Just look on the glitch as cosmic karma re-aligning the universe to compensate for Sony/PD's greed!
Plus we'll all buy proper DLC anyway. Tracks and Cars are fair game. This glitch just destroyed micro-transactions!Just look on the glitch as cosmic karma re-aligning the universe to compensate for Sony/PD's greed!

Again, I counted the hours. 24 hrs a day for 633 days. Almost two years. I want to go online and have a selection of cars to race in any event the host may pick. Don't have time to grind.
^ devs are making these games a grind instead of fun. Just hope they don't do dlc like Turn 10. You buy then still have to use in game credits.[/quoteLol that won't matter to us anymore though with the glitch an all?
We're still pedalling in a circle I see. Bravo. I realise the thread is long but that should be some sort of indication that anything anyone wants to say in it now has already been said at least a dozen times before.
No...then close that thread....
Someone in another thread came up with the number 1,200,000,000 or thereabouts.
Doing the math on that it came to around $8,500 US.
Absolutely! I've no problem with paying for additional content (providing it interests me, I bought every piece of DLC for GT 5) but micro transactions need to disappear FAST as they are simply a means of holding players to ransom and, worse in my book, distort gameplay progression.Plus we'll all buy proper DLC anyway. Tracks and Cars are fair game. This glitch just destroyed micro-transactions!

I think this estimate is way off. According to GT5 Matrix the total cost of all cars in GT5 is somewhere between 500 and 550 million credits. GT6 added only about 120 new cars compared to GT5 and many high-value cars got a great price reduction.
By the way, what is the name of that thread so I can read it?
"Exploiting any issue/environment, not intended to be accessible, to give oneself an unfair advantage in online play."
Well I just brought 166 M4's a calculated wealth of 3,320,000,000 in game credits.
Sold 31 of them to build my car collection to over 350 cars (no I didn't upgrade them ALL! But I did upgrage A LOT OF THEM!).
Sold 134 M4's in exchange for 134 Ford GT40's as future deposit on any cars i want to by and or upgrade.
And sold the last M4 to return to 1.01 with 20M in my pocket.
All in all considering I won the M4 i started all this with I'd have to say that was a damned good investment!
May as well throw in my 2 cents on this -
I am really torn to do this glitch, as I am always the person who gets busted for cheating (on anything in life) and I don't like to take shortcuts early in the game. I thought the anniversary cars were a good enough gift, but 20 million credits once or twice should be enough cars to keep me busy for a while.
I think of this glitch as a gift to all of the peeps that are die-hard fans and purchased the game early in its release, because I'm absolutely certain it will be fixed as more games are printed (if I'm correct, the first run discs are the reason we can do this). There's no way Sony will allow this to continue in light of their cash for credits scheme. In the meantime all of the original discs that have version 1.00 might be worth something someday, but I'm not savvy enough in the video game world to really know if this will be true.
If I do this, will I lose my 15 Anniversary cars, paints and suits? Will I be able to get them all back?
??
Q13: I have deleted update v1.01 and now is there a yellow exclamation point next to my Anniversary Edition vehicles and will not allow me to access them!
A: There is an issue with v1.00 recognizing the Anniversary Edition vehicles after deleting the v1.01 update. No worries, you still have the download rights to the content. Simply go to the PSN store and re-download the Anniversary Edition content.

Buying in game cars with the glitch doesn't give anyone an unfair advantage in online play, that term does not apply & therefore your argument does not hold up.
^I agree. Although I haven't used the glitch yet as I'm against using exploits like that to gain easy money in a game, I can fully understand (first time ever) that people are using it.
Payouts are clearly kept low to encourage people purchasing credits, which is an absolute outrage. Yesterday for example, I won the online 70 minute Matterhorn endurance (see GT6 online section) and got a whopping 18k credits for that...
So I'm facing a moral dilemma right now. Using the glitch or not to get some more cars I'm interested in...
And it's impossible if you have a life, job and family.
Grinding and microtransactions....Thats not what a video game should be about.
