No way in hell we'll get three points against Serbia!

No Williams, no Jonny Williams, Bellamy doubtful, Bale not starting.....no chance!

Going to watch England over Wales tonight as Wales are getting a battering and the England game should be good...

I don't know what I'd prefer to do tonight - watch the Scotland game, or lick piss off nettles.

I can beat that.

I'm not sure whether to watch Wales, sans Gareth Bale, play frigging Serbia, or sodomise myself with a rusty fishing knife.

Away from the home nations a minute. San Marino have actually scored!

At long last!

And apparently Scotland have found someone who can actually play football! Anya... his first start as a Scotland player and he's been by far our best player tonight... and a lovely finish for his first international goal.

1-0 win at Georgia. A bit sloppy, but a win's a win, and 3 points in the bracket, not to mention the points gained for the FIFA Rankings. :)

I've always said he should have been playing for Scotland. I wasn't like "who?!?" at all...

Ridiculous offside and booking against Anya there... that's got to be the first time I've ever seen someone ruled offside when there were three players between the striker and the goalkeeper... rubbish decision. It would be squeaky bum time if not for the fact that we're bottom of the group :indiff:

Not for much longer... :indiff:

Well that was the most boring game I have ever watched. Out of 23 WQC's that was the only 0-0.

Northern Ireland has lost against Luxembourg.

And Wales isn't looking very bright either.

And since Romania lost against Turkey, the Netherlands are going to Brasil.

Are Holland and Italy the first two European teams through?

Oh, and I know that Ireland were screwed anyway, they played terrible, one of our best players didn't have the ball without losing it, the subs were terrible etc. But the thing I'm most annoyed about is the bad refereeing...

Ireland shouldn't have had a chance to win that game, but the offside calls and the Yellow cards given were seriously poor from the officials, that referee should be reviewed for the fouls at least, it was ridiculous!

But yeah, poor performance, Alaba's last minute goal back in Dublin signalled the beginning of the end of Ireland's World Cup Hopes and Trappatoni's reign as Ireland coach, since then, they've been poor in the big games.

Dos a cero!!!

We are going to Brazil, we are going to Brazil, we are going, yes we are going, we are going to Brazil....

That's pretty sad for Mexico's players, I mean, last year an the start of this they were like winning everything and everyone, and then, this...

See you in Russia... hopefully 👎:indiff:

Dempsey didn't scored that one on purpose

I hope that didn't hurt his confidence. That would have been his first goal against Mexico.

It didn't, he obviously failed that penalty on purpose, I mean, the goal is not 10 meters to the right

But it'd be a good chance to humilliate Mexico as a revenge after 2011's Gold Cup with a 3-0 on their favor

I couldn't really see from the angle they showed it. He looked fine in an interview after though.

Now we cross our fingers to avoid the Group of Death...

Eh, World Cups don't always play out to what the FIFA rankings suggest. Colonel Klink definitely has the USA playing with pride.

As for Mexico, I wonder what this loss feels like compared to being eliminated from WC 2002. According to the tables, they are currently sitting at 5th, tied with Panama. I think only one match remains now for all teams in CONCACAF. So they have to play like Mexico is being invaded by the zombie of Montezuma just to have a second chance thrown their way via the playoff with New Zealand.

Edit: two games left, but they have to face Panama at Azteca (no longer the fortress it once was) and the Ticos in Costa Rica. So it's not entirely over yet for Mexico.

Congratulations to the US soccer team... the best team won yesterday...

See you on Russia everybody...

They have to win to Panama and at least tie with Costa Rica to go vs. New Zealand for a place in the World Cup

The England game was impossibly dull last night, still, cant argue with a point away to a good Ukraine team

Also, Trappatoni and his assistant have been sacked by the Irish FA after poor results against Sweden and Austria...cant say im too surprised about that tbh..

There's a timeline in post one.

I haven't updated it since Monday because I was at Silverstone, but there were no Europeans in the list then and now, at least when I update it shortly, there will be.
