Great qualifying sessions all round today, no surprise to see Crutchlow on the floor once more! Disappointed to see Rossi in 7th, hopefully he can come good in the race tomorrow.

wow I didnt saw Marquez accident until know, pretty big crash.

As for the motoGP qualification I'm very very disapointed with Rossi. After the Qatar race I was very positive again but since then he didnt do anything really impressive. I hope he'll be able to do a good race tomorrow but seeing the consistency of Lorenzo times, I dont see how Rossi could even come close to him. He probably will fight for the 3rd or 4th place depending on Marquez and Crutchlow form. Dovizioso can do something too maybe. It's gonna be exciting.

Moto3 was a bit disappointing considering the build up to the last lap, hope Kornfeil (I believe it was him) is ok after the accident.

It was Ferrari who fell in front of Kornfeil and got hit; I can't find any headlines about him so hopefully that means he is ok. Pretty boring race though, I would agree.

Moto2 was good - I hope de Angelis gets carded for punting Simeon off like that though, it was a pretty bonehead overtake. Nakagaami needs to reign it in a bit to start converting his promising starts. Redding is looking great this year though, be it early days still.

MotoGP was pretty exciting - it looked like Pedrosa was waiting to pounce and just waiting to make a move to break Jorge and then Jorge just dropped him like a bad habit! Very disappointing result for Rossi....a few more DNF's and Yamaha will be wondering if Cal should be on the M1 next year...

Damn, rossi was taken out by an...well...normal silly racing incident....result=both riders not hurt!!!!!good!!

But unfortunately, this ruined the race(for me as a rossi fan and also the 70+ thousand on the stands)but thats racing innit...

A real shame as i think Rossi's race pace should have been as good to be on the podium today...guess we will never know wont we...

Pedrosa mate....,you better watch you teammate if he hangs on to his bike...you only won because he is faster then the bike is....!!!

seriously,or Marquez wil kill himself,or he wil be the next Rossi...

Time will tell!!!!

Spy.

Espargaro definitely deserve a better bike, but not keeping Crutchlow might be a big blow for Tech3, he's done some pretty good race since the start of the season. I didn't even know that Smith was on a Tech3 Yamaha, I assumed he was on a much worst bike.

I would put Esparagaro on the second Tech 3 Yamaha seat, and bump Bradley some where else if not back to Moto 2. He had proved nothing to pick up a ride like that. I would have rather seen that ride go to Pol Esparagaro or Scott Redding. And the last time I was here posting someone slammed me for saying Scott Redding could be the next consistent front runner and now he is just like I said. I have a good eye for talent!

Yep you definitely need something special to be the youngest ever grand prix winner, I would make a late decision on signing Pol because at the moment he's being beaten by Rabat who never seemed to stand out before. By the way Redding is the youngest of the championship contenders so hopefully that means he has the most potential to improve, he's big to so he should be able to ring the neck of a bigger bike in a similar way to how he rides his Moto2 bike.

If he could do it then all that talk about Ben Spies not coming up thru Moto 2 because of his size is in the muck now! My poor Americans they are all going to end up on Satellite Ducati's racing for top 10's in the future with an all Italian Ducati Factory Squad if Andrea finds speed soon'

I can't see any fast Americans coming through the MotoGP classes or World Superbikes either which is a shame, Spies showed incredible speed last year in Catalunya and Indy but his form over the last one and a bit seasons has been a mystery. Size didn't stop Simoncelli from taking poles on a Gresini.

Anyone see the Spanish GP?

Either the track was pretty slippery or the suspension on those bikes were a bit off.

It was pretty surprising to see some bikes just trash their riders.

It might have been the tyres. They used two stage different duel compounds e.g. hard & soft rather than hard & medium on either side of the tyre.

Everyone who went down did so on a left hander and for most of them, a different left hander, so no particular corner was the issue.

Call me pessimistic, but I'm worried now Redding's lead is down to 35 points haha!
Back to the Tech 3 debate, Bradley has a 2 year contract so his seat is sealed for next year. I'd rather see Cal's bike go to Aleix Espargaro than Pol because he is proving himself to be head and shoulders over RDP on the same bike.

But it makes you wonder whether or not RDP is performing to his potential, at times he looked incredible on his satelitte Honda but the vast majority of the time he seemed pretty average. It would have been nice to see Suzuki come in next year with 2 bikes because at the moment there is a shortage of competitive bikes.

Hopefully the customer Yamaha and Honda will improve that. Obviously they won't be at the front but they will fill the gap between the slower prototypes and the quicker CRTs (which is getting smaller anyway)
A small point on Randy, if I was married to Lauren Vickers I'd find it difficult to get the energy to ride a bike, let alone quickly ;)

That's exactly how I feel. Can't believe Bradley even got the ride better yet a 2 year contract. Insane!!!

Preparing myself to head off to Assen tomorrow early morning.
Even had to bring in my rear tyre to let it be vulcanized because of a nail in it.

Getting my tyre back in about an hour. :D

Fantastic to see Crutchlow on pole, I think he really deserved it! Really happy to see Lorenzo try and race tomorrow. Moving on to Moto2, I'm also happy to see West in 6th.

Lorenzo will try to race tomorrow despite his injury, foolish if you ask me especially when you consider where he will start (12th).

Brilliant recovery from Lorenzo and the decision to race was a brilliant one

You've changed your tune :P

What a hero though, fifth is pretty special considering the injury.
