Great. Now I can't tell the difference between JCE and McLaren.

I agree with JCE. It's not so much Miami, it's Dallas.

And it's too bad about Haslem. I hope he'll make it back soon. When they were showing his face from the bench, you can tell that he so badly wanted to play.
Just look for my little bity font. :D

Anyways, JCE nailed it. There's no way you could call this a "Lucky" situation for Dallas as all these channels seem to be hinting. No, Miami is just being lazy. Shaq is a dissappointment. I used to like the man, really. But my god man, at least get some decent Free Throws in!
Be like Dirk. Everytime I saw Dirk shoot, I was thinking that ain't going in. But it did. Hell Shaq, even hit the side of the rim!

I'm really expecting a better game tomorrow, cause I'll tell you this. If Dallas pull off another breakaway in the points like they've done so far, they're not going to relax like they did last night. Really, if we end up with another Dallas win by 14 points, it's over. I'll not even take Game 4 seriously unless the Heat win it.

I know, I know. I sound like the typical Dallas fan. But really, I want the Heat to get off their butts. Not saying I want them to win (:D), but to at least give Dallas a hard time and have an interesting game.

"Be like Dirk." I need to put together a remix of "Be like Mike" but in German and Dirk instead of Mike. That would be ownage. Actually, I hope the Heat lose game 3 by more than 25 points. You like Shaq I do not, he's insulted the Mavericks his whole career and now it's his turn to get what's deserved. You have no idea how much it meant to the city of Dallas and myself for the absolute OWNAGE we did on Shaq the first 2 games. I like the entertainment value of his interviews but he showed ZERO class by not doing the post game--and that's why he got a $10k fine and the Heat got hit for $25k. Meaningless amounts but the point still stands. You know being a Maverick fan I automatically hate the Lakers but I'm going to say this...I have new respect for Kobe Bryant. I watched his TNT commentary, unlike the other 3 he actually sounded intelligent and actually did a great job as a commentator. I think I know who was the real villian in LA--Shaq not Kobe.

Oh, and Omni thanks for a better looking logo, I'll just jack it from you since you seem to be a sore loser enough to post that animated gif. 👍

Well, yes, I like Shaq for who is mostly off the court. He was ok by my standards, but the man is just an aggressive ape on the court.

But yes, we hurt his pride alright. 5 points in a game...He can only bring that upon himself because he would have had more if he could free throw.

No team can get passed the spurs, suns and up 2-0 on the heat by "sneaking" by. Avery just gave Dallas something Nelson never could; a defense. Plus has anyone even noticed the team play by Dallas? I havent seen a team all season as in sync as Dallas is with each other right now. They're winning because they have no "selfish" players, well, plus their really great depth and defense.

You Dallas fans make some good points, but it's still far from over. The way some of you and various other Mavericks fans are talking, you'd think Dallas has already won back to back titles. But look, the fact is that this is the Finals and nothing is ever easy. Both teams are really great and i'm glad this series has turned out as it has, apart from the Heat's few struggles.

The fact remains, however, that the Heat are not out of this yet. The "brilliant defense" some people say has been "shutting down" the Heat is not that big a deal. The Heat have still shot above 40% from the field in both games, and above 40% from the 3-point line in Game 2. If Shaq shoots above 50% from the free throw line in a game, the Heat will win it; that has pretty much been the case so far.

The Heat have yet to play to their full potential, even Wade who has been struggling from the free throw line. Dallas meanwhile has been their same old shoot-the-lights-out selves. Yeat the Heat still hang in there, IMO.

The next 3 games are in Miami, and the Heat are an excellent home team. The fact that 90% of teams up 2-0 have won the Finals is not a factor. Supposedly the Heat were doomed to lose to the Pistons because of factors like that. Every game and every series is different.

And finally, i believe the Mavericks should be very afraid going into Miami today. Shaq has had a game about as good in the past 2 games about as good as our rookie, undrafted center Earl Barron had during the regular season. Yet the Mavericks have only won the first 2 games by 10 and 14. Don't you realize that in Game 1 if the Heat had hit 11 more free throws, they would have won? That in Game 2 if Shaq had a sub-par night for him (about 16 points and 2 blocked shots) the Heat would have won that game as well? And don't talk to me about defense, because Shaq has been getting good looks and foul shots have nothing to do with defense.

Yeah, 2-0 lead isn't anything special. That's what Dallas was expected to do. As hard as that seemed, Dallas had to win those first two games. But if you turn that around, now the pressure is on Miami. Now, it is their turn to protect the home court. Dallas can lose all three games in Miami, and still come back to win just two home games.

As for the defense on Shaq, I have to disagree with you. Dallas' double team, other than Dampier isn't that special, but Shaq, maybe with his older age, can't beat it. I think the defense on Shaq's been pretty effective.

One little thing on the game two, too. Dallas won by 14, but not really. Going into the 4th quarter in that game, Dallas was up by 24(I think). You could almost say that's how much Dallas won by. I didn't even watch the third quarter, because the game was pretty much over at that point. I'm sure it looked like Miami was going to at least attempt to catch up to the Mavs at one point in that quarter, but all it was, was a extended "garbage time"*.

*For those not familiar with that one. Garbage time is at the end of the game, when the winning team is up by such a large margin, that they just play thru to end the game. Winning team will just let the losing team do their thing.

Wow. I seriously can't watch my team play. Every time I start watching, they start bricking, and playing STUPID offense. Antoine Walker was WIDE OPEN on the three, and he STILL passed it to someone with coverage. How many brains does it take to summize that you should take your time and shoot the damn 3?

