On that last play: Alley hoop does work sometimes. It's not a bad play, but like I said, with the shooters Dallas has, I would have gone for the win with a three pointer. It looked like Miami anticipated an alley hoop attempt, didn't they?
I agree, I think they should've shot a three. The philosophy usually is, down by 2 on the road, you go for the win to avoid overtime. On your home court you play for overtime. I don't like that last second call either.

You could have called the 4th quarter a collapse, or you could have called it a Miami comeback after their 3rd quarter beating. I think you're being biased JCE, but that's not surprising or bad in any way. Whatever.

Of course it's bad. If you're biased against Miami, you are SO bad.

Oh i thought you liked the Mavericks because your avatar only shows the "You suck" after the Heat logo comes on.

No, it should be sending the message, "Dallas Mavericks, YOU SUCK!" and the heat logo is there because the heat will win, and are the justification for the mav's suck.

So true. I never even thought about that. 👍 Usually, I decide if a team should force O/T depending on your team's momentum. If your team is the one that's doing the pushing, then yes. If not, go for the win.

JCE is definitely biased. That rat ba$tard. :D j/k I wanna see fans from both sides bring in more biase and smack talk to support your team. I think it's great. 👍

Oh wow I'm biased for my home team. Wow, I'm basied towards my home team? *gasp* Even the obviously biased (towards Miami) sports broadcasters said it was a huge collaspe by Dallas. I'll be back in about 3 hours when it's Dallas 3-1. kthx 👍

I can't even watch this. The Mavs need to get a kick in the a**. Their defense is just sucking right now.
And wtf! We had like 4 rebounds on at 1 time, and we still didn't put the ball in. They're just rushing too much.

Avery needs to smack someone. Hopefully, Dirk'll get warmed up.

You say JCE is biased yet you make silly fanboy-like comments.

I hope Avery knocks these guys out. Dallas is terrible tonight. Too many missed shots.
You can think I'm biased all you want. But Wade is the sneakiest sob. I saw Wade pull that sneaky move in the air in the 4Qtr. And what's with these refs? Look, I don't follow the NBA a lot, but I know those are some bull**** calls on Dallas, (and some on Miami). I see a lot of those that are simple accidents, or guys getting a foul because they were run into.

And the commentators...can suck it. I see all these Heat Player backgrounds. Where's Dallas? I've only seen Dirk. The only thing they seemed to talk about for Dallas was their let downs.

Highlight of the game: Stackhouse owning the **** out of Shaq. I love how everything thinks Shaq's still something special. Wade is much better than Shaq, yet everyone refers to Heat as "Shaq and the Heat".

No worries, though. I'm going to the AA Center for Game 6. I'm going to be there for my boys.

Me and two other coworkers bet a soda on how long the series will be. One of them said Dallas in a sweep, he lost. Other one said Dallas in five, so he lost. Now Dallas needs to win in six.... for me. :D

Shaq is a has-been. Even in his prime, the "help" he used to receive from the officials used to make me sick. He can lower his shoulder into a center half his size, knock him down, and it's a defensive foul. That little center bumps Shaq at the other end, Shaq not even feeling it, offensive foul on the other center. HE IS THE MOST OVERRATED CENTER I KNOW. If NBA officials called the games like they were supposed to, Shaq would have fouled out by the 2nd, 3rd quarter in many of the games he played. Too bad for Heat, he doesn't get that kind of special treatment anymore. :D Gotta love NBA officiating. Stuff like, "letting them play", "make-up call", "super star treatment", "home court advantage" that affects the way referees make calls, they make me sick. Another thing they do that I don't like. There is no name for it, but on the last play, they swallow the flippin' whistle! They refuse to call foul on the last play! What the hell is that? It's those B.S. unwritten rules that bugs me to no end. Wow, that's a pretty long whining from me. :dopey:

I for one am done. Congratulations to Miami for winning the NBA Title. I waited over 20 years to watch Dallas pull one of the biggest choke jobs ever. I'm not even going to watch this on TV anymore, and someone I know has connections and I along with some friends WERE going to goto Games 6 & 7 but I'm not now. I just can't stand all these STUPID decisions in crunch time. Like I have said the last 5 years in the playoffs--I hope they lose this series to teach them a valuable lesson for next year. You'd think Dallas would of learned this lesson in San Antonio when they had the Spurs on the ropes the sat back and watched them get back into the series. The difference here folks is San Antonio is a good team and Miami is has good individules.

