Bradley does have potential, as he showed by finishing 2nd in the 125s. He just needs a good bike, those 2 years on the pathetic Tech 3 Moto 2 bike can hardly be helpful for his confidence. Just look at the other riders who have had it; Simeon, Louis Rossi and Danny Kent. Only Bradley has scored a point on it since last August and Simeon looks pretty solid on a Kalex now.
Also, if you think Bradley should be running alongside Cal already you're a bit deluded; while Marquez is already up to speed he is a freak of nature and most people take time.
Just to clarify, I don't think Smith should be chosen over Crutchlow next year I just think you lot are being a bit harsh.

If he's still struggling to be within 7/8 tenths of Crutchlow by the end of the season then he has to go. There are too many talented riders out there to be as far off Cal as he is.

EDIT: Cal commenting on the situation on crash

I like the sound of the last few words in that article.

I believe I posted the photos of the testing of the prototype that they're using, apparently they will be present at the Catalunya test.

Disappointing quali for Rossi, but great lap from Dovisioso 👍. They are predicting rain for the race tomorrow, but even if not so, Marquez vs Lorenzo II is on the cards :D.

I can only assume that someone said "Alright, boys, when you get to Museum, make sure you fall over!" at some point before the Moto2 race.

Good race by Redding, a shame he won it largely thanks to the red flag and a lot of DNFs. I don't think I've seen Marquez in the wet on a big bike but I imagine he'll be fast today regardless of the weather as will Lorenzo.

EDIT: Nice to see Hamilton is a MotoGP fan.

I'd also say he is the most likely to bin it given his history!

I'd love to know what was going on with Pol and Rabat in Moto2...and poor old Takaaki (sp?). Leading my a country mile and bins it.

Good result again for Binder in Moto3 albeit as a result of retirements. I think that is 3 straight top 10's.

What a race so far and what a pass from Pedrosa on Dovisiozo!

Edit: Crutchlow is on fire!

Edit 2: Argh! Rossi down. :ill:

Disappointing from Yamaha and Bradl, but well done to Crutchlow and Marquez for great rides.

Pedrosa is looking like the real deal this year, but the real test will be when it comes to banging fenders with Marquez and whether he steps or or backs down.

Great recovery from Marquez.

Even as a Marquez fan, I had my doubts about his ability to challenge for the title this year. I know it's early days yet, but I think he'll be right up there come the end of the season.

If that was Marquez in a bad race where he was learning the limits in the wet then I'm sure he will be up there come the end of the season, he can't let Dani get away though because he can really reel off the wins.

I usually have a lot of time for Steve Parish, but his latest work is utter garbage:

Crutchlow is new 'alien'.

I like Cal, and respect his abilities but the dude hasn't even won a race yet and he is suddenly a racing legend!.

Considering he is riding on last years bike and not the same as the factory bikes I do think its an impressive ride. Then to ride with a fractured knee makes it more impressive. And he was fastest Yamaha, even with all those disadvantages I think it is a brilliant ride.

Senna was called a legend or all time great in 1984 and he hadn't won a race.

I can't wait to see Cal at Silverstone as if he stays injury free I think he could win, he was impressive last year (before crashing in qual) so I see no reason why he couldn't win if he stays injury free.

I don't think Cal is at a disadvantage whenever he gets an injury, he's more familiar riding with an injury than without. He can definitely win at Silverstone.

The old "it was said of Senna" argument is tenuous to say the least. I am not bagging the guy - he is very quick and is keeping Rossi honest via a satellite bike, which is great. I also respect his toughness, picking himself off the floor after an off and rushing back to the pits to jump on another bike shows his passion and commitment 👍.

One swallow doesn't a summer make - to be put into the same sentence as the guys in the article required a bit more then a few podiums is all I am saying.

He deserves a factory ride, but it seems unlikely to happen at Tech 3. Honda is buttoned up as a Ducati, so it's either Rossi (if he doesn't eventually start finding his feet more consistently) or Suzuki if he wants a factory bike. Slim odds - it would be a waste to see him on a CRT for sure.

Yeah I completely agree with all that, he does need a better bike to prove himself an alien. I guess its too soon to judge but if he keeps this up surely a proven rider and one of the best in motogp? I think if he loses his ride and quits it will be a sad day cos hes got a lot of talents and a very likable guy.

It would be a waste to see him go to WSBK or Moto2 until a factory bike opens up. Hopefully Suzuki and then Kawasaki come back to open the door to more opportunities. Who knows, if Bradl keeps on binning it week in and out, maybe he'll end up on the LCR Honda!

He said if he cant stay in motogp he would go cycle racing. :( I do hope Suzuki return if he has no other options, would love to see the blue machines back.👍

Don't forget that Hayden's contract is up at the end of this season, and Cal has been strongly linked with that seat or the aforementioned Suzuki ride.

Speaking of Suzuki, Randy de Puniet is off to Motegi to test their new prototype chassis.

Don't think Hayden would go, he has proven himself against the best and he is a Motogp champion - helps to have at least one champ on your team, for image and experience.

I hope Suzuki do come back as there is nothing confirmed, hopefully see John Hopkins back on a bike too.

Boy did Marquez have a crash yesterday! Losing control at 210mph and locking up the front wheel. I locked up my front on my 125 at about 20mph the other day and it shocked me. The footage was just frightening and you can barely even see it, although I've heard there is CCTV footage somewhere (similar to Rossi's leg break there 3 years ago) which tells more of the story.
