But we have the same CSP and PURE versions installed. I'm on triple screen setup though, could it be a VR thing ?
I don't have the black screens issue either.
I have triples and use Quest 3 for VR. I don’t have netting rendered in my triples at all in cockpit view but in my VR one eye only. 😂 I have the same CSP as you guys. Newest updates from both Ilja and Peter B.

I NEED someone to do my helmet!! :bowdown:

for Velo's Noble M600 Carbon Sport found recently in the garage , to make the carbon look nicer add this in extension ini:

;improve carbon
[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE = 1
MATERIALS = carpaint, mirror_carbon
PROP_... = ksAmbient, 0.225
PROP_... = ksDiffuse, 0.25
PROP_... = ksSpecular, 0.5
PROP_... = ksSpecularEXP, 150
PROP_... = fresnelMaxLevel, 0.5
PROP_... = fresnelEXP, 5
PROP_... = fresnelC, 0.067
PROP_... = useDetail, 1
PROP_... = detailUVMultiplier, 55
PROP_... = detailNormalBlend, .05
PROP_... = extColoredSpecular, -0.9
PROP_... = extClearCoatIOR, 1
PROP_... = extClearCoatIntensity, 1
;PROP_... = extClearCoatTint, "0, 0, 0"
PROP_... = extClearCoatThickness, 1.1

For patching some holes I tried this :
;plug some holes in the model
[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
MESHES = BODY, Cabin
CULL_MODE = DOUBLESIDED

But this does not work apparently... anyone able to fix?

Yes it’s mad. Been testing all afternoon trying different versions of CSP and pure but even after choosing older CSP and Pure the problem is still there with webbing and dark trackside screens. I’ve also lost FPS by 5 to 10 frames. It’s like something has changed the overall settings some how. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Anyone else think it was a little odd that the new Hilton Garden Inn Hotel and link bridge weren't included in the recent RSS 2020s Silverstone track update?
I kind of assumed that this was the whole point of the update.
Pyyer even included it in one of his famously flickering z-fighting adboards galore track extensions.

We could ask John777 on Discord, but he doesnt really like being questioned/criticized about his work

Try with

[SIDE_NET_...]
MESHES = net mesh
TESSELATION = 0
CULL_MODE = NONE
Thanks, but the problem with this is, object inspector won't find the safety webbing mesh, even when I can get it to appear with one eye closed.

The old Silverstone brand identity was used for the flags and gantry boards too. The new logo can be seen in that image I posted above.

Maybe this 2020s update is for 2020-23, and a 2024+ update (with the hotel, bridge and new branding) will come later?
I have done a quick skin for this track to update the branding and (the main reason) get rid of all the Assetto Corsa adboards, but it's a little complicated to install due to the way the new textures are loaded from a zip file.

Hello GTPlanet users! I am MPG (otherwise known as Mandolph666) and I started making cars for AC recently. Keep in mind these models are terrible in my opinion (at least for now, I will try and figure out how to import gt7 and sport models (unencrypted by the way) to blender without them looking like they were in a blender) (no pun intended) but here is a new years gift from me! It's the Citroen DS 4 '11 (FM4 Conversion) (WRONG STEERING WHEEL AND RIMS, rims and steering wheel taken from 101Creatives beautiful DS 3 Racing mod) View attachment 1416916
ACTK, please do NOT REUPLOAD THIS MOD WITH LODS AS IT IS CURRENTLY IN ALPHA PHASE AND NOT COMPLETED. THANK YOU.

(All credits go to their original creators: Turn10 (base model, rims and Steering wheel) Armgarage (EXT_CONFIG.ini file) MPG (base model conversion) StoffelWaffle (Converting rims and steering wheel) 101Creative (Some paints) (and most important of all, Citroen and DS Automobiles) (now on version 1.1, inaccurate rims an steering wheel changed to their correct counterparts) (Thanks to StoffelWaffle for making this mod a lot more accurate)

If you have such problem, always use CSP only at a first start of solving the problems.
Set "default" as weather style in weatherFX settings and you are save that Pure does not cause the problem.

You can always try to reset everything to default in CSP:
Reset CSP settings completely!
Goto /Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/ rename the "extension" folder to something different.
Restart CM. It will create a new "extension" folder. You can restore it later.
Select Pure as weather style again in CSP weatherFX settings.

