Shaq's full of it, he got a good shot from Stack--infact if DWade wasn't next to him holding him he would of tried to pick a fight with Stack. Shaq's the baby here, I bet he called Stern asking for Stack's suspension (speculation and humor intended). The NBA is full of ****, a player can GRAB ANOTHER PLAYERS NUTS AND PULL BUT NOT GET A SUSPENSION BUT A PLAYER DOES A HARD PLAYOFF FOUL AND GETS A SUSPENSION? Give me a break, the NBA is full of p*ssies now...10-12 years ago that wouldn't of even been a flagrant foul. The NBA is turning soft like the NFL.

And no the coverage never favors Dallas even when the games are IN Dallas. I think Jerry Jones has permanently made America hate Dallas teams by the way he's acted since he bought the Cowboys. While I don't directly care so much about the coverage what I do care about is objectivity and fairness. I'm going to stat listening to ESPN radio with the TV muted.

Supposedly, the Heat's Clock was wrong, and was off by 4 seconds. Not to good for the Mavs. either way, but still.
News here has reported 20 seconds too early.

And Miami can't seem to take competition. Miami officials demanded a rented yacht with a large Go Mavs sign remove the sign outside the AA center. When it was moved to the other side, Miami officials threatened to arrest the Mavs fans. The officials stated the flag would cause a riot.

A riot? Thousands of fans against at most 20 Mavs fans a riot? Miami is so full of themselves to try and pull that bull****.

And other news, Stackhouse has been suspended. Doesn't matter to me that much because Shaq says his daughters tackle him harder. No crap Shaq. That's a tackle. What Stackhouse did was knock your a** over by the side.

OK, whoever is hating on Shaq really needs to stop. Without Shaq, Miami doesn't come anywhere near the NBA Finals. Not as good as he once was? Obviously. Still not an impact player? Give me a break. He's a big reason why Miami is where they are. And, he's hilarious. I love his post-game interviews. And if you don't call what Stackhouse did a flagrant foul, what do you call a flagrant foul? Shaq's going up for the dunk, and Stackhouse body-checks him. I agree he should've hard fouled him, but it's always a dangerous play to knock somebody off balance like that when they're in the air. I'm not sure if it was more dangerous to Shaq or the camera-men that were on the sideline hah, they almost got crushed. :scared:

Anyway, Miami played great, Dirk Nowitzki played terrible. Alonzo Mourning is still a defensive monster. Sometimes. James Posey is playing great defense, and contributed on offense last night as well. No one on Dallas can stop Wade from getting to the hoop whenever he wants, and it's obviously posing a real problem for the Mavs. Especially if Wade gets his jump shot going like he did yesterday. He's virtually unstoppable if he has both going. Dallas is going to need someone to step up on offense in Game 5, because that was an absolutely terrible shooting performance last night.

Apparently you are too young to know what the NBA used to be like. Let me enlighten you. Players like Charles Oakley, Charles Barkley, Bill Laimbeer, and etc did the same foul Stackhouse did more than once per game. I call a flagrant foul what happend to the Clippers player when that idiot grabs his nuts. I call the Raja Bell throwdown of Kobe by his neck a flagrant foul. I DO NOT call what Posey did to the Bulls player a fragrant. I DO NOT call what Stack did a flagrant. If Stack would of got under him and or went for his feet or just clothes-lined him while he was in the air that would of been a flagrant foul to me. I've watched the NBA evolve into this soft sport just like the NFL is now a soft sport. I'm disgusted that the NBA seriously isn't consistant with it's suspensions. Either suspend everyone for "unneccessary contact" or suspend no one. Make up your damn minds.

So I hereby give the Mavs the duty to grab every Heat player by their jersey or nuts or anything they can get their hands on and do what you please. Since the NBA doesn't see grabbing suspension material knock your self out. If this happend to Stack or Dirk on the reverse I WOULD NOT be calling for a suspension. It's how the NBA should be played, it's called a hard foul.

