Arsenal 1-0 Liverpool at half time with the Ox goal and I think Sheff Utd/Forest is 1-1..

Whoa actually Sheffield United are 3-1 up!

Arsenal 2-0, Podolski!!

Horrendous of Howard Webb not to award Liverpool the second penalty, it was 900% stonewall.

Not one of his best days...

Giroud is on to give the team much needed penetration!...

Great cup tie, great atmosphere, loved the 'there's only one Tom Finney' chant during the Minutes silence/applause..

Revised FA Cup draw

Arsenal v Everton
Brighton/Hull v Sunderland
Sheffield United v Sheffield Wed/Charlton
Man City v Wigan

Brighton v Hull is on tomorrow night on BT, Sheff Wed v Charlton was postponed..

Was one of those close matches today, but Arsenal just got us. However, I thought we were going to get another goal there at the end, but just wasn't to be today.

Time to fully focus on the league now, starting with Swansea at home next week.

could be a blessing in disguise for you, focus purely on league now, no distractions.

Didn't see the game so I can't really comment on it, but I let out a sigh of relief when I saw we had won. A very important win, really happy for the team. Apparently a few players were much better such as Ozil, Jenkinson and Podolski, and some have even said Sanogo put in a good shift.

I hear their is a penalty claim from Liverpool fans, and I'm sorry to hear you were unlucky in not getting one if that's true. But so far I haven't seen any of the game so I can't comment 👍

One was called, one looked like a dive from Webb's angle, and one I don't even know what was going on.

Mostly enjoyed the Cup action over the weekend, I saw all the TV games and the only bad one was Sunderland-Southampton which a fairly drab match, but that aside the other games were really good..

I'm going to have a bit of a rant now, about Gary Monk's team selection against Everton, now I know we have two big games this week against Napoli and Liverpool and he was always going to make changes but eight is far too many!, three or four would have been acceptable, we did play well in the first half but as soon as Everton scored their second that was it, but I think we lost that match when he named that team...

So what do you all think of Pelligrini saying that City are currently 'bigger' than United, its a load of rubbish if you ask me, City are better than us at the moment because they are well above us in the league and are chasing the quadruple, but bigger than us? no way!

He probably meant better rather than bigger, or wanted to wind United fans up.

Well the Manchester derby is coming up fairly soon, but it still something like 4 or 5 games away, so its a bit early to start the mind games!

I really can't stand Jose Mouwhineio. Done well to rebound a crappy spell at Real but still can't help but rile Barcelona.

I would laugh my head off if Wigan knock out City!
City have been drawn at home, so no, it looks unlikely, but it puzzles me that they got the home draw for the third time in a row. I wonder if the draw was rigged...

Disappointed Brighton couldn't hold on last night to beat Hull. It was coming though, Hull pressed hard in the latter stages and Brighton sat too deep.

Cracking atmosphere though, Hull fans did well to get down considering the weather disruption. Hell even I only made it to my seat 1 minute before kick off despite leaving an hour and a half before kick off. Should take about 30-35 minutes to get there.

Football this weekend....

Saturday
Arsenal v Sunderland
Cardiff v Hull
Chelsea v Everton (12.45 BT)
Crystal Palace v Man United (5.30 SKY)
Man City v Stoke
West Brom v Fulham
West Ham v Southampton

Sunday

Liverpool v Swansea
Newcastle v Aston Villa (1.30 SKY)
Norwich v Tottenham (4.00 SKY)

Monday Night
Hull v Brighton (FA Cup replay, 7.45 ITV4)

The only stand out game there is Chelsea-Everton although WBA-Fulham is a big game at the bottom....the cup replay is interesting because the cant have it on Tuesday or Wednesday because replays cant be played on Champions League nights according to FA rules so it has to be played on Monday which means both teams played twice in 48 hours....and both managers are delighted with that!

I saw Rooney signed a new £300k a week contract. Ridiculous. He's good yes, but he's not worth that much. The only players in the Premiership that may be worth that amount of money are Aguero and Suarez. That's if you compare them to the highest payed players in the rest of Europe.

I'm happy that Wazza signed a new contract, even with the insane £300k a week.

Him signing contract, Moyes signing a player like Mata in January, and the rumors of £100-200 mill for this summers transfer window is gonna make things interesting. United are again showing that by giving Rooney a fantastic contract they mean business, and that they are going once again for the players on the top shelf.

£300k can be discussed day out, day in if it's worth it or not. I'd say it is.
If Rooney were to leave United, it would be a huge loss. Now we just need him back in his best form and we are getting somewhere.

Is it true he will have a direct input regarding transfers? that's frankly laughable.

United will need to ship out some players, imagine their wage bill to be through the roof.

Yes, and he shouldn't be. Fergie told him to get the **** out of his office in 2011, Moyes gave him a pay rise and full knowledge.

Feel sorry for Everton, held on for so long but we're denied a point when they conceded a goal that hit the ref.

Very, very easy for Arsenal at the moment, passing the ball around as if the Sunderland players are glued to the pitch. 2-0 already :)

Make that 3 . A beautiful 1 touch piece of passing play finished by a Rosicky chip.

The top three won and Cardiff got battered at home to Hull, Palace v United next..Mata, Januzaj, Rooney and RVP all start and Felliani starts as well...

..RE the Rooney contract, I am delighted that he has pledged his future at the club and will spend the rest of his career there (sort of) and we had to pay whatever it took to keep him at the club considering our current position...

0-0 at half time, not a great half, United had plenty of possession but no shots on target, Felliani had best chance...weirdly!

Dissapointed Chelsea won, read it was a dive aswell, very good first half from Arsenal though and a decent comfortable win. Bit of a rest now.

Disappointed with United so far, hasn't been a good performance at all, Palace are well organised...