I'm going to pull a Barkley and say this, the refs this year have been TERRIBLE for EVERYONE. I have not seen them call a GOOD game for ANYONE--and I've watched every playoff game that was broadcasted here in Dallas. They missed call after call on both Miami and Dallas in this game. It gets to the point that when they KNOW they missed a call they try and make up for it on the other end and therefore that is another bad call.

Oh and I have a special message for the Mavs...

STOP
TAKING
****ING
JUMPSHOTS
IN
THE
FOURTH
QUARTER

and or...

STOP
SETTLING
FOR
JUMPSHOTS
PERIOD!

I am SICK of them settling for jumpshots...especially when they don't have the rhythm. Its basketball 101, if you don't have your shooting rhythm DRIVE TO THE BASKET TO DRAW A FOUL AND THEN PROCEED TO TAKE FREETHROWS. I just don't understand how they can just start reverting back to the 2003 Mavs and abandon what got them this far.

I'm hoarse for cussing out the Mavs so if you'll excuse me I'll go back to yelling at them while I read the boxscore.

P.S. McLaren incase you didn't honestly know the entire non-D/FW media is for the Mavericks opponents. I wouldn't be surprised if David Stern had something to do with it through encouragement...he wants the likes of D-Wade & LeBron instead of Euro born players to succeed.

GOD I just want to break something.

Mavs fans are not happy in AA's Center in Dallas. Kelly is an avid Mavs fan and went to see the Game at the Center. She said everybody left disgusted.:indiff:

But where are these reports of this all being setup coming from?! I've heard it from quite a few people I've talked to here and called 'em crazy. They say everyone's tieing up and losing to rake in those ticket sales for the next games.

I can't even believe that...the game was a let down though.
The Mavs had their shots dead on in the beginning but kept bouncing out. I think that caused some let down in the Mavs.:indiff:

Calm down, JCE. It's a long series, and Dallas is still leading. In a win and loss column, they are tied, but Dallas still edges Miami with the home court advantage. I'm not worried about Dallas at all. They are the better team, and Avery is a better coach than Riley at this point. Support your team, JCE. No team is perfect.

P.S. Media's East Coast biase is nothing new. My favorite team as some of you know is the Portland Trail Blazers. Media either don't pay attention to us, or trashes us. We just grow thicker skin. ;)

I'm not saying Stern or the NBA is fixing the game(s) or series...I just think Stern and the NBA are quicker to promote US born players as opposed to non-Americans.

Riley is an observer more than a coach at this point. Look who he has on his roster...me me me I I I players. I will not calm down, this disgusts me. I would of rather lost to Memphis then watch this bull****.

I'm not saying you did. I've just been hearing this from some other crazys here.

And the 2nd part, I WHOLE HEARTEDLY AGREE.
It's always about Wade or Shaq.

Shaq is played out. The man continues to think he's an idol, even though Stackhouse knocked the **** out of him.
Look at Dallas, you don't really hear alot about just Dirk or Terry anymore. You hear a lot about everyone.
Wade is being overhyped, and I have no doubt he's a good player. But even the media admits he has his foul tactics, though they find it "cute."

JCE, if you ever watched the report after Game 3, they went to weather man who replied about the clouds.
"Like the Heat, they will go away."

I don't say this too often, but the weather man owned the Heat with that statement. Anyways, I do hope Dallas can win Game 5 cause if they do, I think they can finish the series with their home team in Game 6.

Think about it. If Dallas can win the next game after a very dissappointing one, the fans will come back, and will be able to cheer them for the next game. Crazy theory yes, but what I believe. Now they just need to do it.