P.S. Oh and how many times do you see Shaq elbow, forearm, or plain shove a player during a game? Too many to count, infact I didn't even care when Shaq purposely went for Stack's face/nose with his forearm and caused Stack's nose to bleed. I chalk that up to playoff hard basketball.

P.P.S. The Mavs are playing against the Heat, refs, and now the NBA league office? Game over Dallas. [/joke]

I for one am done. Congratulations to Miami for winning the NBA Title. I waited over 20 years to watch Dallas pull one of the biggest choke jobs ever.

You obviously havent been watching them for the last 20 years. This game really got me over the top. I was purely pissed last night. But im also kind of happy because now we have a series. Im just kind of dissapointed with all the media hype of a dallas sweep.

So, Stack is suspended? How many games? I wish I caught this play now..... From what I understand, Shaq was going for a shot? Did Stack make a play at the ball? or was he just trying to get Shaq?

I can't judge it without more info.....

.

Shaq was going for a lay-up, he slowed down before he jumped, stackhouse jumped into him. it was a hard foul but i dont think it was on purpose or worthy of a suspension. He's suspended for game 5

You really can't be serious. Pretty much a 3 on 0 for the Heat, Jason Williams has the ball and slows for a second to drop it off to Shaq. Shaq goes up for a dunk, and Stackhouse completely body checks him from the side. No play on the ball at all. Definitely a flagrant foul in my opinion, but then again apparently I'm too young to know what's a flagrant and what isn't. I agree with the flagrant call, I think the suspension may be a bit harsh. Tough call in my eyes.

Well it was bad but i just dont think it was worth a suspension. Look at the elbows shaq throws. They let some go and some they dont.

Yeah, I don't know about the suspension either. Actually, he definitely should've not been suspended. I could see Stack getting suspended if Shaq had gotten hurt, but nothing really came out of it. Shaq and Stackhouse even got together after the foul just to show that it was over. Hopefully the suspension doesn't hurt Dallas too much for Game 5.

It doesn't matter. We're screwed because not only are we playing against the Heat, but the refs, seriously.

I actually hope the refs on Dallas' court catch the Heat on some of their bs hits. Shaq just swings his big arms and knows it can be excuse for hitting a player.

And if I see a Heat flag, maybe I'll report it to Dallas officials. If we can't hang a flag there, tell them to get the hell out of Dallas with their's.

Prove it. I'm 26 and my first game I went to was at Reunion Arena and that was in 1985, that is 20+ years right there--let me do the math for you incase you don't understand. 2006 - 1985 = 21 years

If you don't have anything better then that don't bother replying.

Wow i was going sarcastically with my comment, i wasnt really calling you a liar for saying you've watched them 20 years. didnt mean for you to take it with such offense. All i mean is ive seen them choke many times before.

My oppologies then, I'm in grumpy defensive mode/mood. [/grumpy] I'll edit my post.

Oh and could a mod please remove my negative rep from SS69 and make it a positive for his trouble dealing with my grumpiness. ~_~

That always, always happens. Anyone will tell you that you have to suck it up, stop complaining, and play through it. They're human and you have to live with that.

OMG! We were so close! 100-101!

I'm very proud of my team even if we're down by 1. We got our act together and almost took a 3rd win. However, this is it. Mavs Home. We got to win. We've got the home team.:dopey:

Unforunately, I feel this game was won by us had it not been for the calls called on us by those ridiculous refs. Funny how we led by 10, and the calls started coming. B*stards.

Boy, that was a frustrating game. And there goes my prediction. I feel sorry for Dallas. I thought the whistles blew in favor of Miami tonight. Mavs played good enought to win, but still lost.

How about that last timeout called by Howard? I'm sure we were all thinking about Chris Webber on that one. :D Wade made the first free throw, I'm thiking, at least Mavs can advance the ball with the one remaining timeout....... Then the confusion. Timeout called, Avery screaming. That must've been heartbreaking to Dallas fans. :ouch:

Ok that's it, I'm now 100% convinced the NBA and it's officials have already decided the outcome. It is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for a professional championship game to be called this lopsided. Did the refs forget the Walker moving screen right before D Wade's last shot? I'm sorry, I'm definately calling foul here. All I ask is fairness and objectivity--there is none. If the calls favor the home team then it better favor Dallas in Dallas these next two games or it will be even more crystal clear who the NBA wants to win. 25 to 49 free throw differential--that's absurd. I've now lost faith in all professional sports. It's all a big joke...

