780 million? I thought the limit was 50?
Or you could buy a second PS3 and use that for v1.00... By my reckoning, that would cost about the same as buying credit packs for a Ford Mk IV.
Yes, that's how I did it.... I already had the 2 PS3s though. Spent a good 4 hours the other night doing it. Sell one GTV for 20 million, go on other PS3 and buy 20 more GTVs, back to v1.00 .... sell each for 20 million, spend it, sell another...Does this work? Cars bought and saved on 1.00 ps3 could then be loaded on the 1.01 ps3 using the same save file?

I did it 3 times and then when I'd got every car I wanted for now and banked another 20 million, I bought 20 XJ13s which I can sell later for 6 million a pop if I run short of credits doing chassis repairs

A computer genius. A computer genius would know the VGT wasn't in 1.00 and only a computer genius would wonder how much it'll sell when the game doesn't recognize the car.I would like to know who was the guy how discovered this glitch.
I´m not going to try this since I don´t want to loose or damage my saved data. Just in case. I have 1 million credits, 50 cars, Anniversary Edition ones, and more than 50% of the game completed...imagine if something happens.
I will play the game as it is. PSN version here.

So what you're saying is this could potentially be the case for every new DLC car!? Wonder if we go back to GT5 and tried on a DLC car if it would have worked.
you have to suffer with the body rigidity glitch. So if you do a couple of 24min races in a expensive car you have to pay to restore the rigidity after only 350 miles. If you are using a LMP/racecar car it's 500k to repair.
Because it's a glitch yet again they didn't catch. So remember that when you drive a expensive car around for awhile.350 miles until full body restore how is that possible? wasn't it like 5000 miles in GT5? if it is 350 miles that is absurd
Question....
Tis thread is 18 pages too long so I'm not going swimming tonight.
"What is the maximum priced car you can gift to a friend?"
I hope this doesn't rune the fact that we can sell back cars for credits. Didn't some sort of money glitch end up making the 20 million cap in GT5? Is it also the reason you could no longer gift expensive cars? I just hope that all these people talking about stock piling expensive cars in hopes of reloading in the future does not wreck it for everyone when they fix this error.
There is no gifting in GT6.Question....

So, question, is it fine if I download 1.01 after I do this? Or will all this be undone?
it's fine. once you update back to 1.01 just remember to update car images other than that small detail you are good to go. no issues with saves, game progress or garage/stockyard

The credit cap was in GT5 from day one, and the gift limit was put in place presumably because of eBay auctions for GT5 cars.
