Damn that sucks man, i hope they don't sell your favorite team.
Thanks. :) I'm really hoping things will work out. Portland's been after a MBL team as well, but after this, you can forget about it. If we can't even support one "major" league team, nobody would be foolish enough to invest on the second one. :indiff:

On a good note(kind of), Blazers won tonight! I say kind of, because Blazers had lost eleven games in a row before tonight. :D I finally got couple of tickets from my work, so I went with my buddy and we showed our support for the team. I joked to him ealier that I could swear there were only about 4,000 fans in the house, but those 4,000 all turned out to be a diehard Blazer fans, so it got really loud in there tonight. 👍 I even caught a free T-Shirt that they toss down on mini-parachutes! I jumped up and snagged it like I would a rebound. One kid was really close to getting it, so good sport that I am, I gave him the shirt. ;) He was so happy about it, it kind of made the night even sweeter.

Blazers won by just one point on a very close game tonight, just avoiding the 12 game losing streak(that would've been some kinda record). In a Schontz tradition(nickname of the Blazers original radio broadcaster), "Blazers win!, Blazers win!, Blazers win!".

i can´t cheer for a team that moves from one city to another... if my sonics leave to vegas, then:censored:

just last night i was watching some shawn kemp videos over youtube.com
great stuff. reminds me how much i was a die hard fan... somehow i just don´t have that excitment for the team anymore... that magic seems to be gone... because right now i know they´re going nowhere... and most of then are not worthy... ah, old times, too bad its history:(

on related news, i really hope kemp gets a job this season... it was my only basketball idol in my life, so i still hope he can left the game in a good way:tup:

Blazers are the worst team in the NBA! I sure didn't see this coming, but with too many injury problems and too much issues off the court(team selling, moving, Darius Miles, etc.), Blazers will have just barely over 20 wins this season. I guess the good thing is that Blazers will have another top 3 pick in the draft this summer, maybe even #1.

Paul Allen(blazers owner/co-founder of Microsoft) was on the news last night. He said it might be the last time he caught the Blazers game as the owner of the team. I will miss him personally, but if he can't manup to the financial mistakes "He" made for the team, then I guess it's time for him to move on. I do like the current ownership and especially the management(I even got to shake hands with the President Steve Patterson at a dinner), so it will be sad to see a change there.

Last game of the season is at the Rose Garden(Portland), against Phoenix on Wednesday. I'm gonna try to go to that one.

Season has ended for the Blazers. I went to the game with one of my buddies, dressed in Blazers jersies. I wore my favorite retro Damon Stoudamire jersey('70-'71).

As for the game, Blazers lost again. :D They finish the season with 21-61 record. Dead last in the league. It was a "fan appreciation" night, so I did get a free poster, met one of the Blazers Dancers, and scored a Blazers cap(good thing, because I forgot mine at home!).

Couple of positives from this game. 1) Our 1st - 3rd year players looked really good. I think that they are finally ready to go, it's just too bad that season just ended. 2)In the NBA Lottery in May(I think), with the Leagues worst record( :ouch: ), Blazers will get one of the top picks. If I understand it correctly, they'll have around 25% chance of landing the top pick, but will not pick lower than 3rd.

It was a very long season, and as a Blazer fan, I'm kinda glad it's over. I'm looking forward to rooting for the Spurs in the Finals(;)), and the NBA Draft in June.

P.S. Not to forget, Go Pacers! as well. 👍

I think this sounds a little familiar *coughcoughTimDuncancoughcough*
That was one of the worst years turn to one of the best decade for the spurs, since Duncan came along. It will be Blazers time to shine again soon. In the mean time keep rooting for the Spurs...!👍

I don't know if anyone has been watching the playoffs, but DAMN yesterdays game, Lakers VS SUNS was a great big smelly POS. In OT Steve nash has the ball coming up the court, sees the double team coming his way, calls a time-out, 'ref' doesn't hear him, so lakers grab up the ball, ref calls jumpball. Sonofabeach. Jump ball is way not fair for the Suns, nevermind that it never should hacve happened in the first place. The Kobe scores with .7 second on the ticker. I hate that highly skilled bastard. His final shot was sooo Jordan-esque it was almost spooky. I was sooo pissed after watching the game, but man what a game to watch!!!!

