Poor performance by United so far, but a penalty now...

Van Persie with the penalty kick, well placed. 1-0! :D

Good Penalty by RVP, and it was a pen I thought, ref was in a good position...

Brilliant finish of the outside of his boot, great build up play as well, much more like it!!

0-2 full time, solid but not spectacular, but its a good win and we do move above Everton into 6th place, Olympiakos next....

What a game between Liverpool and Swansea!, it finished 4-3 to the pool and three of the goals were belters...and sky didn't show it....idiots!

Spurs don't even look like threatening Norwich right now. Sherwood seriously needs to play the Youth team in the Europa League, the seniors look extremely tired.

Spurs best performing season(2011-12, until they choked in the end) was when they didn't make it out of the Europa League group because players like Dos Santos, Tom Caroll and Andros Townsend were playing. Young players gain experience, senior players rested, needs to be employed by Sherwood.

Oh, and Soldado has already missed two good chances in about 3 minutes since coming on.:irked:

Soldado has got to be the worst signing of the season, Van Wolfswinkel is close but Soldado cost £26 million!

They have won their last three or four games..

@Akmuq knew you were going to say that then

Spurs were rubbish, Norwich up four places!

Great weekend for Liverpool, Everton and now Spurs losing means they are 6 points clear in fourth..

Norwich did United a massive favour today because now Spurs are only 5 points ahead of us. That win meant a lot to Norwich as well.

United can happily have the Europa League ahead of us.

I am seriously not bothered whether or not we get a Europa League place...

Neither am I TBH. In fact, if we don't get UCL then I would rather not be in Europe at all because you play on a Thursday and then only have a 1 day rest until weekend games which I would rather avoid.

Especially if you're travelling back from the middle of nowhere in some newly formed European country.

BBC Sport - Team from Staffordshire end 171 game, 6 year winless streak.

Other news: Andy Morrell steps down as manager at Wrexham. 2nd last year, 13th at the moment. Cannot say this is unexpected, but after the transfer window and before the end of the season leaves us in the lurch and this season is all but a write off.

However, I absolutely salute everything AM did for us. He led us through our darkest hour and five minutes shy of what would have been our greatest triumph. He will never, ever be forgotten by the Racecourse faithful. Who's next for us? Well, discussing lower and non-league managers is going to be pretty meaningless on here but the assistant is in charge for now.

Who's next? Luton Town, increasingly a rival of ours. It so happens that they're miles clear at the top of the table and utterly, utterly cannot stop scoring at the moment. Their last two games were 7-0 and 5-1.

Bookies' tips for vacant Wrexham job

Kenny Dalglish 20/1 - Play in red, had Ian Rush on the books once
Paul Ince 10/1 - The Guv'nor is a big fan of Poundland
Michael Appleton 5/1 - Football's resident prostitute
Sir Alex Ferguson Evens - Fancies a Sunday hobby, wife won't let him have a train set

At the weekend, Wayne Rooney became the first player to score 10 goals in 10 consecutive Premier League seasons...

....and in the Mirror today its says we are going to offer Toni Kroos £250K a week to make him come to the club, I would love to know where we are getting all this money from..

Hmmm, aren't United techically in debt as well?

No he didn't.

Ok so has it been done before?

Also United are in debt but the Glazers are somehow managing to trim a bit at a time off it, when they first took over it was somewhere around the £600-700 million mark but now its about £350 million...

Tuned in to Radio Wales for the Wrexham game. Haven't had the chance to listen in for a while.

3-0 down after 15 minutes. Ouch.

Edit: Losing 4-0 half time.

Did you make that stat up, or did you hear it from a pundit ?

Because if it was a pundit, probably needs to look for another job.
