Strange. I watched the whole race coverage on Speed, and never heard them mention anything about Davidson hitting a marmot... although they did comment on how the Super Aguri crew were caught off gaurd when he did pull in to the pits. It was rather sureal seeing his car parked on pit lane and not a single crewman in sight!

They screwed up Sato's pit stop as well with the premature lifting of the lolipop.



If he really did hit a marmot, at least he should be grateful it didn't cause a crash, as that has also happened before.

I watched the race on RTL (German channel), and Anthony had that stop during commercial-break. And they were too busy chatting about Heidfeld, Hamilton and Wurz to pay attention to others.

I'll re-watch it on tape from the ITV coverage... see if I can spot it...marmots and beavers and badgers, oh my...(will any of these sites agree on what he hit...)


HA! on a side note, most of the replay videos of Kubicas crash (including ITV's coverage...) have been taken down due to a copy right claim by NetResult...
