True, and Chelsea are strenuously denying such a bid was made. It doesn't make any sense in any case, given that Mata is a key player.

Well technically Chelsea have 3 players that are technically #10's (Mata, Hazard, Oscar), they may be trying to get rid of one of them and bring in a striker which they are desperately in need of.

That would make sense except for the fact Rooney plays as a #10 as well.

But in that case, if Chelsea want to give Mata and 10 mill for Adebayor that's fine by me.:)👍

Chelsea have confirmed that £10 mill plus Mata or Luiz was NOT the offer they made..

Negredo agrees to join Man City subject to a medical!

Which isn't a surprise. The media have been saying that Mata and Luiz are leaving Chelsea since Mourinho came back, so why not add them into the Rooney talk too. :dopey:

His main role is striker though. The fact that he plays very well at #10 doesn't matter as he doesn't like playing there.

I don't think £60 million will cut it to be honest. I'd say at least £80 million.

No it won't be with the prices these days. It really does depend on if Bale is really happy to stay at Tottenham or not. If he is they'll probably reject any offer.

He's been gone for quite awhile, cut him a little slack.

In other news, Suarez arrived in Melbourne today, and according to Rodgers, Suarez is in great spirits. Good news for us, and he's likely to play on Wednesday, so we'll finally see him link up with Luis Alberto, Aspas, and Coutinho.:D

According to the Madrid newspaper Marca, Real have made an £85 million bid for Bale...EIGHTY-FIVE MILLION!!!!!!!!

€30M for Soldado to move to Tottenham.
And Villas Boas assures the continuaty of Bale.
Another refused offer for Fabregas from Man Utd.
Moyes said Rooney is going to stay.
Chelsea signed Cuevas, 18 yo. He been tested for a year in Stanford Bridge.

For now that's about it

Damn I hope Bale doesn't leave, Tottenham have made a couple of exciting signings, they along with Bale and the rest of the team would make for a very tasty top of the table battle next season. It would be a shame for the Premier League to lose such a world class player.

Just saw this on twitter, 'when Arsenal made the 40 million plus a quid bid for Suarez the extra pound was for Stewart Downing' :D

So much promise from Arsenal's owners over big new signings....

Yeah but alot of insiders are still sure Arsenal will spend big,a 40 Million bid is atleast a sign that not all is lost.

I reckon if we get Cesc and Suarez plus Ashley williams and a defensive mid we are title contenders and probable winners.

That's a very big if there... :P

 Yeah I know ,was a bit dreaming there. I bet we won't sign anyone before the emirates cup then Higuain will score against us ,that would create a reaction from the fans

Sad News today people... :(

Recently signed by El Jaish Sports Club from Qatar, Christian "Chucho" Benítez, passed away today...

3 time goal scoring Champion in Mexico, he last played with América, where he won the Mexican League last season...

I'm not an América fan but, either way, it's a tragic loss... :(

ADIÓS CHUCHO...

I haven't been following his whereabouts since he left Birmingham City, but that is very sad news regardless. It always is when someone so young goes so suddenly.

RIP Chucho.

Just read on Bleacher Report that Spurs have told RM that they'd let go of Bale for €120 million.

Wasn't Ronaldo like €80 million?

I believe it was 80 million pounds, which at the time was 94 million euro, but an astonishing sum of money.

Even with AVB and Baldini's good records in the transfer market, I don't want Bale to leave, no amount of money could convince me if I was Levy. I would prefer Bale over the potential of having 3 other world class players.

All these reports have been a complete mess by the way, no official word has been made by Madrid(apart from something speculative from Zidane), Spurs, Bale or any of the players linked in a possible trade plus money move. There is still something in my head saying Bale doesn't want to leave but he hasn't come forward in all these reports, could be him staying silent while he works a way to Madrid or it could be the clubs order telling him not to speak while they reject Madrid's advances.