The problem with that is they should of came back and won this game. They are beating themselves, they are settling for stupid ****. Give Miami credit for taking advantage of Dallas' act of choking. If Dallas regains it's way and wins game 5 then it will sway back in our favor...if we lose the series is over. Avery needs to put his foot up the asses of every player--I just can't think he's telling them to take jumpshots...I just can't see it.

Is it me, or do they just seem to rush to shoot to?

That's not just you. It's basically part of what I'm saying. When the Mavs are not having a good shooting first part of a quarter they resort to rushing shots and taking bad shots. We can get to the rim ANYTIME we want REGARDLESS of Shaq or Zo...PERIOD. We apparently choose not to...?! And I swear if Stack misses one more dunk I'm going to throw the remote at the TV screen.

Miami played excellent defense today. Dallas was forced into jump shots because the Heat played the Zone beautifully, and a brilliant game overall (aside from those several turnovers in the 4th when the Heat played a bit too hastily).

Hey i didn't say there was anything surprising or wrong with that. Would you please read my entire post before going off next time?

However, you are a little over-biased because it even blinds you sometimes, apparently. How can you think Dallas is the underdog here when they won 60 games in the regular season? The reason Miami is getting more coverage is because they have proved all the critics wrong, and have made a huge turnaround this postseason that even surprised the hell out of me. Some people said they were going to lose in the first round to the Bulls! Meanwhile Dallas has done just what everyone has expected them to do, apart from the maturing of Dirk's overall offensive game.

I didn't say they were underdogs, I'm saying the national media is biased against them. I think there is a difference. 👍

I didn't watch much of the game today, but if Miami were playing good zone, that makes sense. True, Dallas still should've taken a full-timeout and figured out the zone defense, but I still fail to see the reason for a panic. Series is 2-2. Now, it's best out of three. Two out of those three games are in Dallas. I'd feel real good about that, if I were a Mavs fan.

There is no bias. The Heat just have way more at stake.

True Gian, but you can't tell me that the Media doesn't go a bit overboard with it. I mean, when I see those events about kids, they seem to only relate to Miami.

Maybe they had one about a Mavs player, but I never saw it.

You say JCE is biased yet you make silly fanboy-like comments.

HOW IRONIC! :P

Anyway, yeah, the mavs got pretty much owned. Like I said, Heat will win if they play a decent game. The first two they played like crap, but if they just play a decent game they'll always come out on top.

I don't know why you guys are getting ulcers and stuff (you guys seem to be more pissed off than I was last thursday  ) when it was long known that the Heat would win anyway.

edit: By the way, south florida's attitude towards our basketball team is very much NOT "shaq and the heat." Our Heat are treated somewhat like a Knights of The Round Table ordeal, you know? Wade is King Arthur, and Shaq is Lancelot, but they all would'nt be squat without eachother. Also, Pat Riley is Merlin.

edit again: Hey guys, look:

Dante Culpepper (new dolphins QB) had a better seat than Mark Cuban.

Also, I'd be suprised if Stackhouse isn't suspended for the next game or two.

Quote of the Finals;

{O'Neal didn't have a problem with Stackhouse's blindside.

"My daughters tackle me harder when I come home," he said. "I'm one of the last players from the old school, you just have to take a hard foul like that and keep on moving. It actually felt pretty good to get hit like that. Thank you, Jerry. Appreciate it."
}

Now that is funny!

Go HEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If a special on what the players looked like when they were babies is what's bothering you, i highly suggesting you stop watching professional sports. :P

You obviously didn't see any then.

They were show casing how the Heat players were "perfect" people helping children with problems. How the Heat players "Magically" helped them become better.

Oh the NBA Cares thing? They show that for every team. Again, the home team gets more coverage that's how it always has been.

In any case, i don't think you and JCE should be so worried about it. Just focus on how your team does and how they finish the series, not over the kind of coverage they get. In the end, none of that really matters (not to say helping your community is bad; i think you know what i mean to say).
