Preparing to test it now. Thanks krenkme and praiano for all your support! Thanks DB and everyone for allowing my car into the shootout. 👍👍
It is a MG TF160 and I did send it to praiano and krenkme before work got in the way and I was not able to publish the tune.
@Detoxification
Again not to take anything away from my garage mates fine tune, but could you please re-visit your results for tris_73's tune?
I find it highly unusual that his tune is 2 seconds faster than all the others, especially considering how tightly grouped you have the rest of the times.
Not saying your listed time is wrong but would like some sort of explanation as to why his tune is so much faster for you vs all the other quite similar cars.
Thanks for your efforts testing and hope we see more from you in the future.👍👍
Note: looking at your results I'm wondering if you possibly had SRF on by accident when testing both tris_73's and praiano63's times as they both seem to fall outside the expected range compared to your other times. Just a thought.

MGF or the TR160?Good work Despy. I have an MGF tune also im going to put it on share if anyone fancies a blast. I decided to go for the MX5 as the MG wasnt giving the laptime.
Hmm I have you as one of the fastest cars and just missing my selection as best S2000...Ok not doing as good as I have hoped. For all the testers please read my comments for the car in my garage as this will improve your times considerably. If the tires go red you have failed, if it makes a slightly loud squeak sound while turning you have failed, if you hit the breaks too late causing you to go the smallest inch of your racing line you have failed. Lol yes it is really difficult to drive, but just break slightly before where you think you should or if you have driving line on just before it goes red and slow down to a point that is good and let go of everything and let the car coast around the apex. Once you are slightly straight apply the gas lightly than hard once you guarantee you can make the rest of the turn. Close as possible to the edge of the corners even to the point of touching them will be the fastest line. These tips will work with everyone's car as well the key is to make sure you have planed your next move before you enter the corner so you don't have to break more once you start making the turn.

I don't get half the comments on my car. Praiano finds it difficult, Desperado finds it boring...
What the heck? Does it change between drivers or something?
Driving styles and preferences in how a car handles. Compared to the other S2000s I had tried to that point in testing it was much easier to drive fast but it still required fairly close attention to driving lines and braking zones compared to say the Miatas. While I could drive it very fast for me, the fact that I couldn't just chuck it about the track and play with it some meant there wasn't much fun factor. For me it seemed set up to one thing only and that was lay down the fastest possible lap and as long as that's all you wanted to do it was an good car. That singlemindedness though didn't equate to a "fun" car but just a very very good tool when driven correctly.I don't get half the comments on my car. Praiano finds it difficult, Desperado finds it boring...

Lol that's the fun of this competition and having multiple drivers at different skill levels test it out. My car I made as best as it can be, but requires perfect driving to land blistering fast times. Drivers who have that little bit of finesse and consistency will land quick times while drivers who are harder on brakes and gas will land alright times or bad times. You just got to hope that the testers all drive the same way as you do to average out quick times.
Never having entered a tuning contest before that was my biggest fear, that others would not drive the car the way I do and it would be a complete slug...lol. I know a lot of guys like to throw a car around a lot, and to some extent that is the character of the S2000 and if you tune that out, it's can be an understeering pig, but my driving style is to be as smooth and concise as I can, hit the apex's, brake on mark, keep the rear end in check etc...aka boring...lol.
I'm very happy with my results so far, and happy to be in the mix no matter where I end up. It's been a good learning experience for sure, one I look forward to again.
Rotary Junkie's S2000- 1:26.319
It's like an Amuse S2000 R1, only better. Two words best describe this car. Difficult, and epic. Topping the leaderboard on the first lap out makes it epically fast, nearly killing me along the way makes it epically tricky and the fact that I'm still smiling from that drive means it's epic fun. It isn't perfect, the brakes make it very snappy and eager to turn into a corner and there is some understeer when you get your line really wrong. Overall though, I have to say that this already got a spot as my driver's choice. Good job now tell me the secret behind that hyper overkill of rear camber.
One problem, VTiRoj could you free up a space for me please, last time I tried to send you a FR you were full.
Well I just found a 4wd convertible in the game.
Unfortunately it wouldn't have qualified for this shootout as it is a 2+2 seater. Also fails since its a concept.
Of course the 456PP stock with no oil change/engine rebuild at 243km would have made it unlikely to fit 450PP and be competitive anyways!
You can expect to see a tune of it posted up in the next few days though as I find it intriguing.
Oh did I forget to mention that it's a sports car/SUV/truck and qualifies for the compact car seasonal!
That's the one krenkme.
Just in case anyone's interested the only way you can get it to 450PP using the shootout limits on ballast and power limiter is to not do an oil change/engine rebuild. Changing oil raises PP to 465 and the limits for the shootout only bring it down to around 455.
That being said it is a complete terror on the compact car seasonal.