Oh and I may be a sore loser but you know what just look at the numbers...the numbers don't lie. Miami should treat the NBA officials and the league office employees to a nice dinner because they obviously deserve thanks for this oppoertunity.

It's all because the NBA wants to get back at Cuban. Cuban's reported to be badtalking the NBA. So, how else can they get back at them....

What a Bull**** Series, now that I've seen the truth.

I love how everything ABC is broadcasting is 95% Miami and 5% Dallas. Such a class organization right there. If the NBA thought Cuban was badmouthing them now? Just wait, if Dallas loses the series you just wait what he's going to say. Infact, I bet he will still stick it to them when/if we win.

Boy, you guys don't watch much NBA, do ya? Sometimes, I feel like shooting myself after watching NBA Refereeing. I don't know about conspiracy theories, but sometimes, it does seem that way. Tonight's game was nothing. NBA referees are that bad, almost every night.

Basketball is a hard sport to officiate, since there are so many things that could be considered a foul or violation. That's no excuse though. If current officiating system isn't working, then they need to try something else.

P.S. I don't watch NCAA ball, so I don't know this for sure, but people who watches college ball tells me that those NBA officiating B.S. does not happen in NCAA games. And when I think back, few NCAA games that I did watch, I don't remember disagreeing any calls either.........

<--- Avatar, folks.

Did you guys see Dirk throwing a scheiss-kreig after the match on the way back to the locker room? I feel bad for the chair, man. Bigol' 5 foot leg smashing that bish.

Actually my friend I believe that is my problem. While I do agree that the officiating is somewhat lopsided on just about every game...the problem is the degree of lopsidedness (is that a word?). When it's this lopsided it just can't be ignored or dismissed. I don't watch the NCAA because I just can't stand it...with exception to college football I just can't stand watching college sports.

I've seen, and been to so many games that refs CLEARLY paced the game with the calls. Sometimes, I just throw my hands up. When they call everything for one team, but not for another, what can you do? Tonight, we saw little bit of that. Was it third quarter, when Harris got knocked down couple of times on a drive, but no calls, while Miami got all theirs on the other end? I've seen them do that, pretty much for the entire game, many, many times.

Too bad you don't see this in any other sports. Golf, baseball, (American)football, tennis, etc. You do hear about it in soccer/football, plus the size of the strike zone sometimes change in baseball, but I think that's about it. Again, basketball is not a easy sport to call, but they definitely need some improvement in the officiating.

P.S. I can't stand college sports either. My team's the Blazers. They are the only reason why I'm so into NBA. I love the sport, but I hate the league.

Screw numbers, the W is what counts. It's nobody's fault that the Mavs have had no hope of stopping D-Wade, it's nobody's fault that Howard made that huge mistake, it's nobody's fault that the Haslem-Posey tandem are the perfect Nowitzki stoppers, and it's nobody's fault the Mavs can't seem to hold on to a lead in the Heat's building.

And you keep talking about class, when the Mavs did Hack-a-Shaq like four times. Please.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with hacking Shaq. The man has nobody to blame but himself for being a poor free throw shooter. It's part of the game, just like Posey's flops. ;)

I agree with most of your takes though. Nowitzki has been slowed in this series. Tonight, Mavs could have won, but Wade....... you can slow him down(for a little while), but he can not be stopped. You gotta give credit where it's due. 👍

I feel so bad for Howard. I hope he bounce back from this. If I was a Mavericks fan in the stand in the next game, I would give him a standing ovation, just to show forgiveness and support.

Edit:
I think it's getting bit hostile in here, guys. Trash talk's part of basketball, but it should be used with some sense of humor.