Can't wait to see game 5!!!!!

Even the analysist and announcer were saying that should've been a foul, but you all missed something. During the inbound right before Nash got the ball, Nash shoved his defender away to catch the ball, and his defender went flying. That right there is a foul, and jump ball is the BS they call "make-up call" in the NBA. If Refs really should have called the game like they were supposed to, foul would've been called on Nash on a inbound. Also right after the jump, I believe I saw Nash smacking a Laker in the neck or the face, while blocking out. Granted he is a shorter guy, but I hate getting chopped in the neck when a shorter guy blocks me out, so I did not like that.

I didn't catch how Kobe took the game into the overtime, but I did catch most of the O/T. I agree with you, what a finish. I don't like the Lakers, but am a big Kobe and Phil Jackson fan, so I do root for those two everytime, even if I want the Lakers to lose. :D

Thanks! Spurs started off so well, but I can't belive they dropped two in a row. :guilty: Ginobili hasn't been unstoppable, and Bonzi Wells been hot(I hate the SOB). That worries me a bit. I hope the Spurs will finish the series strong.

P.S. Just when everybody thought the NBA Playoffs were too long, seven game series for first round? What are they thinking? Apparently, as long as it's more $$$ for the league, they will do whatever they feel like. If anything, it should be like the NCAA format, maybe three game series for the finals.

if the bucks had managed their lead last night, we would be talking about a surprising playoffs...

lots of possible upsets... after first round exits, i have to ask: what´s wrong with the nuggets? also, it was very cool that the griz were swept.

again.

i hate defensive minded teams that are boring to watch, so good thing they are out.

lots of parity in the east... i also think the spurs are very vulnerable right now... the series might be long...

and since my sonics are out... go kobe! i love the trashing of the suns... not thati don´t like their basketball, but is always good to see the underdog wining. also, a clippers X lakers series will be lots of fun... i hope they can close out the suns tonight:nervous:

Show down in Texas High Noon Sunday.... BE THERE!:)

This is going to be a good show down to watch. I want the spurs to win but if they have to lose rather it be to the mavs. Little AJ was a spur. :sly: and will aways be in my book.

I love the tension in that series. I think Bell is coming back from suspension in the game 7, so I think you can expect the extra spicy in this game. Come on, Kobe! 👍 Someone at work also pointed out the possible "L.A." Series the other day. That would be pretty exciting. I'd give the edge to Clippers, but like you said, The Lakers are the underdog, even in this 1st round series, so that doesn't really mean anything.

Oh my goodness! :scared: I just misread your post and thought that the Spurs lost the Game 6 and were playing Game 7 in San Antonio!

I too used to love Avery when he was the floor general of San Antonio(except when they were killing the Blazers, post-Tim Duncan :nervous: ). Way he turned Mavs into a machine is kind of scary. Believe it or not, I see Mavericks as a bigger threat to the Spurs than the Pistons. I could be wrong, only time will tell. Go Spurs!

Awwwww, this ....... made me so mad on Sunday:
CBS SportsLine.com wire reports
PHOENIX -- NBA commissioner David Stern acknowledged that it was a mistake to schedule the San Antonio Spurs to open the Western Conference semifinals with an early game on Sunday.

"If we had it to do over again, we wouldn't have acceded to the network's request on that one," Stern said on Monday night.
First, ABC/ESPN spends billions of dollars to outbid NBC for the TV rights, but they show all the games on ESPN, which meant, now, you have to have cable to watch NBA. And on last Sunday, when I was expecting to watch the Game 1 of the great Dallas/San Antonio series, I check the score and it's already done! According to the story, "ABC wanted to show the Cleveland-Detroit game in the more attractive later time slot." Who gives a ____ about the Cavs and the Pistons, unless you are fan of the teams involved or are complete tool and thinks King James and Detroit match up is very exciting? East coast game that doesn't matter in the primetime(not really, but you see my point), while showing one of the most exciting game in all of the playoffs earlier in the morning was just unbelievable to me.

