2.05 will be out on Feb. 15 and 16th!

Guys it's valentines Dlc. Chocolate and heart paint chips are $1 each. Kaz will change the intro to Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You.

It's like patching a leaky boat. One drip disappears and them another one springs up. Lol.

Kind of the way it is with software these days. If you correct the coding for something that isn't working, that new coding could cause something else to go haywire.

I'd rather have a leaky boat being patched up than a leaky boat left to rot with all the other "leaky boats" out there.

👍

All I expect from this update is a fix for the rewards/experience glitch in online rooms. Maybe a couple other minor things like the oil change guy.

2.05 already? Wow! I hope is not too heavy.

I'm probably in the wrong thread, but I'll post this here anyway. I'm so happy that I could finally update my GT5. I've been stuck with v1.00 since release date until today. It took me from 10pm yesterday until 6am of today to complete all the updates. What can I say, GT5 is alive for me again!

Because I've jumped from 1.00 to 2.04, instead of a gradual change like the rest of you, I can feel that this game is a completely different thing. Everything feels so different. The sound, loading times, menu interface, options and most of all the physics.

I don't know if it's me affected by some sort of placebo effect, but the cars feel much more responsive than ever. I'm for once only using only comfort softs and I don't feel like driving on ice anymore. I'm even oversteering in FF cars! I'm so glad that they also improved the feel on the DS3, I can even feel it has slight dead zone. I don't even want to tune cars anymore, since they feel so perfect now.

I don't know if it's because of these improved physics, but the game is much more easier now, but nevertheless, more enjoyable than ever. It was odd that the Top Gear challenges where incredibly easier now. I managed to do the Samba Bus challenge at the first try, even overtaking everyone before the first lap. The Lotus challange only took me two tries, and not because of not being able to overtake them, but because of getting off the track once.

The only donw side is that I had to get rid of my old save file, so I'm starting all over for the second time this year. But so far I am amazed with this game again. I'm curious to see what 2.05 brings. I haven't played online yet, so I haven't experienced those glitches that everyone talks about. Plus, I don't have more than a Honda Integra and of course, my well deserved Toyota 86 GT.

:)

Thanks for the point of view. As you mentioned, I experienced the changes in GT5 gradually but I have always wondered how 1.0 vs 2.xx would match up for someone who never experienced anything in between. 👍

I will tell you in few words: YOU ARE DAMN RIGHT.

GT5 1.00 and 2.00+ are like **** and chocolate. Color is similar, but they are completelly different.

The thing is: the physics are so good now that you act with your feelings and instinct, even on DS3... everything feels so natural! Stock cars are amazing to drive when they are good, you can oversteer with FF cars, during braking, etc... you can play A LOT more with weight transfer... And the car will make you pay the price for not being smooth or handling the weight in a bad way, it'll understeer if you plan your turn badly... the grass and places where you lose traction are really scary now...

Yes but aren't they testing these things? The community finds bugs in every patch within an hour or two of playing, then they have to wait for the next update to fix them. Far too many of GT5s patches are patching errors from previous patches.

Its a long way from 2.05 to 6.0...so they need many patches along the way :nervous:

次のGT5アップデート(2.05)
The next GT5 Update (2.05),

日本とアジアが明日15日、欧米は 16日に予定 しています。
is planned tomorrow 15th for Japan and Asia, 16th for Europe and America.

オンラインでの安定性が上がるはず。
Online [mode] stability is expected to improve.

Am I the only one a tad bit confused by the update dating? 15th for America and 16th for Europe and Asia would make some sense (Given that it'd be released at the same time worldwide.)

It might involve server-side changes that for some reason got delayed in the West.

I do find that odd, I honestly think something like that would be last minute (Like right when they are gonna update their servers, unless the US PS servers are gonna be down during the 15th?) There's also the very real possibility that Kaz got he's dates switched around.

i hope if fixes more than that! 👎

To the left of the post is some basic info about the poster.
One of the things you can find there is info about the where the poster lives.

I'm on a PS3 browser at the moment and I can't tell. Why else would I have asked? If you know then spit it out. It would have taken less effort than what you already wrote. LOL people always think they know more than everyone else.
