I went to the Blazers/Lakers game tonight. I guess Kobe had a record going on scoring at least 45 pts in 4 consecutive games? He had only 41 tonight. :D I somehow managed rooting for both the Blazers and Kobe. Both teams played really hard, but Blazers played little bit harder and little bit better tonight. They had a season high, at least 111.......... I think that was final. I think the Lakers had around 92 points. Go Blazers, Go Kobe!

P.S. It was a "bobble-head night", and tonight, I got the Travis Outlaw bobble. So far I've gotten Nate McMillan, Martell Webster and Travis' tonight.

Excuse me once again but....DEEEEETRRRROIITTTT BASSSKEEETTTBALLLLL

Anyways I've watched every Pistons game this season and I must say they are playing like they mean it. I can't wait for the playoffs...hopefully we can bring back the championship to Detroit.

Why, is Ginobili or Duncan retiring? Hahahahahahaha! :P j/k Detroit is pretty impressive this season. I still don't think they have the offense to carry them through. Spurs has both killer defense and offense. We'll have to see though, Detroit do have a new coach this season. I'm really hoping for the rematch in the Finals. :)

Wait who won tonight...the Pistons...(in my best Kool-Aid man voice) OH YEAH!!!!

 We'll see if Pistons can score in the 7-game series. :D I can't belive they held the Spurs to 68 points. :ill: What is up with Finley. He can't seem to show up against Detroit. Intimidated? I'd say.

I don't know I was expecting a close game, I mean a really close game...but the Spurs offensive was aweful. The defense was decent (not 1st in the league), but there major downfall was not being able to put the ball in the hoop.

I know it was a couple days ago now, but how about my boy Vince Carter against the Raptors? That was an incredible shot at the end of the game to win. It's kind of a shame though that Morris Peterson got kicked out of the game for returning a playful slap. Another messed up call.

That was on the local news sports highlight. :guilty: I must say, that was pretty amazing. 👍

Wade got a triple double last night against the Sonics! :D

15 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds

The Heat also shot the lights out from the free throw line, shooting 25-27.

Once again Pistons > Everyone. Excellent game today I must say, I mean they were way down in the 1st and came back and won pretty handley.

Wow, Kobe scored 81 tonight
He's the man. Just, wow. 👍 News said that this is the second highest total of 100 points in a game by Wilt Chamberlin, but scoring 81 today and 100 back then is a totally different story. Today's NBA is way more physical and defense oriented. I think Kobe's 81 is an bigger accomplishment than Wilt's 100.

I figured my Blazers will lose against the Mavs tonight. But I hear they took the Mavs to overtime. Go Blazers!

Psssh Pistons won again, what a surprise. I'm hoping they win 70 games this year.

Well considering it was the Raptors, and that their defense is uh...Chris Bosh, i wouldn't exactly say that. :D

just to say how things were strange for me...

i was out of town, had no TV or whatever, so i asked a friend by SMS who was going to the superbowl.

later, he sent to me a message saying:

"your sonics beat the suns in double OT, 152-149, and ray allen hit the winning shot. now the best part. kobe scored 81! believe that!"

then i said to myself - that idiot is trying to make fool of myself just to see if i call him to ask if that´s true... so, i just let it go.

today i came to work, got online and the first thing i saw on nba.com was the 81 something. "holy**** it really happened!!!"

just to say that it was unreal. 81 points by kobe and a team scoring 150 in today´s NBA. awesome.

GO SONICS!!!👍 :dopey:

and go kobe for the 100!. that might never happen again, but would be nice to see this unbeliaveble record beaten...

Raptors aren't the finest team, but do you guys realize how hard it is to score even 40 points in this league? During the 80's, when the league was more scoring oriented, guys like Domique Wilkins, Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Larry Bird, etc. Those 'Legends' played against plenty of teams worse than the Raptors, yet, they couldn't reach 80 points indivually. Heck, NBA teams score that much as a whole team on a slow night. Scoring 81 points in 48 minutes is amazing, even if it's against Bosh(I don't know his defensive ability). But no matter who's guarding Kobe, if he's on, there isn't much you can do. I went to the Blazers/Lakers game, probably couple weeks ago. He was on the streak of scoring 45 points for 4, 5 games in a row? Blazers slowed him down real good, double team or defense just collapsing on him everytime he got the ball. After the game was over, he still had 41 points. Most players couldn't score 41 points in their careers.

You are lucky! My Blazers was a underdog last night too, against Dallas. They took 'em to o/t, but unlike the Sonics, they fell short. :indiff:

81 points is ridiculous. And I'd have to agree that it's a bigger accomplishment than Wilt's 100. He was bigger than anyone else on the court at that time, I think it takes a lot more talent to do what Kobe did. The most insane stat from that game was that Kobe outscored the Raptors by himself 55-41 in the 2nd half. He had Morris Peterson on him for most of the game, who is the Raptors best 1-on-1 defender and almost always covers the opposing teams biggest offensive threat. But there was nothing he could do. Some of the shots Kobe made were just crazy. Probably the best thing about that game though was that the Lakers were down by 17 (?) at one point, and he just put his entire team on his shoulders and carried them to victory. Definitely the most impressive performance I've witnessed in my life. 👍 I love you Kobe, haha.

See, I didn't even know that. That makes his '81' even more special. When the Lakers play Portland, most of the time we put Ruben Patterson on Kobe. Patterson is our best defender at G/F position and usually slows down anybody, even the likes of LeBron James. You guys might have heard of Patterson's claim of "Kobe Stopper"? Ever since he made that claim, he hasn't been able to slow Kobe down since.

Well since this is general basketball talk...

I won 2 tickets to go see the Pistons on Friday...best thing is...they are floor seats...OH YEAH!

 I won em off the radio, they had some triva question and I got it right.

If the game is on national tv why don't you show a GTP sign or something so we can see you?
