How was the race guys? Just pretty curious. Also sorry for asking so late, on the 15th I was on a flight to America and have been busy doing stuff.
 
It didn't happen. It was Mr. S, PAWEL17, and I, which isn't enough to really have a race, so we decided to postpone it.
 
I'll start the lobby in 1.5 hours - not sure if we can gather enough people shortly before christmas but it's worth a try. :)
 
Mr. S decided agianst a race tonight as he knew a lot of us would be busy with Christmas and whatnot, and wouldn't be able to be there. There were 3 of us tonight, not enough to race though. We will be back next year.

I really wish I could race with you guys. Maybe if I see a sweet deal on the PS3 version I'll pick it up just for these occasions. :cheers:
 
You could, on the other hand, pay for the upgrades my computer would need in order to run the game! :P
 
Not currently while university is in session because I have to find the right day of the week to make it work, and even then it's tough.
 
Id like to race with you guys, but Im on PC.. Should be able to pick up a copy for the ps3 though after Christmas. Ill post back when I do.

Yesterday I'd swap (Shift 2 + Fallout 3 + Fallout NewVegas + Uncharted 1) for F1 2011 :D So I'm in 👍

Currently fighting with G27 wheel settings to make this game drivable, cause at this point it isn't :sly: But i had only one hour after work and it was late so ill start my F1 career after Xmas.

Ill be in some F1 GTPlanet championships too, and small online races and practice sessions. 3x 👍
 
MY online persona is Jmanespresso,for GFWL, XboxLive, and PSN. I think its the same for Steam too, but im not 100% sure.




For Setting up the G27 for F12011, since you cant adjust the wheels rotation from 900deg, use Steering Sensitivity in the in game settings to get to more of a formula one steering rack.For example, i run from 200-280deg on,y fanatec wheels, depending on my mood.

and then from there, its personal preference. I suggest for the FFB:

Enviro-10-20%
FFB-100%
Wheel Weight-100%

Enviro adds a LOT of vibration for my wheels, so i turn it wayyy down, and still the overall FFB is some of the strongest out there.
 
I run similar settings with my G27. In the Logitech setup I think I have rotation at 265deg right now, with overall effects at 107%, all others 0%. It's a slightly tighter rotation than the on-screen visuals, but it works best for me for now. I run brake saturation at 25%, and brake dead zone at 3% (to enable slip stream), all else 0%.

I turn environment off in force feedback. It's too loud in my apartment, and it doesn't feel natural to me anyway. You are right, it is very strong as well. Feedback is at 80%, wheel weight at 50%. Drives very smooth for me at the moment.
 
We won't try to race this week, most people are either on vacation or with their families anyway. :)
 
People would be too drunk to drive, and I'm not saying anything about racing in a first place :)
 
Is it too late to sign up? Akmuq can vouch that I'm a mere mortal in GT5 anyway haven't raced online in f1 2011 yet cause lobbies are to messy, well were on 2010.

I'll take Sauber or Williams not to bothered there.. Just need to practice with abs and tcs off now :lol:
