Thanks for the link John.

I would like to add something I heard during the Homestead race.
The DP and GT cars will be returning to Lime Rock in 2010. I hope this is true.
It will be a much better weekend with more than just the KONI challenge cars.

Did any of you get to see "The Speed Report" this past weekend during the "Final Lap" segment? If so- envision this- a Ferrari-powered Daytona Prototype! I forgot what team wanted to go ahead with a Ferrari engine for a DP, but it would be interesting to hear one Ferrari at speed in a DP.

It also opens the door to wonder if anybody else will try out making engines for the Daytona Prototypes. I still wonder what a rotary Mazda engine would sound like in a DP. It probably wouldn't be as classic of a sound as the Mazda 787B.

I missed that episode, but I do remember that story about the Ferrari engine for a DP. Last I heard was during the race at Miami and they said its going smooth.

Technically, the door has already been open after last year when the VAG approached NASCAR for talks about entering Grand-am with one of its brands.

Rotary powered dp would = awesome!

Love the sound of the rx-8s. Gives me goosebumps when they're coming around the track. Cut right through the v8s and flat 6s.