That Heat player who was injured, Haslem, is said to be hurting when he raises his arms.

The commetator also says Wade is holding his leg.

You are assuming that Walker has a brain. :D Walker would be a good ball player, if basketball was a one-on-one sport. Just to let you know, I'm not dogging on the Miami, or their fans. I've hated the way Walker plays, since his days with Boston.

My god, have the Heat been infected with a Free Throw virus? They've been missing them, guy after guy.

Anyways, 66 -64 Mavs.:dopey:
I may be wrong, but it looks like the Mavs are beginning another breakaway.

And Shaq, again, misses his free throws....

OH MY GOD, Gary Payton is a moron. He too had a WIDE OPEN 3-point shot, but he ran underneath the basket and got a turnover like a total noob.

Walker is SUCH a noob. They need to sub that asshole. NOBODY is making shots, and I honestly don't know what the hell the problem is. Walker and Payton are just standing there like idiots on boths sides of the court. I'm sorry, but, Payton, you're NOT getting a ring if you're just along for the ride. Damn moochers.

I wish I was getting paid millions and millions of dollars to shoot bricks on ABC.

Oh, god. Don't get me started on Payton. I used to hate him because of how good he was, but these days, for bandwagoning on the teams like the Shaq-lead Lakers and now the Heat. 👎

I'm watching the game right now and wondering where Miami's rebounding went? In the first half, they were bodying, blocking out Mavs players for rebounds. Now, it has totally reversed!

That's because they had walker and payton on the court at the same time. They're just fathead lazy bums. Lamar Odom played better than the two of them combined.

edit: Did you guys see that Posey 3-pt. play? THAT'S how we have to play ball. That guy is dope. Screw Walker.

Like I said, this is turning into a repeat of Game 1 and 2. Heat start off very well, and in the 3rd Qtr, Dallas turns it around. But it's not over yet. 91-84 Dallas.

Wade is really awesome. But I can't believe the Dallas defense is still leaving the lanes open for him. Granted, it's easier said than done, but I'm seeing a lot of mistake by Mav's defense right now.

Mmmm, Mmm, Mmmm!!! Smells Like Detroit!!!!!

94-93.

YEAH PAYTON, THAT'S HOW YOU PLAY!

YEAH!!!!!!! HEAT WIN! HEAT WIN!!!!!!!!

DOWN with the Mavericks!!!!!

If Wade had missed that block, they would have been screwed.

Either way, we're still up by 1. Next game, we just got to start that breakaway earlier and keep the defense up.

I wonder if there's going to be a new era of Dirks coming into the NBA. Dirk plays JUST like my uncle did, though my uncle was never pro.

If enjoy playing basketball, it's fun to compare yourself and friends to NBA players. I used to play with a buddy, who plays just like Dirk. He is about 6' 4", so he is taller than most of us, like Dirk. Same type offensive game. Even looks like him, but a lot streakier(who isn't). I get compared to Manu Ginobili sometimes, which I'm very glad about. I'm more like Tony Parker though. A lot of speed(32year old playing kids in teens to 20's!), but lacking toughness.

Yeah, i play a lot like Walker. :scared:

Except i'm more of a pass-first player because i tend to crack under any sort of defense.

I have a friend who loves to take crazy shots like Wade.

Yeah, my uncle is like 6'2 or '3 and really big and he is/was a shooting ace. I don't think I've ever seen him miss a 3. Dirk has his same shot style and everything.

I'm more of a Shaq, to be honest. I suck at dribbling like a guard ( ), and I'm good at paint-distance and with layups and at feeding the ball all over the court, but I can't free throw to save my life.

Anyway, if the Heat can play with vision and awareness, they'll continue winning. If you notice, all the huge plays that get us in the lead are when people driving to the paint actually look back and feed the perimeter. The plays which ended in disaster were all done with blind haste. Walker, especially, and sometimes Payton, played like they were sharing the same goal with the Heat instead of playing with the Heat.

Good job to Miami for taking advantage of a complete collapse by Dallas. Thing is, it took Miami's BEST game to win--and they won by a staggering 2 points. Its not the Dallas fans that should be worried trust me. Its clear that Dallas had the series won in their minds and wanted to ride the 13 (14?) point lead the last 6 minutes. I'm not going to blame the refs even though they didn't call a fair game, I'm putting the blame squarely on the Mavs for blowing it. And what the **** kind of last play is that to call? I wouldn't of felt as bad if Avery drew up a NORMAL last second shot. Give me anything other than a stupid lob pass. Oh and big ups to Shaq for hitting his FTs, it took alot of guts to still shoot like ass and get the basketball gods to allow him to get the ball into the cylinder. He has the ugliest shooting form I've ever seen. I can out shoot him from 6ft-30ft on the basketball court all day.

Having said all that, everyone here knows that after a bad loss Avery kicks the Maverick's asses and they always come out and open up a can of whoopass the next game. I'm excited about game 4, it's going to be very ugly for Miami on Thursday. I like the odds on the Mavs winning Thursday.

On that last play: Alley hoop does work sometimes. It's not a bad play, but like I said, with the shooters Dallas has, I would have gone for the win with a three pointer. It looked like Miami anticipated an alley hoop attempt, didn't they?

That's a play that I'd NEVER guess Dallas running...EVER. Avery doesn't even like lob passes during the game. It's not high percentage enough for his tastes. That's why you don't see more Stack alleyoop dunks. It makes me sick the way we just literally stopped playing at the 6 minute mark. :grumpy:
