One of the things that should have been removed from the game by now. It's not even hard to do. Everyone should know what teams are paying for players and I can't believe the FA don't see it that way.

I absolutely agree, its the fans money if you think about it and we have a right to know how much they are spending...

...also, Liverpool signed Downing for £20 million and sold him for 5, that's what I meant, sorry for any confusion...

If anyone cares Hull have signed Huddlestone on a three year contract and also taken Livermore on a season long loan. Why are Tottenham getting rid of so many depth players? :odd:

They have signed a few midfielders have Spurs, the Huddlestone move is good for the player and Hull, Because Hull have bought a good young player who is hungry and has a point to prove and Huddlestone will get more game time there..

Arsenal aren't a top club any more. There's no chance in hell they can attract the same calibre of players as City or Chelsea.

Just like Liverpool.

Comparing Arsenal to Liverpool? really?

I disagree though we aren't Real Madrid here, but Arsenal are a club with a Manager players respect, have an incredible stadium, world wide support, constant feature in the champions league and have Money to pay huge wages.

Also all our transfer targets were well and truely attainable.

So did Liverpool at one time, except the new stadium but now they are trying to rebuild which has happened due to not bringing in the right players. I think it's fair to compare them.

Also all our transfer targets were well and truely attainable.

Which begs the question as to why none of them were attained. :sly:

Various reasons (can be combined as mismanagment and incompetance by a Manager)

-Higuain well and truely attainable ,thought we'd got him untill Real upped the price,Arsenal (Wrongly)thought Suarez is worth more not knowing for sure about his clause and/or if Liverpool will sell.

Suarez (like above but still possible)

-Rooney (Possible if United really don't want to sell to Chelsea

-Gustavo(didn't assure him he'd be a regular starter also outbid)

-Cesc(won't leave Barca apparently)

-Cesar(no interest)

All the above reasons are proof Wenger is loosing it,needs to do something soon.

Now that Arteta is out for 4-6 weeks we are officialy to the bare bones.

Agreed - the money is there, but Wenger refuses to make any legitimate bids on players. His track record of losing out of players because he refuses to stump up the last 2mil in a deal is long and depressing (Mata, Higuain for example).

It's not that players don't want to come to Arsenal, its that Wenger's lack of decisiveness mean's other team's hoover then up from our grasp.

Liverpool are believed to be winning the race for Anzhi Makhachkala winger Willian, after the owner transfer listed the entire team.

Well Eto'o is on like a million a month after tax and I guess others like Willian will be on stupid money too. Anzhi might have a problem moving some of them because of this. Will they and others learn from this, of course not. :ouch:

Aly Cissokho has signed on loan to Liverpool as well for the season and he's a left back so he'll give Enrique some competition...

Southampton have just signed Pablo Osvaldo for a reported £15 million, which means we have broken our transfer record for a fourth time in 1 year and 3 months.

_________

My Thoughts: I think it is a good signing for us, since it will improve our front line. Also I like how our chairman who is known by my fellow fans as the following, does not mess around:

The Don

That surprises me, Osvaldo was a machine for Roma last season and they've been strengthening over the summer, doesn't seem to line up.

I guess he is getting older.

In other news, Gareth Bale just handed in a transfer request....in my game of Football Manager .

Sweet catch for Soton though risky by Roma. Only Destro is a fit and proper replacement for him at this time, though they've already bought a good few players this window.

As soon as it came into my inbox I said to myself, "This is gold!"

The exodus at Tottenham continues as Scott Parker joins Fulham on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee..

Well he said real Madrid would be a dream move, unhappy with current events and silent about the transfer period. He may as well hand in a transfer request now......

A few bits of transfer news from the Premier league today

I suppose the biggest news is that Willian is having a medical at Tottenham

Johan Elmander has joined Norwich on season loan from Galatasaray

Jason Pucheon has joined Palace on a season loan from Southampton

And Panathinaikos winger Charis Mavrias is having a medical at Sunderland..
