20 million glitch NOT WORKING anymore | READ FOR INFO

maybe they will allow car gifting and you can give your friends amgs for Christmas. that could make 21 peoples day ya know? gotta find the good in every bad situation!

So when downgrading to 1.0 you lost your 20 gts and got 20m back again? so what happened to that 20m when you updated back to 1.02?

YES! That is exactly what happened; you worded it better than me. To answer you, it went back to 0, as you can see from the second image I posted. It says Version 1.02 on the top-left, and -- Credits top-right.

I'd rather have 6 million starting credits, use the 30 something cars I did buy with the one-off 20 million 'round' I had before 1.02, and start playing. 6 million jumpstart isn't too bad.

BUT I do not want to go ahead if the glitch does still work.
THIS is my exact dilemma here. Not continuing till I know the glitch definitely still works or doesn't work, one way or another. Someone mentioned karts, or a BMW M4...?

but still, in 1.0 you can spend this 20M. or not? and what happens if you spend it and upgrade to 1.02. merc remains?

i'm not planning to glitch it after terms of use was changed but just wonder how it works

I haven't done that yet (spend the 20 million I got refunded in 1.00). But you, I don't think I will do it. I think I'll just sell off the 20 AMG Vision GTs I have now, in 1.02, so I can get my 6 million. I didn't buy "great" cars with my 20 million I did have, and that's a shame. This is exactly why I am not continuing until I know it still works. If terms of use was changed, I'll wait to see 2 things: A) if the glitch still works, and people are still doing it, and B) if those that still do it get banned/something happens to them...

If it still works, and nothing happens to those that use it, I'll continue to buy myself all the cars in the game. Ideally, I just wanted to buy 20X [2055] cars. That would give me 400,000,000 Credits for me to go on a shopping spree, basically... I could then repeat it, if I save just 1 million.

THAT (above) was my grand plan :(
 
If you haven't downloaded 1.02 yet you should be able to disconnect from t'interweb before booting the game up, run the glitch, then update after you've got everything.

Sounds like if you've already updated you're screwed.

Given the glitch has been known about for one and half weeks now, all I can say is you should have been quicker.

I think this is the case, considering it DID NOT WORK FOR ME when I bought the Vision GTs in 1.02.

EVERYONE: buy your Vision GTs in 1.01, and the glitch will work in 1.00. Buy your Vision GTs in 1.02 however, like I did, and they WON'T work in 1.00 :(

So you need two PS3s and you're good :D (cue evil laughter)
 
The only solution seems to be keeping a PS3 with GT6 in 1.01 and do not upgrade it.
Possible only if you have more than 1 ps3 at home with one already in 1.01.

PS3 A in 1.02 (or more)
PS3 B in 1.01

1/ Gain credits on PS3 A and save
2/ Load your save on PS3 B and buy M4s
3/ Delete game data on PS3 A
4/ Load your save and sell a M4 on PS3 A (now in 1.00)
5/buy cars
6/ repeat 4/ and 5/ as explained multiple times.
7/ upgrade PS3 A to 1.02
8/ Enjoy

Ey??? And I actually do still have my old 160gb fat PS3, so is there a chance of doing something??? Course it isn't at 1.01 (hasn't been used in 3 years) so may not work then...?

Not really, as you need one with 1.01 on it and 1.01 isn't available anymore.

I am wrong. A saved game from 1.02 is likely not going to work in 1.01 either, so you cannot do it even if you have one PS3 still on 1.01… sorry.

This is what I thought of, but I am pretty sure you cannot load your 1.02 save in 1.01.

Ok, so to clarify. This glitch just DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE. As I said in the title/from the start?

If so, would you - indeed - recommend I start just playing the game, with the 6 million pound jumpstart I have (via selling my 20 unnecessary AMG Vision GTs)?
 
So basically as long as your still on 1.01 you can still do if required....

Maybe worth picking up 1 or 3 P330s before going to 1.02 then just in case ;)

It may be worth a try, but I honestly wouldn't expect it to work either. I suppose we'll see though. :)

Correct. They can't patch something if you've never loaded the patch. So everyone on 1.01 has the chance to do the glitch one time.

What sucks for me is that I only have about 80,000, so I'll have to sell a few cars and buy some M4s and I may be able to glitch 40 or 60 million if I'm lucky.

That's what I was thinking, somebody has posted the VGTs he bought in 1.01 were still showing as 2055s in 1.00 but as per the OP here any VGTs bought in 1.02 do not appear in 1.00 anymore.

You have to get 1.02 either way so I'll maybe give it one last try before agreeing to 1.02
 
I'm still at 1.01 with 7M, 3 VGT's and 8 M4's. I also have a few 20M cars in my garage wich I can sell for 6M each.
I didn't calculate the amount of M4's I can buy before going to 1.00 for the last time.
Should be good to aquire a huge pile of 20M Ferrari's in my garage before updating at 1.02.
I'm not sure it will work but I can't find any reason why not. 1 thing I'm sure, I need to know it.