At least David Stern had enough guts to come forward and assure the fans that this kind of stuff won't happen again. I wish ABC would actually show games during the regular season as well. I miss the good old "NBA on NBC". :indiff:

i still have the intro song in my PC... and also in my shawn kemp DVD that i put togheter with his best dunks:dopey:

talk about missing... playoffs are the time tha i least enjoy, due to the fact that i´m stuck in a soccer country. TV coverage drops, i only got to see one game per week, and most of the time my team is not playing in the playoffs, so, little excitment...

please god, i don´t want to see pistons and spurs in the finals...

its too boring!!!!!:grumpy: 🤬 :banghead:

:dopey: Defense got to love it! it's what makes the world of the NBA turn. 👍

I gotta go with defense too. I've loved NBA defense since watching the Championship Bulls team, and that's why Scottie Pippen is my third favorite player of all-time.

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a Pistons-Spurs final again. I don't find it boring, it's just two great, defensive oriented teams. It's good fundamental basketball.

Oh my god. What is going on here? Spurs are down 3-1 and Cavs and Pistons are tied 2-2. I am so confused........ I am glad that Rashweed made an ass out of himself on national tv, but am totally devastated that Spurs lost tonight. :(

Dallas is really surprising me. Im starting to believe that this might be their year to finally win it all.

Hopefully the Cavs give the Detroit a nice long series so the well rested Heat can destroy whoever comes in our way. ^_^

Congrats to the Miami Heat(and thanks for erasing my previous lost bet on double or nothing, and also a XL Baja Blast). It's looking better and better for the Heat right now. Eastern Conference Final will now be Miami against: a)WAY over their head Cavaliers or b)Tired and cranky Pistons. Either way, it will be Miami's series to lose, I think.

I don't know if my Ginobili avatar helped, but Spurs won a close one last night. My boss told me that Ginobili had an awesome game, which I was very glad to hear. 👍 I will be keeping the Ginobili avatar for rest of the Spur's playoff run. :) Go Spurs!

They ripped off Dirk in Wednesday's game. That last foul they called a jump foul when the guy was all over him. It was a shot foul and he should have had a free throw.

Is that the one, Bowen or Ginobili or somebody came from the side to block the shot? I saw it only from one angle on the news highlight, but it looked like it was all ball.

omg! here we are a game 7 monday. I dont think i can bring myself to watch it......

first i cheered for the lakers against the suns. 3-1, all good

they lost.

then i cheered for the clippers against the suns. they were going 3-2. raja beel hits shot...

they lost.

cavs up 3-2, chance to close out the boring pistons. all they need to do is get a stupid rebound!

they lost.

mavs up 3-1 against the also boring spurs. it can´t be happening again.

they lost.

i´m hating this season, its so damn predictable, there´s no news. its spurs and pistons in the finals, with the spurs taking it 4-2.

i hope i´m wrong, but after those 4 situations... i just can´t cheer for any team... maybe the best way to get the things i want is... go spurs!!! go pistons!!!

The Mavericks are cleaning out the Spurs. Wow. A early 19 point lead against the defending champion in game 7. I wouldn't be surprised if Mavericks defeat the Spurs.

I still pick the Piston to win it all. Mavericks vs Pistons is going to be a good match. :)

4th quarter now and less than 10 seperate the Spurs and Mavericks (7 point game right now).

As for predictions...
I never predicted this many game-7s and I never expected the Suns to get past LA (although I did want to see it happen :P).
As of right now I like the Spurs as well, coming back from 20 points is hard to do. When Kobe gave-up on winning just before the half, I learned a lesson in character and right now I see the spurs playing with great character. 👍

Best wishes to all teams though.
I don't watch basketball generally speaking and this year has been my first year back into the game since the early/ mid 1990s.

What the championship and playoffs bring I am sure it will be interesting to watch.

It looked like the Spurs were going to win in regulation, but then Mavs forced the O/T. It's pretty much over now. Mavs will advance to play the winner of the Phoenix/LAC Series. This sucks. I don't like any of the final four teams. :guilty:

all right it worked! now i´ll need double luck to get that boring pistons out of the picture... dallas and miami would be great... so as miami and phoenix... the final i was hoping last year... at least its not going to be spurs 70, pistons 65.:)
