Over here in NL it will be priced at (around) 33k euro. Which means it's priced roughly the same as an Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1750 TBi QV, Audi A3 2.0 TFSI, Citroën DS3 1.6 THP 200 Racing, Ford Focus 2.0 EcoBoost ST-2, Opel Astra GTC 1.6 Turbo Sport, Renault Mégane Coupé 2.0 16V Turbo 265 RS, Seat Leon 2.0 TSI FR, VW Golf 2.0 TSI GTI or maybe a Volvo C30 2.4i R-Design.

:drool: That car is so beautiful! It makes the Ferrari 250 California look ugly. The Veloster is sharp looking, but not pretty.

So anyone else drive the turbo veloster? My thoughts...extremely torquey in low-mid which is good, just wish there was more rev, also the handling is eons better then base...but that's not saying much. all in all, what it should have been in the first place.

Veloster RM Concept
Presented at the 2014 Busan International Motor Show in Korea,the two seater model features a 2.0-liter Theta GDI unit generating 295hp or 299PS. Hyundai didn't provide any additional information on the car's performance numbers.

At 4,220mm long, 1,865mm wide and 1,340mm tall study is wider and lower than the conventional Veloster, with the body kit that includes blistered wheel arches with big air intakes on the rear fenders and a large wing at the back, signaling that there's something very different about this Hyundai.

The Koreans said that the chassis has also been upgraded to match the changes to the powertrain setup.

According to Hyundai, "the RM is a concept only to explore possibilities for the Veloster chassis and is currently not related to any future production model".

-> This Veloster can be considered as one of the cars that needs to be built in production! Along with the ranks of Jaguar C-X75, Chrysler's ME-412, Kia Stinger, Lancia Nuovo Stratos, Pontiac/Chevy G8 ST/El Camino, Chevy Code 130R, & Prodrive P2. :grumpy:

Mid engine? Whoa. Wonder what the engine is. Could they have stuck in a 3.8L V6 like what Renault did in the past with the Clio V6 24V? Or perhaps it's a Tau V8...?
^ Well the concept had a High Output 2.0T I-4 rated at 300hp. I would think Hyundai will stick on that engine.

Sell it in the US for less than 40k and this will be my next car.
^ If using the 2.0T, its possible...but with a V6? Um, no.

Overall styling reminds me a lot of the Renault Trophy Cup Cars, which is no bad thing.

If this thing has at least a 2L Turbo and even AWD or RWD, then I'm sold.

-> I was wondering...first was this...then a 6MT Smart...then Honda's cute S660! What is this!? A resurgence on fun mid-engined cars!?

-> ...
The return of fun non-FF cars? I'd cross my fingers twice for that!
^ Unfortunately, since we're both here in the US...the cheapest MR we can get is the upcoming Smart ForTwo with a 6MT after that will be either a 981 of a Alfa 4C. :indiff:

FF can be fun.
^ I agree ('92 Integra GS-R, Fiesta ST, etc.). Its the haters who say that... ;)

With its goblin mouth and baboon butt, this thing catches eyes everywhere it goees. Would it be less conspicuous with matte paint - or more?
