ok. even if you cut out the gay cars flying. cut out all the fake racing. cut out all the stupid crap like drivin in reverse on the freeway. cut all that crap out and you still have a weak movie. nothin made sence. all of it was crap. why hire 2 drivers just to move some cash. F that movie. "just enjoy the movie" blah blah blah 2 fast 2 furious sucked.

This movie is ghey. The first one was ghey enough. Here are some things I want to point out from the first movie.
1. If you remember correctly 'Brian' said his car (the green eclipse) topped out at 140MPH. Then later (after it blew up) the chief said "That was an $80,000 vehicle officer". 80K for 140 MPH? Damn thats slow.
2. Look at Doms Charger (when the hood is on and he is about to go chase after Tran with Brian). The Hood is right up against the engine. This means that they didnt really use the real thing for the crash scene and the racing. They just made something look like the top of an engine and bolted it onto the hood. You need a space around the engine when it pops out through the hood so the vibrations from the engine wont brake the hood. Plus its easier to take the hood off and put it back on.
3. In the last race (when Dom races with Brain in the Charger - Supra race) he says that from the stoplight to the railroad tracks its exactly a quarter mile. Before while in the garage he said that the Charger can run 9's. That racing scene took over 45 seconds. Even if you account for them using slow motion, it doesnt equal out.
4. In that same race sequence (after something went wrong on the charger) Doms puts the accelerator all the way to the floor and shifts up. For one, why didnt he have it floored in the first place? Unless he let up for the clutch. On the race track, everyone has their foot to the floor (as said in the GT2 manual).
There are tons of other things I would like to point out but some are kind of obvious...

They're movies, you ********s. Fiction. You want realism, chase down a Supra on the streets of L.A. at 3 AM. You want entertainment, see TFATF/2F2F.
Then again, opinion is subjective. I enjoyed both movies, the second more than the first (freckled Asian! woohoo!). I'll be the first to admit it's not realistic or even plausible, but it makes for one hell of a ride.

Yeah I know its just a movie, but to me and other really car enthusiasts (like my dad) they stick out. Kind of like J-Lo's ass, it sticks out...

crap but what did you expect, an oscar winning performance. who cares is the actual acting, direction, script and plot was wacked, at least the cars were good (too many Japanese cars though)

So you would watch a movie where they would call a Nissan a volkswagon and with only NOS it would run 9's? (This is just an example for the few people that cant see that)

Both movies had lots of flaws, I cant argue with that. But still I enjoyed watching them. They were entertaining and funny for the least. How many believable action movies are there anyway? And is it really so bad to display reckless driving, while lots of people are killed and shot for fun in many other movies?

I just hate ppl who modify their cars to make them look good ( uglier ) and then they even try to act cool when they are on the street next to you. Ive got my suspension almost fully tuned ( not with coilovers tho ), and got some little added pieces here and there. Really grippy tires, and its a VW. Now these ricers always try to act cool and stuff. I dont mind... but all they know how to do is run in a straight line, and some ppl dont even know. So my 100 hp is not good enuff for the straights, but when I tackle a corner, I always see the riced up car lagging some 10 car lenghts behind me or more. It just annoys me that all these ppl know how to do is go straight. And this is the same **** in the F&F and 2F2F. I dont really care about 1/4 mile times, I'll kill you in the curve. Anyhow, 2F2F is a pos movie worth garbage, except for all those ppl that have neons on their car and wings that are so big they actually reduce the performance...

Whats funny is that 97% of you people complain about how TFATF movies are fake, which they are, its entertainment, but here you are posting on a board that is dedicated to unreality, a video game. The only thing real to you is source code, not tarmac.
To those posting something along the lines of what I posted and are being real, I give you your props, because all this complaing over a movie thats made to make you go "WOAH!" is annoying. You want realism? Option makes a monthly movie of JGTC, road racing, underground, D1, etc, all for 19 bucks. Best Motoring does the same.
TFATF movies are FANTASY, the creators state that in many a magazine. Even technical advisor Craig Leiberman says its all for movie glitz. The cars glow for a reason people.

So uh, you drive a little VW with 100 horses and you think you can win any race as long as you get to turn? I got news for you, races with turns also have straightaways. So no matter how great you can turn (whahoo....) you will always get pulled on in the straight.
I find it funny how you think tuning your car is ricing it out. You see, I have this silly little theory about people calling other peoples car rice. I call it jealousy. You see some guy with money to tweak his car to his liking so you make fun of it? But why? You just wish you could do the same. Like they say on the streets, "dont hate, congradulate."

proof that GTP is FLOODED with ricers? see this thread. they think the movie had cool-looking cars. yes, I dont expect to be a spectacular chasing scene.... nor do I want to think that they are really driving that fast... I dont want realism. I dont want them to really go to 400 mph (agh, I might point out Im being sarcastic, because I know someone here will flame because of "uknow the cant be 400milesan our ho culd u sday dat" thing)... It would be a decent thing... MORE decent at least, if the cars were cool. let alone if the cars really were cool. if the cars LOOKED cool then it would have been a little more decent. but, oh, god... cool looking cars??? poor cars, Id say.

Christ, I can't believe that. So, if I like the Skyline or the Supra (which I did), then I'm a ricer and everyone else that thinks so too are also ricers? Come on now, you can't honestly believe that. It's hard arguing with that because it makes no sence. In any case, I find it total bull. You obviously don't know what a ricer IS. So GTP is flooded with ricers? Apparently thats a horrible thing now, maybe they should ban us all.

There is a difference between tuning a car, and ricing it out. Like all those exagerrated Rear Wings, and Super Huge front lip spoilers and Neon lights. Thats ricing a car up. And I didnt say I could win races. All Im saying is that there are ppl who put all sorts of crap on their cars ( like the Huge Rear Wings ) and they think they are fast. Im just saying that in pure driving skill, alot of these ppl suck and I can kick alot of these ppls asses with 100 Horses
. I appreciate GOOD tuning, something that isnt like 2F2F which is all show. Something that catches your eye, but that doesnt say Im 2F2F wannabe yo. And Im not jealous, I have a pretty sweet suspension setup right now with some Proxes T1-S tires. Only thing that would make it better is to replace the racing shocks/springs by coilovers. The car has been slightly modified on the outside as well as the inside. Only thing left to change is the engine, and thats coming up soon I hope. Im gonna try to post pictures so ppl can try to understand the difference between "ricing" a car and tuning a car. Til then think what you want.Similar threads
