My guess is Thiago for Nani.

Why wou;d Barcelona want Nani? And why would Nani ever be valuable enough to cover Thiago?

As for Arsenal apparently bidding on Suarez, it's little more than a stunt by them to show the rest of the league that they have money, and also an attempt to lower Higuain's price by letting Real know they don't have to get him. It would re ridiculous for them to end up losing out on Higuain because they don't want to pay the additional 2m they apparently need to meet his price, then again, that extra 2m could buy a lot of U20 French players.

It would not make sense for Suarez to be sold to another PL club, since he has a 5 match ban to serve anyway, and his general controversy and negative image. There's also the fact that he wants to go to Madrid, and his ban will not matter in Spain.

One good season and already asking to leave says a lot about Benteke and not in a good way. I wouldn't be paying £20+ million for him but not doubt someone with more money than sense will.

Chelsea and City fit the bill on that then. I don't think Atletico will push to hard for him after they just signed Villa, and Liverpool would probably enter talks with the wrong club altogether.

Good news about Bony, im happy with that! 👍

So Pep has said that Bayern are in interested in Thiago, who wants to more first team football which he is not getting right now at Barca and he wont get it at Bayern either, will he get it at United?..i think so...

It'll be a real shame if he goes to Bayern as he won't get regular play time and hence, won't improve. I know both teams have new managers and they both want to make their own teams but at the end of the day, it's down to Thiago and his agent. I hope he joins United though. He'll be a good signing for Moyes to put his mark on the team.

Not confirmed yet though.

Oh and Bony has signed for Swansea for £12 million breaking the clubs transfer record.

I know but lets face it Lucas, Robben, Lewandowski, Sneijder, Ronaldinho, Ozil to name but a few all snubbed us for other clubs hell even that pile of plop Obi Mikel did the same and Bale chose Spurs back in the day. Why the hell cant we attract top players anymore.

Gascoigne and Shearer also snubbed United back In the day, Shearer snubbed us twice and Gazza turning down United for Spurs turned out to be one of the greatest 'what if's' in football...

In more ways than one if SAF had gotten hold of Gazza back then the fella wouldn't be in the mess he is now im certain of that such a shame.:guilty:

That's exactly what I mean, he was one of the best players in the country in the late 80s and he would have been a massive signing for United, Fergie would've sorted him out..no doubt about it!

Shearer snubbed us for Blackburn the first time around and then for Newcastle...and we came really close to signing him before he decided to join his home town team!

i honestly don't know what to say bayerns midfield is stacked with talented players

what on earth would thiago add

i already miss Jupp

The two clubs have agreed a fee of 25million euro's its practically a done deal.............sigh.:indiff:

SAF kept you inline not just on the pitch but off it too. He had expectations and if you didn't meet them then you'd get a stern word no doubt.

Few years of good living and I doubt he'd be like that either.

So, this guy, a former Pichichi and 1st choice forward of the Spanish National team is worth 5.1 Million...

And this guy, second team player, who will probably continue being a 2nd team player in his new team is worth 25 million???

**** logic...

Just thinking back to some weird transfers here, remember when Real Madrid signed Woodgate, and then 6 months later Graveson?

Excuse me but... the age argument isn't just good enough for me... Bottom line, Atlético got a bargain and Bayern got trolled...

IMHO...

I agree with you.:) Villa is a total bargain compared to prices that most other players go for these days and I don't understand Bayern paying that for a midfielder when their midfield was already very good before.

Villa will not get any better, he has already reached his peak and likely only has a handful of seasons left in him. Thiago has massive potential, and in the long run, could be a very good investment for 25 million.

Potential is overvalued since many players never reach it and some don't even come close. It should be a bonus to a signing not a deciding factor in price.

A proven goal scorer for less than six million is always a bargain, even if he does only last a few more seasons.

A young player like Thiago will always cost more than one nearer the end of his career but nearly £20 million more is too much.

I'm quite stunned by the idea that Chelsea are willing to get rid of Juan Mata, let alone to the League Champions. £10 million plus Mata seems like a good deal for a player who has made it clear he wants to leave.

Well if I was in charge at Man Utd the only way I'd let Rooney leave for Chelsea is if Mata is included in the deal, of course Chelsea would be a bit dumb to do this. I can't see Chelsea doing it and whatever their offer was it's been rejected. Also Mata may not want to leave or go to Man Utd in any case.

Well Chelsea now say that they have had their bid rejected but that they never offered a player as well. Personally, I think that is a very good deal, Rooney out Mata in plus £10 million to spend on maybe Baines.
