With the big news today, its easy to forget theres a big game on now! Its Chelsea 1-0 Spurs...about 20 mins played...

Here is my actual dialogue for that goal...

"Good clearance, get the counter attack going"

"Foul! Oh, advantage, quick switch it to Bale"

"Why does Adebayor still have the ball?"

"Oh no, another attack wast- Oh"

That was a really good game of football, last nights game was good as well so the last two nights have made up for the boring day on Sunday!

Great result for Arsenal - it's all in our hands now.

I am probably lat eto the party, but although it was inevitable, I am still a bit shocked the Ferguson era is just about over! Moyes is a top class managerial talent - what he will do with Utd's resources :scared:.

I hope it doesnt mean the era of relegation battles for the Toffees though, in his absence...

You can't expect Moyes to walk in next season and win the Premiership, champions league or anything like that. The FA Cup or Carling cup would be a good target for him. I hope the back room staff at Utd see this. Managers today don't get the chance to settle at a club. Do you sign a player in the summer and then sell him at Christmas if he hasn't got the top spot in the scoring tally? No. People have to settle and it's no different with managers. Hopefully SAF will fight for whoever takes over to have a fair shot, at least 2 seasons. Anything less and we may as well be manager less cause nobody will walk in a do a treble in a first season.

To be honest i dont think he will win anything in his first season, let alone finish in the topp four. but if he stayes in for the 2nd season then i can see the F.A. cup and a top four finish easilyas m8h3r said he needs time to settle.

2-2, I think Chelsea were unlucky to not get all 3 points there.

ftfy.

Spurs had no good chances, we outplayed them considerably, but we got refballed again. Adebayor was about a yard offside when he got the assist. Ramires slipped at such a crucial time, and Mata missed a few chances too.

Maybe it's just that I like the ticky tacka way of football best because to me, Spurs had more chances and just looked more comfortable on the ball.

Were you watching the same game?, I think not as Chelsea were obviously the better team for most of the game.
That game aside, after Furguson announces his retirement now Rooney says he wants to leave. Rats leaving a sinking ship springs to mind!. Nani and Anderson also rumored to be on the way out

Rooney says? Or the papers says??? I think it's the latter.

Nani and Anderson though, they are both probably on their way out. Would like for Ando to stay though. A great player, just needs alot less injuries.

If it's Sir Alex's decision then I'm happy with it. Moyes has come so far with Everton and I think he is the right man to succeed Fergie. I think he will get a lot of support from Sir Alex and Sir Bobby.

Im very happy with that appointment! 👍

Hope he gets a fair chance

What an extraordinary 24 hours!! im just catching my breath!

I agree. Chelsea should have made more of their chances during the spells they were on top. The game was really open for long stretches though, and I could've easily seen Spurs nick a goal, especially with that brilliant chance from the freekick at the end.
That said, Chelsea showed some pretty woeful defending for the first goal, Ade walked it all the way up to the box and knocked it in with no pressure on him the whole time.

The irony of a Chelsea fan trying to have a go at any other team for changing managers, let alone United......

Nani/Anderson are free to go, been fringe players for awhile and neither has found the consistency to really be good enough. Rumors about Rooney have been flying around since the Real game, so it's not surprising. As long as we don't sell him domestically and we replace him (lots of rumors about Lewa/Falcao) then he can go too; he's been good, but he's hardly irreplaceable.

I would be sad to see a player like Rooney go of course i would, but if he wants to go then the club shouldnt stand in his way, hes more likely to go now Moyes will be the new manager as they had a falling out at Everton which lead to Rooney joining United...if he did leave we could get a lot of money for him (anything up to £50 mill id say!) and we could use the cash to get Lewandowski of Falcao and dont forget that we have three great strikers already at the club..

I dont think theres an 'if' about it, he wont stick around now Moyes will be in charge...and getting Ronaldo back is certainately an option...

Not having a go at the Mancs for changing managers, it's that as soon as SAF announced his retirement there were rumors of players leaving. I think SAF did an amazing job at MU and is arguably one of the best football managers ever and as a Chelsea fan I'll be glad to see the back of him!. I wish Moyes well in his new job but SAF will be a hard act to follow.
