Well I just looked up the score (before leaving for work) and found out the Suns managed to win another game7.

So now they go on to play who?

Back later today (really tonight when I get out of work).
Till then,
-

Piston will once again defeat the Miami Heat and advance to play the Mavericks in the finals. I'm not a huge Dallas fan - but I know they will beat the Suns. Once again - I predict the Piston to defeat the Mavs in 6 - or 7.

I'm done with the Playoffs. No Blazers, no Spurs, no Pacers, NO FUN! :( :D

Oh, and they just announced NBA Lottery results today. Portland Trail Blazers, with the best chance of getting the 1st pick and could not finish no worse than the 4th pick got the pick number............... 4. :grumpy: It's been that kind of a season for the Blazer fans. Oh, well. At least the draft is deep this year. They just gotta remember, don't draft the (player's)position you need, draft the best player available. 👍

NOOOOOOO my Boring love able SPURS not going to make the repeat this year. :banghead: O well still have to root for the Texas team and little AJ to win it all this year.

go heat!!! trash that boring pistons team. i just loved game one... i hope they can do the same tonight, but it won´t be an easy task. detroit will be ready. but interesting to see how the role players for miami will play if shaq and wade get 35+ minutes... i´m sure haslem will play better... but so is sheed...

can´t wait to see the game, it´s going to be broadcasted here in brazil:dopey:

and wow, dallas lost a gem they had. how stupid. i´m not a fan of eitheir team, so this series is just about fun for me. 121-118, lots of action. if it keeps going like this it will be a fun 7 game series:tup:

They must have won again. 3-1, Miami? Dallas/Miami NBA Finals should be entertaining.

Yep and yep. But i'd rather we play the Suns; hopefully they get their act together tonight.

Div is back
Nobody in the Suns could stop Shaq, but Shaq could stop nobody too...

Yeah, but it's a proven formula that to beat the Suns you need to attack the paint and stay at home on their perimeter shooters. The Heat have always been an excellent team in the paint, and during the Pistons series have greatly improved their perimeter defense.

I'm a Heat fan, be easy:P

I think Dallas willl win though, I can't see Phoenix winning another series by the edge of a sword.

I know - i wasn't trying to be harsh, just stating my opinion. :)

Yeah the Suns have lost their heart, but i still see a chance for them to come back and win.

Great. Blazers just let the General Manager go. Vice President Patterson took over the as a interim GM. Rumor is that Blazers are going after the former Nuggets GM, Kiki Vandeweghe. What a mess. I just hope they find somebody capable. Blazers need all the help it can get.

P.S. This year's Suns never ceases to amaze me.

die pistons, die!!!!!!!!

tonight is the night. i know i´m a sonics fan, but i´m cheering a lot for the heat in these playoffs. i hope they can close out the series tonight... please shaq, don´t get in foul trouble. walker, go to the paint. posey, please stop prince. williams, try to hit some shots... haslem, just rebound... payton, make life miserable for billups... mourning, just start a fight with rasheed and let him deteriorate... and wade... well, just be wade:sly:

heat and mavs or heat and suns. should be great finals, with lots of exciting hoops to be played

Hey what's up people! I never posted here before but it's 'bout time to do so...I love basketball a lot and I never stopped playing it, I started when I was like 8 and since then, I'm the dribble king ;)
Sorry I can't post anything on the thread's topic but I just didn't have a chance to keep track of the season, but I'll do next year.

"Better late than never", and I'm glad you could join us! :) Although this thread is on this season of the NBA, feel free to visit some of the older basketball/NBA threads(there aren't that many :P), or create some new, interesting ones that we can have discussion on. When it comes to basketball, there are few(unfortunately, literally) opinionated members here, so I think we can have some interesting discussions. And guys, no need to take it easy on Mr.Ozzy. He knows, his basketball. 👍

P.S. I was guessing that Shaq was going to have a big game tonight, and Miami was going to finish the series at home. I don't know if Shaq did have a big game, but looks like Miami did win, so congratulations, Miami Heat!(+Giancarlo).

yeah, detroit is oficially dead... man, when they shifted the camera to ben wallace after toine´s last three... the look in his face... priceless...

wade absolutely f%$# then in the third quarter... j-wil and shaq had games like 4 years ago... great stuff... bring on the mavs:tup:

Ben Wallace was criticizing Flip Saunders for putting too much emphasis on offense, and not on defense, which was what put Detroit over the top of many teams. He also criticized his teammates for not taking the games seriously enough. I hope it means Big Ben getting traded to a team like the Portland Trail Blazers. :D

Yeah, he had 28 points on 12-14 shooting, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks.

Everyone else played great as well: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=260602014

And thanks. :)

OK, I guess it's time for predictions and such then. I'll say Miami in 7. I would love to see Wade win a championship, even if he's only 24. I'm definitely looking forward to what should be a great series. Go Heat.

i would say its unpredictable, both teams are evenly matched, but i give the edge to miami because of the star play. 2 uberstars against one. howard, stack, terry are all capable of horrible games

miami in 6. if the series goes to 7, then its most likely to be dallas. but what a great finals. heat and mavs will draw a lot more ratings then a boring spurs x pistons finals

go heat!

about ben wallace. i never doubted him as a defender, but to me you can´t be the best defender in the entire league if you can´t defend a guy (shaq) give the award to bowen instead, but what´s the point of having "the best defender in the league" if he can´t do his job against one particular player? diop and dampier will get owned, but still, it won´t be much different from what happened to the undersized ben

I think the Heat will win in 6 or 7 games simply because the Mavs have been changing their style of play through the first 3 rounds of the playoffs, whereas Miami has stuck to their same style - just gelling together as a team. That's seemed to work well so far.

And besides, even though they were off in the Conference Finals i think the Pistons are a much tougher team than Dallas.

That's definitely a good point, but Dallas went through San Antonio who some would argue are a tougher team than Miami, so I guess it's kind of totally up in the air at this point.
