You've already been eliminated? I thought this set of rounds just started?

Although my assumption that the rounds (although in different formats) are synchronized may be wrong.

Euro qualifying started in September, a lot of teams have played 6 from 10 games already so San Marino and Malta are out, as well as Scotland, which is a shock to have this early.

We have a much simpler process than North, Central and Caribbean Americas but we do the same 8 groups of 6 and one of 5 for the European championship qualifying as well so we are doing that while you're in the earlier rounds so it might be a bit confusing.

Whatever happened to the England fans?, they used to be really entertaining with their variety of songs and chants. Now all you get is a bunch of annoying idiots with trumpets and endless repeats of the national anthem. Come on England fans, step it up, be more imaginative and maybe your team will do the same!.

Good slate of games coming up in the next couple of weeks. CL final on Saturday and USA plays Belgium and Germany (only 300 miles from home, I want to go so bad!) in a pair of home friendlies at the end of the month. Then the US picks up qualifying with 3 matches in a week and a half span. Hoping for anywhere from 4 to 7 points from those three.

First of 5 match days for USA here in the next couple of weeks. Belgium have brought the big guns in for our friendly in Cleveland.

I'm excited to watch Stuart Holden and also to see how our attack of Dempsey, Altidore, and Johnson continues to mesh.

England have a match against Ireland tonight at Wembley...

Ashley Cole gets the captains armband for his 100th cap. It's only a friendly though. Our next WCQ's are in September I believe.

I think England are the only home nation with a game tonight, so ill be watching...they have got Brazil at the weekend havent they?

Yeah I'd avoid London tonight. And yes, in Brazil. Hopefully we can beat them again.

I have to say that Englands new Nike kit looks quite smart! 👍

Piss poor first 20 minutes from the US. We get a garbage goal from a corner, which offsets the goal caused by awful defensive communication.

1-1 at the half, pleased.

Not much to note, Belgium shouldve been given a PK for a handball, and Vermaelen was taken off due to injury. Benteke came on, we will have to guard Lukaku and Benteke for the last 45'.

4-2 final, Belgium. Two of their goals were bullcrap mistakes which I don't think will continue, and the other two were amazing football by Benteke and Fellaini. De Bruyne was also good to watch. We made some good chances. I'd like to see how we rebound against Germany and hopefully get some momentum before heading to Kingston.

at the end of.the week the qualifiers return to south america.

im really excited about this, this 2 matches, against paraguay (in paraguay, pretty tough) and bolivia (in.chile, should be easy) are really important to Chile, we must win both of them. The good thing is that now with our new.coach we are playing good and beautiful again.

ps:embarrassed:h reading this topic i got to know that kilnsmann is now the usa.coach, what a name! that should be really good.to them.

England are playing Brazil tonight, the game is at the Maracana for the first time since it was closed for renovations..the match was temperarily suspended on thursday over safety fears, but its definitely on now..

...also Hodgson has reportedly only got 14 fit players to choose from..so thats a crumbling England team playing in a crumbling stadium!

Maracana is the really old one that holds some outrageous number like 200,000 people, right?

Second friendly today. We play Germany, and should have Michael Bradley back. Germany shouldn't have anyone who played in the cup final yesterday (Neuer, Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Müller, Gomez, Boateng) unless some crazy travel has happened.

I'm hoping to see a positive showing from Jozy Altidore, garnering some confidence before Kingston.

It did once hold 200,000 back in the 1950 world cup final...but i think now it holds around 76,000...

Hopefully the match tonight will be a little more entertaining to watch than the England Ireland match, what a waste of 90 minutes that was.

but thats what these end of season friendlies are like though, all the players would rather be on their holidays...

...but with the players that are on show, tonight should be better!

ARGH! Can't watch the USA game live, stupid prior engagements. No one post scores please.

That was because there were massive amounts of standing places. Now it is all numbered seats. No more $1 tickets. The cheapest seats are now $30. The FIFA regulations killed the best ambiance of the world. It's a shame.

FIFA regulations also understand that evacuating 200,000 people in an orderly and calm manner in the event of an emergency is just not happening. It's lawsuit city basically to FIFA lawyers.

Just now watching the game on DVR. Go USA!

ALTIDORE! Woohoo!! What a volley.

Sweet own goal by Ter Stegen :D.

DEMPSEY! Two absolute stunners!!!

Good win, although Germany looked like coming back. Hopefully some momentum for Friday.

England were great in the second half and theres nothing wrong with getting a 2-2 against Brazil, what a moment for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain!

But, in the first half, we would have been about 5-0 down at HT if it wasn't for the heroics of Joe Hart. And I have to agree with you on the goal. Rooney's was pretty spectacular as well.

Mexico vs Jamaica right now, this game is going to be easy for Mexico, but hopefully it doesn't turn out like the last time they had a match

Edit.

Score!!! :D 1-0

Hopefully Jamaica will be a little tired coming into Friday.

Riiight, Finland-Belarus coming tomorrow. It's not like either team would actually make the Cup without having the Spanish and French teams abducted by aliens, but for the sake of World Rankings, it would be beneficial to actually win a match for a change. :dopey:

Big game tomorrow night. I'm excited.

I would cheer for Finland just because of the awesomeness of the flag and I love Jussi Jääskeläinen.
