I believe neither the minolta nor the bmw will be able to get under 900, even without turbo, same with pescarolos, I'll be using the 787B then.

The 787B's probably the best car to use. I'll try to get one before the series but I may have to use my Minolta if I can't. Looking forward to racing with you.

P.S. Any ideas for a team name?

the minolta its pretty much even

OP updated with new rules and regs..please check.
Also, what about dividing ourselves into teams, and having a team championship aswell?

still need to wait for stats to come up.

also can someone volunteer to be a co-host incase im unavailable etc?

m8 i believe the bhp limit should be at 915 so a stock minolta can participate. 40 bhp difference among lemons cars doesnt have an impact at all. believe me.

What happens if my team mate doesn't show up, because of the times that he cant make it?

hopefully he will, if not we'll come to that if it happens, current ideas? possibly have a 'pool' of extra people that can make it at shirt notice

done

m8 if modification arent alowed in group c then the 787 b will have less than 800 bhp. fair? the 787 b with tree stage turbo can go to 875

As i have been paired with Pilot3122 in the Audi R10 then i will also use the same car. Team name to yet be decided but working on it.

Online race tonight for all Le Mans Prototype/ Grp C cars.

Will be on in my lobby/ lounge thing at 8.00PM GMT with a race beginning at 8.30PM GMT.

Track will be Laguna Seca (20 laps)

EDIT: standard 920bhp limit, no weight limit.

PM me, or add me on PSN lb1990 write in the invite 'Online LMP racing' if you haven't invited me already.

most of all have fun, will give us a chance to get to know eachother etc with some like minded drivers.!

epic race guys, i'll upload the replay.

but it did come to light that the group C's do have a significant advantage over the LMP's especially as online seems to have less grip than A spec. My 908 was around 0.8s slower than my toyota 88 and Over 20 laps, a player in an Audi R10 TDI ended up 1 lap behind, so perhaps more balancing is needed.

Epic race indeed. Perhaps Group C and LMP should be seperated or it should be limited to one or the other.

or we limit the group C's with further power restricitions, i.e, low rpm turbo only and see if that evens it up.

when you were on pole in your toyota i was about .2 seconds behind and that was with me absolutely on the edge. But then my toyota was a further .6 seconds ahead of that.

I know I am not a part of this series, but my experience with these cars is that:

Audi R10 is MUCH slower than all the others. No idea why, it just is, so you should abandon it or something, otherwise people will fall behind in this car.

A bhp limit of 975 would allow most cars to have equal power if adding turbos and others not having turbos (Sauber and MINOLTA with no turbo - Bentley and Audi R8 with turbo).

The 908 is not slower than the group C cars I think, just think the LMPs needs turbos due to their lesser power as stock.

I didn't have any upgrades on my minolta and it still overpowered the LMPs.

Like bombe32 said, its probably best to allow turbos on LMPs but not Group C.

You should organise a race at longer notice this time to see if we can get a fuller grid. Today was seriously fun but imagine that with 16 cars on the track!

I really struggled in the R10. I thought the reason i was so far behind was more to do with it being my first time in the car. Was lapping about 1:22:00. Messed up my pit stop too. Must have done something wrong because it drove straight through. Need more practice, or a different car.

Yeah mine stock was over 900 and nearly at te limit. We'll organise one for next week sometime, LMP's turbo to a set bhp limit (950?) and group c stock and see what happens. If the LMP's have too much of an advantage limit the LMP's to 930 or so. And keep doing that until we have an even grid.

When I tried the r10 offline I was doing about 1.13.xxx whilst my 908 was happily sitting at the 1.08.xxx to 1.09.2xx. So the r10 is the slower of the modern LMP's. Plus it doesnt help that online seems to have noticeable less grip, much more spinning tyres in low gears.
