I hate to say but sods law it'll be Hamilton when he's pushing it and just that single error slips in...(yes you can all come and yell at me if it happens..lol)

Seen that part with Sutil flying? Almost funny. I wonder if that wing didn't suffer any damage, it seemed very shakey after the jump. Shouldn't these things be stable and not flex?

Hopes of watching the actual race are now zero, after having scanned every little channel from the 999 ones the cable-thingy is able to receive. None broadcast it apart from the expensive, crappy football-based paychannel which will not even show the whole race but, you guessed it, switch bad to football mid-race.

there is only champion in the grid and thats Alonso , so logicaly he should be the one to hit it ... I serioulsy can see Hamilton locking up on that turn smacking the wall , I hope he doesn't though he deservs to win a race

I wouldnt mind a lovely 15 car pileup like at spa a few years back, bviously I dont wish any drivers injury but we all love crashes in which no one is hurt!

:D

well I do anyway :nervous:

In what way? The kind of flex which, I reckon, is forbidden, is when aero-forces (or mechanical, if you really want to cheat) at speed pull down the spoiler (or parts of it), increasing downforce.
In this case, the shock that went through the car made the whole spoiler flex and vibrate...

its the type of flex beacue the front wing is loose lol , he hit the first and 2nd kerb hard so it must have damaged the front wing :)

Flexi aero does not increase downforce. When a wing flexes less drag (and downforce) is generated.

I thought the lower the wing, the more effective it becomes by limiting air beneath the body?

Though, it does make sense that it's generally less effective then - after all, it flexes in the direction where the forces are less...

EDIT: Re-scanned the cable-device, and turns out german RTL is free - and broadcasting live. And German commentary, which I understand :D

Ah wow, James Allen is on the ball today. He spent a full 30 seconds telling us how Alonso was ahead of Massa, while on the screen Massa was busy driving away from Alonso after Alonso went too deep into turn 1 (again.)

"Oh wait, he's just done that! Alonso has let Massa through!"

:ouch:

I'm glad it wasn't just me shouting at the telly there.

Wow! That has to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, crash I have ever seen since I started watching Formula 1. I have never seen a car so thoroughly destroyed. His head was seriously bouncing back and forth from side to side there before his car came to a stop. I truly hope Robert Kubica is okay.

The only part that was left was what immediately encases the driver, which I guess is a testament to how strong these cars are. But way too similar to Gilles Villeneuve's crash.

That made me shiver.

So fast, and the car...wow.

Hopefully he's alright, but that looked extremely nasty.
