions like the black car up there gets AD07 on LSS wheels because I don't think it has the sport pack, but the wheels have been included in the 60th Anniversary trim. I'm not sure what happens when you order both sport and touring packages in terms of what rubber they stick on the car for you though. It's all a little complicated and there are exceptions all over the place. All Exiges get 48s though.

Then you've got plenty of people who stick on the lesser tire because it's got a part number at the dealership. Who knows...

Plus the AD07 might actually last a summer. But overall I'd imagine a company like Lotus would give you whatever combination you wanted.

"Would you like the sticky tires or the really sticky tires, sir?"
"I'll take the sticky ones."
"And how about a cup holder?"
"Well, this will be my daily driver..."

Photo's of my recent Lotus experience 👍

This car just sold for 98,000$US. Quite possibly the steal of the century.

Same seller was also off-loading another championship Elise:
