👍
I thought for sure you said Jeff Van Gundy. Were Heat struggling this season? or maybe he couldn't stand his players or the management?

Family issues, he said. And he also said he knew people wouldn't believe him, but that it was the truth.

Wow. I still don't belive him, but who knows? :D

I know about the KG trade rumor hovering around, but just to let you guys know, Blazers' Zach Randolph has asked to be traded also(yesssssss!). He does a great job on rebounding, and scoring too, as long as he stays inside. Any takers?

Finley's the man! Great game the spurs and him had last night vs the kings. Quite a nail bitter at end of game.

See him tonight? Getting into it with PJ Brown? I can't believe the Hornets won that game. Chris Paul is going to be a great player.

Finley's great indeed. Who started the fight? I'm guessing PJ. I got to see Chris Paul play in Rose Garden(Portland). Blazers won in a overtime, but Paul put on a quite a show. I was impressed. 👍

I'm not entirely sure what happened, but something happened under the Spurs net that I guess PJ Brown didn't like, and as Finley brought the ball up court PJ stopped and give a pretty firm shoulder check, hah.

Props to CBS Sportsline for their very interesting report on the game:

An early confrontation between Brown and Finley helped get the crowd fired up.

Feeling he had been fouled by Duncan on a blocked shot under the basket, Brown stepped into Finley's path on his way back up the court and was called for a flagrant foul.

Finley stepped toward Brown and pushed the ball into Brown's chest as Horry approached. After the players were split up, Finley followed Brown as he backed toward midcourt and the two continued talking to each other.

"It was a physical game," Brown said. "I know everybody thinks I'm like St. Nick or Santa Claus -- which I am -- but I get a little heated, too. I'm human.

"Finley's a good guy. I wasn't trying to hurt him," Brown added. "I'd never try to hurt nobody or be malicious. I try to play the game hard. It was just one of those things. ... He just happened to be the next guy with the ball. It could have been anybody."
I know somebody who knows somebody who knows Finley ( :sly: ), and I knew it was PJ who started it. He's not a bad guy, but like he said, he does stuff like this sometimes. He's a PF, so it's kinda like his job, really. :D

does anyone wants vladimir radmanovic?

we take even a ball-boy in return.

i hate when guys don´t want to play for your team.
if you don´t wanna play for a certain team, just get the hell out of there!

we could make a package of radmanovic, murray and plus2 or 3 of sonics stupid power fowards, in exchange for zach and dixon, but nate would probably spit on radmanovic, so no deal...

but i would like to see a randolph type of player in a sonics uniform

DARN! The Blazers lost again! :( And again, officials helped out the home team. What is wrong with this league? That's not what the home court advantage is about. 👎 In the fourth quarter, with the Blazers in position to win, officials made SERIES of calls that simply didn't exist. There was a key no-call, where I think was Zach Randolph got hacked right in the forearm, nothing. Billups got fouls called from the 3-point line, twice. First one, I'd have given it to him, but still questionable(looked liked he drew contact). Second one, he just jerked in middle of the shot and they whistled. There also was a key(yes, another "key") block by Ratliff, they called goaltending. It was still on the waaaaay up, it wasn't even close. If they didn't do a "make up" call at the other end, I'd have said that Blazers have won the game, but officials took it away. With the make up call, Blazers had a chance to tie, but it was simply too much to over come. Last road game at Utah was exactly the same way. OK, I think I'm done venting. :indiff: What was refreshing about the current Blazers are that even through all the questionable calls/no-calls, they just laughed it off. Blazers with Rashweed Wallace and Bonzi would have cried whined like a baby(like I am right now).

 I read that he's going to block any trades though. :D

/cry Spurs lost again too. Oh well they just better not lose at home anymore lol.

I saw the winning shot by Bogut on the news. :indiff: Tough shot, but he pulled it off. I'm not worried about the Spurs though. It's just like the Pistons last year. They weren't that hot doing the regular season, but you know they are gonna be around late in the playoffs. 👍 I wonder if Ginobili played in this game?

62 in 33 minutes!!!

:dopey:  :) 👍 :ill: :)

maybr a right time for me to defend that kobe is the closest thing the NBA has to MJ...

i just don´t get what goes on on players mind in nights like that... call me a kid or whatever, but i would stay in the game trying to score 100! i´m sure everyfan would love that also...

btw, wilt the stilt had 69 thru 3 qtrs in the 100 point game, so we never know how many kobe would score...

hope he gets another chance in a closer game...

i miss badly NBA in my fu 🤬 country... wish i had watched that game... :(

congrats kobe

Yeah, it was a huge game from Kobe last night. Pretty much single handedly won that game. I remember about 3 (?) years ago when Shaq was still with the Lakers, Kobe scored 56 points in a game without even playing the 4th quarter. :scared: And I would definitely agree that Kobe is the closest thing to MJ right now.

Giancarlo
Did the Blazers beat the Pistons?
Refer to my post(post 250 and no, they lost :P).

I love Kobe, but I don't think he can be compared with MJ. As far as the scoring go, Kobe's as good as anybody, but MJ was more than that. One thing I'm pretty sure Kobe will never possess is the kind of leadership MJ had. He made everybody play harder and better....... but on top of that, he could do everything on the court. Steal, assist, rebound, he did it all. Also, MJ and Pippen were great cheaters. They knew all the tricks in the book, and how to get inside the opponents heads(just ask Karl if he made that delivery on Sunday). :D

Yeah - Kobe Bryant was incredible. He took over the game for the Lakers. Maybe its because noone other than him and Lamar Odom is any good.

As for Kobe Bryant being the closest to Micheal Jordan.... I don't know. I would say he's definately in the top three along with Tracy McGrady and LeBron James. Tracy McGrady is always the closer for his Houston Rockets team - he always make the huge shots. Tracy McGrady is one heck of a player. Remember that 13 points in 35 second against the Spurs? Yeahh...

Anyways as for Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets - they are going down the drain this season. With so many injuries I don't see how the Houston Rockets can turn this season around. With a record of 10-13 winning the last 6-7 games - they were certainly turning their team around. They start off to a horrible start and they lost McGrady due to a back injury. They went 0-8 during that time McGrady was out. Then McGrady came back and took over the Rockets and provide them with a five game winning streak.

But theres more problem. Yao Ming will be out for at least two weeks. That's real bad news. The Houston Rockets have 6 solid players out with injuries.

Yao Ming
Dikembe Mutombo
Jon Barry
Rafer Alston
Derek Anderson
Bob Sura

Now they have to work with what they have. Tracy McGrady. Stromile Swift has not stepped up like the Rockets thought he would. T-MAC needs help or the Rockets are going to LOSE until Yao Ming comes back healthy.

EDIT: Have any of you heard that the New Jersey Nets really want Stromile Swift? I mean from the articles that I have read - the Nets are ready to give up Richard Jefferson for STromile Swift. And if that's not enough - they even added Jeff McInnis to the pot to make it a little sweeter. Nets are losing their mind.

That is insane. I wonder if they overpaid for Jefferson, and now they are trying to cut their losses? Nets management aren't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed though. They make the Blazers management look like rocket scientists.

A.I. dropped i believe 51 in a loss :( And great game by Kobe. I'm soo out-dated. Merry Christmas guys! :)
OH YEAH, and i'm goin to a Warriors game on the 26th.

Damn! Zach Randolph's been playing inside, offense's been moving the ball, plus they've been playing scrappy defense! When the Blazers do those things, they'll have a good chance of beating anybody. It's pretty much their 3 keys to winning the game, so hopefully they'll remember them. As far as I can tell, they started playing this way against Detroit Pistons and as I've said before, I felt that they should have won that game. Against Memphis, I heard they played great in their loss. Blazers did beat Minnesota and then Sacramento tonight.

Zach Randolph can be a "great" player when he does play inside, but lately, he's been a jump shooter. Against the Pistons, he scored 37 points against two of the NBA's best defenders in Rashweed and Ben Wallace. I think maybe that got Zach's confidence up.

Hehe, sorry for no report on the game. BUT all i saw was an alley-oop from Baron to Jason and horrible D. :)
They can't win 'em all. :) I hope you had fun at the game..... maybe not the outcome of the game, but enjoying the atmosphere and rooting for your team's always fun!

^Yes very fun indeed. Got great tickets too. BUT, wow the whole crowd was pissed though. It seems like we just gave the game away. Well, on to the Sixers for me ;)

I have three reasons to cry about the Blazers/Grizzlies game on Friday night.

1. Blazers lost by 3. :(
2. Damon Stoudamire's season ended. He blew out his knee. It could be career ending. :(:(
3. My boss told me today that he got four tickets for that game as I was taking off from work. He knows that I'm a Blazer freak, so he looked outside to see if my car was still there, but I had already taken off. :(:(:(

On Ron Artest/Indiana Pacers. What happened to the trade? I thought the Pacer's management promised to have Artest dealt to another team by end of this year? Oh, well. I guess they'll dump him by the trade deadline in February for sure.

I was pissed the Pistons lost today, oh well 23-4 is still pretty impressive. Can't win em all.

Giancarlo
Looks like the Heat will finally win a game on this road trip...

Sorry a6m5. :D
Funny guy...... :grumpy: :D

I could swear that Blazers were on the road, but I guess it was a home game for us. I take it Blazers are down by little bit?

HOUSTON -- Houston star Tracy McGrady left Sunday night's game against Denver with a recurrence of severe back spasms.

2006 SEASON STATISTICS
GM PPG RPG APG FG% FT%
23 25.9 7.0 5.1 41.684 75.980

The 6-foot-9 McGrady, who missed eight games earlier in the season because of back spasms, missed a deep jumper near the top of the key in the final seconds of the first half. He started backpedalling, stopped abruptly, bent over and crumpled to the floor, screaming in pain as the buzzer sounded.

McGrady was lifted onto a stretcher and rolled off the floor, surrounded by several team officials and owner Les Alexander. An ambulance took McGrady to the hospital.

The Rockets are already missing their other star, Yao Ming, who's out at least another month after surgery to remove an infection from his left big toe.

Guards Rafer Alston and Jon Barry recently returned from leg injuries and Derek Anderson remains sidelined with a calf strain. The backcourt trio has missed a total of 45 games this season.

Now both Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming is out - theres no way the Houston Rockets can win. They lose a huge scoring monster in McGrady. I hope this is just for this game.

Yeah, I usually listen to it from the local Blazers AM station's website. I think I'll turn it on now. Thanks, dude! :)
