Well of course RB26DETT.the car was built for drifting as it said in the article..but that is still no excuse for almost a second loss....A modded RWD Skyline Vs a STOCK AWD skyline...both holding RB26DETT's the RWD one should have a greater advantage due to it having more power, and less weight..

you are an imbecile. the race scenes are usually filmed a very slow speed, there is no need for extremely fast cars in a "movie". its a movie and its no suprise those idiots used a Eclipse GS/RS in the first fast and furious instead of GSX or GST (you can tell because the green eclipse has drum brakes). shut up already about cars being slower than stock, thats not the issue here.
The reason why the movie is stupid because of the way they modified the cars. Neon underglow kits and park bench wings, fugly bodykits and "ricer" modifications are just plain embarrasing. I remember how NOS became a common term for little kids who dont know **** about cars when fast and furious came out. I remember hearing my cousin talk about pink slips and nawsss and all that nonsense, it made me sick.
Also, remember the infamous line "granny shifting, double clutching like you should." jesus christ I must have been the only one ripping my hair out when I first saw that movie.
Finally, I see way too much ricers on the street these days. Altezzas left and right, fart can exhaust, and their little civics with huge ass spoiler.
Those who think the movie is going to be "great", Im sorry but you guys have poor taste in cars period. Or you dont know **** about cars. The first movie was a travesty to the import scene and now with this 2 fast 2 furious coming out, expect more little *****es in their riced out civics.

Wow, too many people modifying their cars, what a shame. At least there are a lot of people still interested in cars nowadays. You act like you get offended when you see somebody with a wing or altezzas on their car. If a person likes it on their car, well hell, they can do whatever they damn well please. I'm just so ****ing sick of people acting like its a federal offence to modify their car. "Little riced out civics"...what the hell? The did something to their car that they liked! They had a Civic so they messed with it! What's so wrong with that? Does it personally offend you? If they aren't fast who cares? If doing things to your import these days is making you a ricer, then I don't even consider "rice" a valid term anymore.

Why wouldn't 2F2F suck? Well, not having Vin Diesel in it might be an improvement, I can see that. But in general it's destined to be the same idiotic story, except with a bigger budget and trying too hard to out-do itself.
And notice which car dies the horrible death - yup, the American one, again. This is because we all know only losers drive American cars.

Second...Why would you go to a movie just to criticise it? I mean if you KNOW it's going to be filmed at low speed, and you KNOW it's a movie and not a documentary why would you go in there expecting the script to be written by an Andretti?
Lastly, this thread is about the MOVIE not the results of the movie.
And might I add, how can people have poor taste in cars, because they like a movie? That's a very stupid notion, so since I thought the movie Italian Job was lame, I hate mini's? Because I thought The Transporter was lame..I hate M5's??? Your rational makes no sense guy.

Lol. It's funny because I was watching these interviews of the actors for 2f2f yesturday. In at the end, they said something like, "Yeah, Now that I've been in a movie all about cars, it's hard for me to go out and buy a car now. I always find myself saying, 'it's got too little hp' or 'where's the Nos?'" Lol. WHen infact, the cars in the movie are slower then in real life.

If you take a Skyline to Strip A, it might run a 13 second time. If you take it the Strip B it might run a 14 second time.
Theres no way of acheiving the same time and different tracks. The conditions might be different, there might be more humidity when they were testing these cars then what there was when Nissan was testing the R34 GTR.
And like others have said, they're only making them for a movie, they might not have had the right time to get the cars set up and tested properly.

those idiots destoryed that old back Americian muscle car in the 1st movie then kill a red mustang cobra. what the hell, they kill the only "good unriced" cars in those movies. destroying those 2 cars was the biggest sin ever.

It wasnt as bad as the first one. At least they give props the the Hemi Charger and Yenko Camaro. But those mitsus were ugly. It was nice seein a real skyline in action tho. The only ones ive ever seen were in GT2, GT3, and the JGTC.

How did it suck?! Your a car person, you appreciate them more than the average joe, I don't see how it sucked. Come on, you didn't like that Lancer? I think that YOU have bad taste in cars, not me. It almost seems to me that a lot of people here were building it up for themselves so much that it was going to suck that they will say that no matter how the movie is.

If you remember correctly, the Camaro was kicking the Lancer's ass. But it DID spin out, and the Lancer isn't a slow car, yet it still almost won.
I think that YOU underrate the Lancer. Stock its quite fast, and it supposedly had a lot done to it. Also, how did they ruin the Camaro? It was portrayed as an extremely fast car and basically saved the day at the end.