You can also try to get a newer openvr api if you use OpenVR.
You must place the files in
\assettocorsa\system\x64 AND
\assettocorsa\system\x86

Did not get the point of this 2020-ish layout update, tried and binned it. Using pyyer´s extension is more than enough to cover the current layout and look.

The new bridge and hotel can be added to the RSS track from Pyyer's extension, but it's a little convoluted.

I get horrendous z-fighting with a lot of Pyyer's extensions because he places his new meshes directly on top of existing ones.
I'm guessing a combination of some CSP tick boxes somewhere makes this flickering a lot worse for some people than for others, because I can't believe Pyyer would release his extensions without noticing the strobing.
I isolated and hid the worst offenders at Silverstone, so if you suffer the same then add this to the individual layout's main config:
Code:
;hide z-fighting adboards on Pyyer's Silverstone extension. Add to individual layout main ext_config.ini
[MESH_ADJUSTMENT_...]
MESHES=Bridge02a, TowerBoards.001, Walls.212, Walls.136, Walls.158, Line275, Walls.198, Walls.214, Bridge03a, Walls.211_SUB0, Bridge05a
IS_RENDERABLE=0
You'll lose some of these new adboards and expose the original tyre walls and adboards behind, but at least you won't get a migraine.

If Pyyer is listening: please read up on z-fighting, what causes it and how to avoid it. :)

Edit: for some reason the video screens in Pyyer's extension appear normal with the latest CSP and Pure. All other tracks I've tested have extremely dark jumbotrons now. :confused:

Yeah...... Can't exactly do that either. They lock it down on their car instead of RARE which can be used by anyone
I don’t entirely know why your display would be reliant on RARE in the first place. Nothing RARE provides should be necessary.

Anyways, Extended Controls is definitely not locked down to VRC cars. It’s open for all developers to integrate into their cars. URD and RSS have already done so in some of their releases.

For anyone who's thinking of skipping the Lola T298 by childa because of it's huge size
(original 7z installer file - found here - is 905MB and the unpacked car folder 1.7GB ! )
I made a toned down version, reducing the size considerably without too much compromise.
- removed unneeded files , such as PSD files ,
- reduced size of the bodypaint_map file
- smaller dds file for the mirror colors (on some skins)
- compressed DDS files
- reused bodypaint.dds for the inner wing part
(which is a concession, as some things are then in mirror writing , but this will not be very noticeable)

My installer file is only 116MB and the unpacked car folder is 'only" 709MB instead of 1700MB
(and with compactor the car folder only takes 118MB on disk)

It is well worth it (even the 709MB) , it's an amazing mod imho!

Well it def makes for a great driving experience, i enjoyed it a lot.
Made a few immersive NeckFX sets for it, and an AI version using your toned down version.

Just hooking at the helmet discussion and still wondering why no chauvinistic French member is not involved here with the splendid French GPA F1 horseshoe helmets. Villeneuve, Peterson, Tambay, Peroni, Arnoux and lots of ( mostly French) drivers did use them by the end of the 70’s until the beginning of the 80’s.

https://images.app.goo.gl/1KrtMoDyLRQn9vMC8

I did own myself that type of helm and for that time the quick release horse shoe closing was great and as it also was a very quiet helmet, compared to Arai, Bell and other that uses a chin belt strap. Edit: I did own Nolan, NAVA and Kiwi, but the GPA was the best helmet I ever had.
The safety of releasing the helmet without damaging the neck splines after an accident, by this horse shoe was a unique feature, but later these helmets seems to have a dark side as they can open at a hard collision. Another point from my experience, I did once ride with a piece of clothing between the locking, unaware of this it was never fully closed, so the horseshoe closing is not failsafe.
Think right now nobody in official car and motorcycle racing scene are allowed using a strapless helmet, because of this.

BTW all an healthy and great 2025! :cheers:

Hi Peter. That’s great. I will follow your instructions and hopefully find out what is going on. Thanks for getting back to me.😎

Thanks, but the problem with this is, object inspector won't find the safety webbing mesh, even when I can get it to appear with one eye closed.
I had the same issue yesterday: I could see the net only on track, but I couldn't select it with object inspector.
Today after 9 hr sleep I could figured it out.
In "CM Showroom", go to "Car params" page and enable "seatbelt". Now you will see also the net and you can select it in "visual settings" page.

"GEO_INT_Net_LOD" is the mesh you are looking for

rare provided useful race telemetry data to show on the display, but we will try to strip that as it may not be that important anyway and remove rare from dependency.

As for extended controls didn't know. Will check and see about it
