On the OP video, I like everything that Greenawalt said except the part where he says he doesn't expect everyone to have hundreds of cars in their garage, he expects people to have 5 or 10 cars. Really? I'm not going to be happy with 5 or 10 cars. Who here honestly would be happy spending $60 to $89 (what I already paid, with tax) for a video game with over 500 cars in it and only have 5 or 10 in their garage?
Greenawalt's thought process here may be the reason Forza 3 cars cost so much in relation to how long it took to save up for them. It takes over a year of 40 hour a week racing to buy every car. To mod a car enough to be competitive on leaderboards, it usually takes several times the original cost of the car.
If you say "real life cars are expensive", I say this isn't real life, it's a video game. I bought it to drive all the cars in all the races, not to be limited to 5 or 10 cars. In real life most people can't do any of this stuff. That's why we buy the games.
I'm sure there is a "Free Run" mode where you can drive every car in the game, and if you want to get competitive make the investment and be competitive. I personally like the idea of it being time-consuming to get all the cars...it adds replay value and separates the men from the boys.
